madmarchhare · 05/06/2007 10:37

Hello all

So, I just about come round to the idea of a local meet, and Im going back to work.

Sarahal, Im pleased you enjoyed Sundown . It always a worry when you recommend somewhere.

Gingermonkey · 05/06/2007 10:48

bloody useless!!! oooh who's this then? Hello madmarchhare - how are you?

madmarchhare · 05/06/2007 11:17

Very well thank you .

Have been on MN for aaaages. I live in Barnsley.

Have been sahm mum for 3 1/2 years and just going back to work in a couple of week. Am very scared.

Gingermonkey · 05/06/2007 13:05

I'd be scared too! What job are you going to do? I'm a sahm and live in Midgley (just down the road from YSP). It's very nice to meet you - what LOs do you have? I have a boy who's 19mths and a girl who's almost 8. So I've been at home since I got preggers with her....a very long time ago!

Chloe55 · 05/06/2007 13:32

I've noticed your name on here loads MMH - I didn't know you lived in Barnsley!

Well, ds has so far eaten a piece of poo , peed in my trainer, peed on the leather sofa, luckily I have oodles of sheets covering the carpet. When I put him down for his nap this morning I just covered his mattress with a few towels, the wee soaked through to the mattress - it is semi-waterproof, if that makes sense! Anyway, I cleaned down the white mattress with a few babywipes and they were black - the mattress honestly does look white, I can't believe how filthy it is! This led to a whole massive wash down and so ds is still having to nap on a load of towels, despite now having a nappy on, because teh mattress is wet!

Gingermonkey · 05/06/2007 18:51

Mucky bugger

madmarchhare · 05/06/2007 21:40

I have one ds.

I will doing doing admin/coordinating type stuff in the NHS.

madmarchhare · 05/06/2007 21:41

Did either of you do the walk at YSP?

Gingermonkey · 05/06/2007 22:40

No, I wanted to but had a wedding to go to (which was a bit rubbish!). When do you go back to work?

Chloe55 · 06/06/2007 15:56

No, I couldn't go either.

Well, got some antibiotics for the tonsilitis and a new drug for my migraines which I have never had beofre so hopefully, if I get an attack on holiday I might be able to fend most of the pain off.

Ds's bum is still a bit sore but at least he doesn't cry out in pain when I change his nappy. He is at nursery today so no hope of having him nappy free but just hope they change his nappy often enough to not cause a regression - they are usually very good though.

Gingermonkey · 07/06/2007 19:06

Hope you are feeling better, chloe. I'm going to Rome in the morning for the weekend so have bumped this so it stays on threads I'm on

sarahhal · 07/06/2007 21:35

Hello all! Didn't start a new thread did we so guess who hasn't been able to get on during the day
Off to Edinburgh tomorrow for the weekend with some old school friends - can't wait!! Even the thought of three hours on the train is luxury as I will be able to just read and relax without any interuptions from small people. Ah but I know I'll miss them like mad and no doubt end up pissed and tearful by Saturday night
Thanks for the tip about Sundown madmarchmare. Hope your return to work goes smoothly.
Looks like we have sorted a childminder for DS1 - off to see a woman in Middlestown who will collect from our school, so fingers crossed that she's nice. Just need to get DS2 sorted with a nursery for two days now. Went to a lovely one in Shepley but maybe just a little bit out of my way.
Have a good weekend and I will be MN free for the first time in far too long!

Chloe55 · 08/06/2007 09:30

Have a great weekend you two (and everyone else obviously).

Feeling better but got terrible tummy cramps yesterday which the doc thinks was an antibiotic reaction so I have had to pay for another prescription for some other antibiotics!

Did I tell you I was going to Ibiza on Wednesday?

Phoenix · 08/06/2007 17:48

Hello, I'm back from Scotland so just re-adding this to threads I'm on then I'll catch up on everything I've missed

sarahhal · 10/06/2007 21:32

How was Scotland Phoenix? Where did you go?
Had a fab time in Edinburgh - two child free days were bliss. Have fun in Ibiza Chloe!

Phoenix · 10/06/2007 22:13

We were at a Haven site in Ayr. It was ok but there wasn't much around the site to go to and on the site was great for older kids but nothing for Lew's age really but he had fun playing football with daddy (a football that he nearly screamed Morrisons down for til we bought him it )

Phoenix · 13/06/2007 09:18

Where is everyone??????

Gingermonkey · 13/06/2007 10:41

I've been stuck in the utility room attached to the washing machine . Fancy meeting up tomorrow morning? I think sausage is up for it too.

Phoenix · 14/06/2007 17:46

Soz Ginger we had a bit of a stressful morning so i didn't feel like coming out. We're having our roof done and have found that the dorma window in the attic is knackered and since the roofers have been messing we woke up in a puddle of water in the bottom of our bed this morning at 5.30am , it was dripping down the light fitting so we had to scrammble together our buckets to catch all the many drips. We still daren't put the light on . It can only happen to us.

Gingermonkey · 14/06/2007 19:10

poor you! I couldn't come out and play either - SIL is going on hols for a week and leaving her LO so she was stressing, bless her! Had to reassure her that I would make sure he would be OK! Don't know why she was reassured - he cries every time I go near him the little git!

Phoenix · 17/06/2007 18:34

What's happened to everyone on this thread its never been so quiet.

I know Chloe's in Ibiza but helloooooooooo where's everyone else?

For those of you that have met her Trace2 had her baby girl (chloe) on Monday so she can join in on our meet ups again soon. I've been cuddling baby Chloe today she is sooooooo tiny and gorgeous (she only weighed 5lb 8oz) Lewis was never as small as she is (he was 9lb 2oz)

Gingermonkey · 17/06/2007 21:56

I've been down at my mum and dad's friday (went to see my pregnant best friend) and then my mum and dad came up here for the weekend - only just managed to sit down and relax!
Everyone seems to be hiding away, don't they? Sausage and me are meeting up on thurs this week if you fancy it, Phoenix? Haven't seen you for ages! I haven't met trace but congratulations to her! That is a tiny tiny baby (I bet she's lovely )

Phoenix · 17/06/2007 22:03

oooooo Thursday is my day off so maybe. I'll check with dh in case he wants to do anything. Although the joiner is here next week doing the attic since he's been delayed by the roofers who still haven't bloody finished (They came out and fixed the leaks on Fri and said if the weather was ok they'd come sat and sun. Weather was fine and they never turned up) but fingers crossed they should come tomorrow and get cracked on with it. (sorry for going on about my roof but i feel like my life is revolving round it lol)

Gingermonkey · 17/06/2007 22:12

Your life is revolving around it because if it doesn't get done your house is knackered! Hope you can come thurs, if weather is nice we'll go outside but if it rains we'll do leap frogs (as usual!!!)
