We never had a new Feb Thread!

Anyways, anyone fancy a half-term trip to
Bocketts Farm

I don't mind driving - can get 3 passengers.

Foxie, there's a tea rooms you could occupy whilst ds and dd come around the animals/activities with the rest of us (or me if it's just us!).

plenty of room in my car for extra buggy.

will be at Foxie's @ 10ish - if you want to drop it off.

On dd1's suggestion have checked out the weather forecast tomorrow and it's light rain here

Shall we all meet at the entrance around 11ish?

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 19:00

We can also bring our MacClaren holiday buggy, which we probably won't use. Not suitable for under about 18 months though.

quokka · 21/02/2007 19:24

I might have to cancel. ds2 has had a really bad knock to the head thanks to a little someone pulling him down. Ended up smacking the back of his head on the tiles in the hallway. Didn't help by the fact that when he goes into shock he forgets to breath until he turns blue and goes limp! So will be checking him regulary tonight. Poor thing is cutting 6 teeth as well

suejonez · 21/02/2007 19:30

Paddle will text you if we need you to throw FOxies holiday buggy in the boot. I think SFX's dd is nearly two so shouldn't be a problem.

They said light rain today and I think it has been pretty nice all in all.

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 19:34

Sue it was gorgeous today. I think SFX's DD would be fine in our buggy. It hasn't got the shoulder straps, but it would be pretty hard to fall out of the other straps TBH unless it was a little baby.

Has no rain cover but I'm confident about the weather. The evening standard says no rain!!

Are people bringing packed lunches? We are - to keep costs down etc.

sfxmum · 21/02/2007 19:35

yep nearly 22m so def ok i have a maclaren volo too. and she will want to walk everywhere keeps talking about pigs and cows but i think she will be shocked by the actual size of the beasts
and thanks

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 19:36

Apparently they have pig races - sounds really funny!!

Anyone been there before? I want to know if you can use a card to pay the entry fee(visa)?

suejonez · 21/02/2007 19:41

Will bring lunch for D but mine will depend on how organised I am in the morning!

Paddlechick666 · 21/02/2007 19:53

god quokka, sounds scary! hope he's okay tonight and really hope you're still on for tomorrow.

sat here all arvo with you yesterday with your ds2's vest on the table to return!

i'm deffo packing a lunch for dd therefore just as easy to pack a lunch for me - mainly as i eat her crumbs and leftovers!

Oh quokka sorry to hear about ds2 - how awful - hope he is feeling better soon.

I did think about packed lunches but haven't had a chance to go shopping to get all the extras that dds like. I'll see if I can pop into Waitrose in the morning whilst I'm picking up ds' medicine.

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 20:44

Quokka - hope your DS2 has a good sleep and recovers quickly

ComeOVeneer · 21/02/2007 20:50

Sorry to hear about ds quokka. Yes I am bringing a spare pushchair for whoever needs it. I have just realised that I don't know what some of you look like. Not sure how easy it is going to be for me to conect with you all when we get there. Hadnn't thought about lunch tbh but I think a pack lunch is the way to go with ds.

DS nearly had a horrible accident today. After school we went to the park, Iwas chatting with a mum from school when ds decided to climb into the pushchair, standing up facing the back of the pushchair he lent against the back and tipped the whole thing backwards before I could grab him/it. Thankfully he rolled with it and cried out of shock rather than pain. WHen do they develop common sense?

foxabout2pop · 21/02/2007 20:58

Boys?

never!!

2Cute · 21/02/2007 22:41

lol foxi!

Poor DS2 Quokka Hope he recovers quick.

Have a fab time at the farm, really we won't be meeting y'all.

pudding77 · 22/02/2007 08:00

quokka, hope ds2 is ok...

2cute - we're really you won't be with us either.

I'm bringing a lunch for ds, hadn't thought about me!

mellow2 · 22/02/2007 08:18

Quokka,
That sounds nasty. I hope he's feeling better soon. Right got to get ready for work now.

Have a good day at the farm!

quokka · 22/02/2007 08:25

Ds2 is ok but I think I need convincing to drive 50 min to the farm. Ds1 is quite sure he doesn't want to see any animals and its raining.

sfxmum · 22/02/2007 08:34

thats good news quokka quite scary thing to happen, i guess you should do what you feel is best

foxabout2pop · 22/02/2007 08:47

Quokka - glad DS2 is OK

foxabout2pop · 22/02/2007 08:47

Quokka - have you heard from nanou recently?

quokka · 22/02/2007 08:48

foxabout2pop · 22/02/2007 08:51

I texted her last Friday and haven't heard anything. She may just be busy house hunting, but I hope she's OK..

Paddlechick666 · 22/02/2007 09:01
