We never had a new Feb Thread!

Anyways, anyone fancy a half-term trip to
Bocketts Farm

I don't mind driving - can get 3 passengers.

Foxie, there's a tea rooms you could occupy whilst ds and dd come around the animals/activities with the rest of us (or me if it's just us!).

sorry guys but I'm wimping out, have a great time and I want to know all about the pig race!

suejonez · 22/02/2007 09:46

sfx - just in case you pick this up - I can;t find your email with home address but think I have your mobile stored in mine so will try you on that

foxabout2pop · 22/02/2007 15:44

Everyone home now?

Paddle - thanks for the lift - the DCs had such a great day and have now settled down with cups of hot chociolate and strawberry nesquick respectively (no prizes for guessing who drinks the pink milk)

DS is studying the toy section of the Argos catalogue and DD is watching her fave Maisy video.

They're both content and quiet so a cuppa and MN for me

I hope Tabitha isn't too grumpy after being woken by all the singing in the car!!

A nice time had by all - and it would be great to do something similar at Easter when the weather will make it even more fun!

Hope evryone got back OK

ComeOVeneer · 22/02/2007 15:53

Lovely to see/meet you all again. DS refused to sleep in the car and was really grunpy. He then proceeded to walk slap bang into a telegraph pole on the way to dd's school. He fell asleep as we pulled up to the house and I ave managed to transfer him to his cot and dd is playing downstairs so peace (for a while at least).

Paddlechick666 · 22/02/2007 16:17

hi all

great day out.

dd didn't stop all day. she's fine now thanks Foxie. had some milk and a bicky and got Tweenies on now so MN for me!

think i may have a caffiene addiction - coffee was first thing i did thru the door!

i should think we'll all be in bed early tonight eh.

great to meet you CoV, and have a proper chat MrsR. so kind of your dd to take mine on the slide - they're lovely girls.

deffo think it should be on the agenda for another visit - especially in less wet weather.

Quokka, we wimped the pig racing as it was up a hill and p*ssing down. i do believe there were those more brave who checked it out tho. You were missed mate.

All the baby animals were soo cute. If I'm not too tired I'll stick a pic up in my profile later.

god it's nearly tea time!

hello everyone

we had a great time it is certainly a great place for a visit on a sunny day the outside playing area is huge.
we did make it to the pig racing which was quite amusing. dd has not stopped talking about it and seems particularly taken with the tractors
i am very tired now i think dinner will be a simple affair the old reliable pesto pasta peas i think

many thanks to SJ&ds for lettings us tag along
much appreciated

ComeOVeneer · 22/02/2007 16:52

Yes lovely to meet you too paddle. Another one here to thank MrsR's girls, for looking after ds on the slide. He keeps saying "I love (name of MrsR's younger daughter" . I have heard of a toy boy but think this is taking it a bit far .

Paddlechick666 · 22/02/2007 16:52

lol sfx, dd's having pesto pasta too, no peas tho

just more cheese - on top of the 2 baby belles she had a lunchtime!

OP posts:
foxabout2pop · 22/02/2007 17:26

Another thanks to MrsRecycles lovely daughters for looking aftre my DD and taking such care of her on that big slide!!!

foxabout2pop · 22/02/2007 17:31

Think for us it will be either baked potato/tuna and cheese, or maybe frozen pizza, gulped down with some minty sperm for me!

Paddlechick666 · 22/02/2007 17:33

minty sperm !

well, dd's tea didn't touch the sides. and she sat at the big table in a big chair for her pasta. back in the highchair for her yogurt - when done she quite precisely placed the dish on her head and sat there looking like she was wearing a little blue cap!

hairwash night tonight!

OP posts:
sfxmum · 22/02/2007 17:35

foxie what are you drinking

lol at little paddles hat

pudding77 · 22/02/2007 17:40

minty sperm?

We're back home now though ds only slept for 30mins in the car and then cried the rest of the way home! He's just had some banana & avocado for tea washed down with mango and then a biscuit.

Lovely to see you all again, MrsR thanks for the lift and to your dds for trying to entertain ds in the car.

Paddlechick666 · 22/02/2007 17:45

foxie, i've emailed you those pics but they're quite large so they might blow your hotmail account.

download 'em quick!

MissRecycle · 22/02/2007 17:49

MrsRecycle's dd1 here - thanks, you are all welcome and I loved taking your LOs on the slide. Now I've got to go and tend to my screaming brother!!

MissRecycle · 22/02/2007 17:50

MrsRecycle's dd2 here - I enjoyed being with them on the slide - especially foxie's dd!

Paddlechick666 · 22/02/2007 17:53

flippin hec! you two are very computer literate!

pretty, kind to small children and clever!

your mum must be very proud of you two.

OP posts:
MrsRecycle · 22/02/2007 17:55

I'm very proud of them although they do bug me when I want to get on to mumsnet and they are using the computer.

Nice to meet you all again and to have a good chat to you all. Thanks for the coffee, pudding, and for showing dds how to cast off.

Well my penance for having ds catch flies all afternoon is here - he's screaming the house down. Watch this space for how he sleeps tonight.

MrsRecycle · 22/02/2007 17:57

CoV - dd1 has a toy boy already so ds will have to join the queue. He's my godson and is 5 years younger than her. He worships the ground she walks on.

Paddlechick666 · 22/02/2007 18:05

well, a semi-cranky dd is into her bath asap and i reckon she'll be off by 7pm.

i need her to wake up earlier tomorrow anyway - got to go to west middx for 9am!

hope ds calms down soon MrsR, your daughters really are lovely.

OP posts:
pudding77 · 22/02/2007 18:24

ds has just gone for his bath now, am trying to keep him up as close to his bedtime as poss so it's not too an early morning tomorrow! Tbh, you wouldn't think he hasn't slept today though maybe that's just coz dh is home!

MrsR, I'm sure your ds will calm down and have a nice restful night.

sfxmum · 22/02/2007 18:27

dd has not slept more than half hr same as yesterday we are about to have dinner then bath, dh not home until quite late i think she usually holds out for him.

ComeOVeneer · 22/02/2007 18:31

Well after ds's huge lunch of strawberries and cucumber, he topped it off with a supper of a potato wedge (I lovingly made him homemade potato wedges, smoked haddock fish cakes and peas), why do I bother. He is seriously tired after all his running around and is bathed and having his milk ready for an early night. I'm exhausted too, but have dd's parents' evening at 7.20pm. I have to be up early tomorrow to get everything ready for my sister's visit this weekend . (P.S. It is my birthday tomorrow. Self indulgent plug for felicitations ).

suejonez · 22/02/2007 19:08

Happt brthday for tomorrow Cov. Lucky your rash cleared up for it. Your dinner puts me to shame - D had the rest of the jar of baby food with some broccoli - followed by Foxies orange and avocado desert.

He wouldn;t sleep this afternoon but not really surprising as he slept for about half an hour on the way home at 2ish. He has gone to sleep at 7pm and has taken to singing to himself for a few minuutes before going to sleep. Very sweet!

pudding77 · 22/02/2007 19:13

We get giggles before ds goes to sleep!

What's the orange & avocado dessert?
