There is a watford meet-up tomorrow if anyone is around - see the watford meet-up for July thread. Would be great if you could come.

LD · 23/07/2004 08:49

Hi LD... I'm back off hols!! Am around all week, but I'll prob call you anyway.Loved the photo!
Schmauskin... can't wait till you're mobile again. Girl babies are a mystery species!! BTW, I saw your request for a powertrack. You're getting as bad as me for buggies!!!

LD · 24/07/2004 18:52

Hi Ixel
welcome back, we must have a catch up this week, how is everyone else placed? I am busy Monday and thursday but any other day I'm free. Lets make the most of this fab weather!

CNF · 26/07/2004 13:11

Hi! Just discovered mumsnet.
I live in the Alexandra Park area and have an
11 week old daughter, I would love to meet up with anyone in the area with babies of similar ages...

LD · 29/07/2004 18:54

Hi CNF, I am in Alexandra Park also until October, However if you would like to meet up that would be good, I have met a couple of other lovely mums in the area. My son is nearly 12mths but there are some younger babies close by. Is anyone one free one day next week for coffee?

Ixel · 30/07/2004 08:24

LD,Is there any point in saying I'm around for coffee?! Aren't I always?! Afternoons are better for me next week though.
CNF, my ds is 9 months,so again a bit older. But I haven't quite forgotten what its like to have a tiny one!

CNF · 30/07/2004 21:33

LD & Ixel, thanks for your messages....
I'm off to visit relatives Wednesday thru to Sunday, but am around Monday/Tuesday if you are free to meet....

By the way, any tips on how to survive a 3 hour car journey (unfortnately without air-con) in this heat?! Last time we did the trip we stopped about every 10 minutes to check that DD hadn't died - as I'm on my own this time I'd like to keep the stress to a minimum!!

Ixel · 31/07/2004 08:38

Shall we get together on Monday then? Afternoon?

LD · 01/08/2004 06:51

I am busy Monday but what about Tuesday afternoon.

littlema · 01/08/2004 14:11

Hi there, I'm new to mumsnet and I don't really know any other mums. I was wondering if me and my little 4 month old boy could meet up with you on tuesday?I am based nr. Golders green, but am happy to take public transport

CNF · 02/08/2004 09:07

Tuesday afternoon is good for me....

Where & when......?!

My usual haunt is the park & pavillion cafe on Albert Road, but am happy to meet anywhere (within reason)!

Ixel · 02/08/2004 10:01

Albert Road is fine with me! Someone pick a time!!

littlema · 02/08/2004 13:44

Hi CNF, would like to meet up, do you know if the 102 bus goes down albert road?

Ixel · 02/08/2004 13:59

Hi Littlema. I did leave you a 'hello' earlier, but the pc decided to pack up before it posted, and I was too lazy to type again! Yep, the 102 goes right past. It'd be great to meet you! As no one else is picking a time, how does 2pm sound?

littlema · 02/08/2004 14:18

Hooray I've made contact! Thanks Ixel. 2pm sounds great. I hope I'll find the place ok, is it just on the albert road? Cheers

Ixel · 02/08/2004 14:26

Yes. More or less where Albert Road curves off. Next to the garden centre. If you're coming from Muswell Hill direction towrds Bounds Green tube, the park is on the left side of the road. Shall we meet by the cafe bit? My ds is coming up for 9 months; he'll be the hot and bothered one, dribbling all over his urban detour, just so you recognise us! I'll be the one who cant walk properly due to going to the gym 3 days in a row! Have alot of baby fat still to lose . Apparently if you get to a year, you can't call it baby fat anymore!

littlema · 02/08/2004 18:59

Gym?!V. brave. Thanks for directions.
Looking forward to meeting you at the cafe bit at 2

CNF · 02/08/2004 20:46

Great - see you all at 2pm at the cafe - I'll be the one with the black M&P pram and an equally fractious 3 month old.....

LD · 02/08/2004 22:38

Hi all
I will be there at 2pm -yeh only 2 min from home. I will be the dark haired one with the very smiley, nearly 1 year old in the black mountain buggy.

LD · 12/08/2004 07:13

Hi, where is everyone, holidaying? just thought I would ask if anyone was around next week for a meet up, it was really nice to meet you CNF and Littlema last week. Would anyone be interested in a day trip somewhere?
LDxx

Ixel · 12/08/2004 09:02

Hello you! Of course I'll be around! Just been really busy this week, for a change. What kind of day trip were you thinking of? Sounds exciting. Hope the rest of your party went well on Sat.

Ixel · 12/08/2004 18:11

Science Museum? Its free, and lots of flashy lights to tire out babies! Plus the park is nearby, for a picnic/run around.

LD · 15/08/2004 06:53

Science museum sounds good, shall we decide on a day and see who else is keen. Took DS to the zoo yesterday, he loved the monkeys!

Ixel · 15/08/2004 09:37

God, you're up early! i cant do Thurs or Fri (carpet fitting and then property valuation!). Could do with taking ds to the clinic on Tuesday, but could be out by 9.45am. Or Wed is looking free at the moment. What's best for everyone else? but be warned, I want to go by bus.... the tube is really hard with a baby. Scared of falling down an escalator, or getting trapped in a hot tunnel! We can get a 134 then a 27. Takes longer, but at least you can get off if needed!
