We never had a new Feb Thread!

Anyways, anyone fancy a half-term trip to
Bocketts Farm

I don't mind driving - can get 3 passengers.

Foxie, there's a tea rooms you could occupy whilst ds and dd come around the animals/activities with the rest of us (or me if it's just us!).

I'll come with both lo's! Will have room in car to fit one adult and one lo, but only a booster seat if that helps.

suejonez · 14/02/2007 19:12

So defo Thursday next week but what time. SFX may be able to give you a lift but have a tiny car and not sure how we would accomodate two car seats - we could practice before hand?

sfxmum · 14/02/2007 19:23

hi Sue thats very kind i have a maxi cosi priori, snowmum gave me a lift the other day and she has a small car too and it fit 2 of those sure we kind find a minute to have a go, maybe saturday many thanks

pudding77 · 14/02/2007 19:23

Is 10.30 too early? Or do we want to get there around lo's lunchtime?

suejonez · 14/02/2007 19:35

Don;t ask me about times - D's naps are all over the place at the moment so its a bit hit and miss. After him getting one nap yesterday and conking out cold at 7pm he woke up at 8pm and wouldn;t go back to sleep until 10.30pm I think his body thought that 7pm was his afternoon nap!

Still my mum had him today so he whined and grizzled all over her instead of me

Paddlechick666 · 14/02/2007 20:20

Looks like we're going mob handed

should be brilliant, really looking forward to it.

Suggest we aim to arrive about 11ish - apparently it's about 45 mins drive, maybe less.

think we've prob got enough cars etc. am trying to avoid foxie having to drive tho - can't be having her waters breaking LOL!

Did you know theres a farm in hounslow? Or is this farm extra special? Just thought I would mention it as its quite close to us all. If you want to have look here otherwise just tell me to shut up

2Cute · 15/02/2007 09:55

Quokka - I take DS to the Hounslow farm fairly often. He loves it, especially riding around in the toy tractors.

quokka · 15/02/2007 10:04

i'm new to this thread is there a particular reason we're going to brockets?

2Cute · 15/02/2007 10:09

I dunno TBH. Maybe it's different to the Hounslow one? Paddle might know.

Paddlechick666 · 15/02/2007 11:56

erm, just popping in quickly - work is mental.

  1. never knew there was a farm in Hounslow but happy to go there if people would prefer
  2. Bocketts is supposed to be fab, big outdoor play and indoor play as well as all the cute animals - but i've never been so no personal experience.

I'm easy - and yes, it's been said before!

I saw that on a toilet in a public toilet in Richmond Paddle "Paddlechick is eazee" it said - I wondered if it were true and now I know

foxabout2pop · 15/02/2007 12:19

Sue

suggested leaving time sounds great to me (10-10.15ish)

I'd like to go to Bocketts just 'cos I've heard its brill. Paddle - I'll bring a plastic bin liner to sit on and some incontinence pants!! (I'm 70 so already wear these anyway remember)

Shall we do Hounslow another time??

There is also Bunny Farm in west Ealing (can't remember the proper name) which is nice in the summer.

Paddlechick666 · 15/02/2007 12:22

yes Sue, I wrote it myself you know!

Bockett's it is then.

Like the idea of a bunny farm, I like bunnies. Yum Yum!

Paddlechick666 · 15/02/2007 12:23

Foxie, s'okay i can lend you some incontinence pants if you like...

the old pelvic floor never quite recovers eh!

OP posts:
suejonez · 15/02/2007 16:13

Mine (pelvic floor) was just fine after having a child

Paddlechick666 · 15/02/2007 16:21

i was going to flippanty retort with a "you cheated" comment but actually I think a rather dodgy pelvic floor is no match for the amazing journey to motherhood you undertook!

anways, i'm sure i can get a chippie in to fix my floor sometime.........

Paddle - I know I'm 70 odd but its my waters I'm worried about - not my inability not to pee every 20 minutes

MrsRecycle · 16/02/2007 08:52

Sorry not ignoring you lot - have spent the last day dealing with various departments of the insurance company re our burglary.

Foxie - I'll bring those baby clothes along next week.

I might be bring my friends ds along (2 years old) but won't know until next Monday (she's away this weekend) so I'll confirm spaces in the car then. 11ish is fine with me - will aim to leave during ds' nap time (9am-11am).

MrsRecycle · 16/02/2007 08:53

And foxie - I thought I was up early this morning (5.40am!!).

foxabout2pop · 16/02/2007 12:45

MrsR - woke at 5.20am this morning

I'm an insomniac atm and can't get comfortable at night what with my spd, bladder and Monti's kicks!
