Hiya everyone,

Had a great time in Ibiza, got a bit burnt onthe first day so then spent the next few days in the shade - me and sun just don't mix. Got very drunk, very hungover then very drunk again - all in all was a good holiday.

I can't do Thursday and won't be able to do next week either because DH has got the day off on Tuesday as he gets back from Glastonbury on Monday but will def have to meet up the week after as I haven't seen you guys for ages.

Gingermonkey · 19/06/2007 14:00

Welcome home Chloe!!!! Glad you had a good time. I wish I was going on holiday soon, G goes in just over 2 weeks to Spain with a friend and I am . It's not until the middle of August that we go.

are you going phoenix?

Gingermonkey · 21/06/2007 07:39

It would be nice to meet you stinky if you fancy it In case you do decide to come along, my DS has curly ginger hair and is wearing a shirt and shorts today. I am tall, have glasses, short dark hair with a kind of orangey coloured fringe (not a very good description - sorry!). Hopefully see you and phoenix there!

StinkyPete · 21/06/2007 09:30

you've pro already set off, but we're planning on coming. blond ds 4.5 and ginger dd 1.5, we'll look for out for a ginger and a sausage

sarahhal · 21/06/2007 16:37

Hope you all had a good meet up (roll on September when I won't be working Thursday and Fridays) Stinky, I can't believe that your DS is 1.5!! Tom is two at the end of August which is also unbelievable - just hope he gets some sentences together by then!

Say hello to trace for me Phoenix - have still got some bits that go with the things I gave her which I must work out how to get to her!

StinkyPete · 21/06/2007 17:25

hi sarah, we thought of you!!
most embarrassing thing i#ve done for a long time? - approach complete strangers in a playbarn and ask "are you sausage and ginger?"
thank goodness i was right first time!!!

hello there justaboutmanaging. Some of us meet up most weeks and when the summer comes round and sarahhal won't be working there'll be more of us, so you can definately join us! My DD is almost 8 and DS will be 2 in october, it's very nice to meet you
stinky it was lovely to meet you today (and to have another little ginge to admire!). Thank God you were right first time, can you imagine the response if you'd have gone up to someone else and asked if they were either ginger or sausage?!> Maybe we should have codenames for future meetups with people we haven't met before - bagsy I'm something exotic like Shaneekwa or Zanika (I know someone with a DD called Zanika, and her other one is called LeShon....I know you'll all be stealing those classy names for future LOs ). Hopefully we'll see you next thurs if you fancy it, stinky?
What's happening with the summer picnic, sarah? I've lost the thread.

sarahhal · 21/06/2007 21:13

Don't know about the picnic Ginger, will try and find it and bump it!!

Hello justaboutmanaging, where in Wakefield are you moving to?

Gingermonkey · 22/06/2007 14:27

thanks sarah

Chloe55 · 22/06/2007 16:17

Can I be Chardoney?

Gingermonkey · 23/06/2007 09:30

Yes! I am Shaneekwa, you are Chardonnay. What does everyone else want to be? Shall I make name badges? I think I should. Is your hubby in Glasto this weekend, Chloe? My BIL is. I'd go if I could stay in a motor home next door to the posh folk - the thought of indie kids smoking weed near my tent upsets me! I'm a sensitive soul. I hope it doesn't pi$$ it down the whole time, they'll get all muddy and it won't be much fun for you when you have his washing to do next week. (look sarah - if I use different symbols I can swear as much as I like and you can read it at school!!!)

Phoenix · 23/06/2007 23:08

lol at stinky asking for Ginger and Sausage

Did you have a good time? Sorry i couldn't make it but our bedroom ceiling fell down the other day, long story but to do with having our roof done and the rain and leaks We're covered on our home insurance and it's been fixed on Weds and Thurs next week. We're staying at my parents this week though cos it's a complete mess in our bedroom.

It started as a small leak like this and at 1.10am it looked like this I can sort of laugh about it now cos it can only happen to us but at the time i was nearly in tears.

Gingermonkey · 24/06/2007 11:40

oh Phoenix - I would have cried buckets! At least you weren't asleep and got woken by the ceiling falling on your head, or even worse on L's cot. At least the insurance company are getting it fixed quickly, that's pretty impressive. What would you like to be known as for meeting new MNers? I think you'd make a lovely Chanelle, or Mercedes (I know people with both of those names - I know some high quality people you know!)

sarahhal · 24/06/2007 13:45

Oh Phoenix, what a nightmare

Ginger, thank f@@k you can do that!!! Now then, my name. I'm thinking not just Chantelle but I think Chantella has a nice ring to it?? Actually, let's spell it Shantella. That's me then!!

Phoenix · 24/06/2007 14:30

Ginger we were asleep and it fell on our legs. Dh has got a lovely bruise on his knee. I dread to think if it had been in L's room.

Gingermonkey · 24/06/2007 16:31

Shantella - that's a f*&%ing lovely name (I had a friend at school caleed Chantal - haven't I had some lovely friends?!, I may make a list of them and their high class hooker names!).
Phoenix - that is so sh!t. I feel really sorry for you!!!! This rain is ridiculous - it's doing my head in. I'm surpised my house hasn't collapsed with the amount of water falling on it. I want it to be summer!

Chloe55 · 25/06/2007 11:09

Yeah Ginger- dh gets home later on today, he said it has been really bad weather all weekend almost. Some tents have been completely washed away (luckily not his). He has really enjoyed it but said it has been a bit tiring because you have to be on your feet all the time due to the ground being a mud bath. The weathe is awful todya though, I hate the thought of him driving home in this - I'm such a worrier.
