I would love to meet up. I am in Crouch End too. I have been really busy recently with my older daughter's summer fair(which is this Saturday if anyone is interested in coming, live bands, great food, auction all for a very sweet school called Campsbourne it is on Nightingale Lane near Priory Park Saturday 1-5) I have a six year old and a three year old. My most free days are Tuesday and Thursday, though my schedule should totally free in a few weeks. I am all up for a meet in Priory Park some morning. Anyone intrested in meeting this Thursday?!

Ixel · 26/06/2004 20:25

Hi Ragtaggle! Yes, please come! It does indeed seem to be Nero in Highgate. I know you nearly came to one before, but I can't remember about your offspring (sorry, useless). I'm sure you'll work out who we are, the clues being that thre'll be babies, one of us is very pregnant, and one is a man!!

Schmauskin · 26/06/2004 20:27

Hi Ixel & L.D, Cafe Nero is on Highgate High Street (which becomes Highgate Hill) right in the middle of Highgate Village. Now, there are 2 Coffee shops, Costa (which is further up the hill) is rank, Nero, much better, but I have been known to get the names mixed up!! So if you are cool with meeting at 3pm in Highgate tomorrow, I will keep my mobile on : 07973 968 819 to ensure we all get to the same place.
Ixel, let's have a chat about your equipment then, eh?
If the plan doesn't suit, I will be at the NCT sale anyway...

Ixel · 26/06/2004 20:27

Hi Aug24. I cant do Thurs as I have a friend staying. But would love to come to your fair as me and ds are on our own this weekend! Are you doing a stall or anything?

Ixel · 26/06/2004 20:32

i know where the Costa is, so I can work from that. Its a straight road, so not even I can get lost, surely??!! The only other places I know are the bookshop, the Weatherspoons (good for popping in for toilet when pregnant) and a little pub with a real fire and carbolic soap and izal loo roll!

Ixel · 26/06/2004 20:51

Oh dear... we will have to rename ourselves. Not only are we meeting in Highgate, but I'm also getting a lift!! No public transport or feet for me tomorrow . fiona may come too LD; she's ringing me tonight.

Schmauskin · 26/06/2004 22:32

Ha ha ha!! Look forward to seeing you in the afternoon,

Kate xx

august24 · 27/06/2004 01:01

Yes, Ixel, I am helping out at the cake/tea/coffee stall amoung other things. Come along if you are free. I have never been to a summer fair(we don't have them in the USA) so it is a new experience for me!

Couchpotato · 27/06/2004 01:27

Hi
I've just registered and have a 2 month old - I live in North Finchley and read about the NCT Nearly New Sale in Muswell Hill next week - are any of you going?

I would love to meet some other mums! I only know one other person with a child!

ragtaggle · 27/06/2004 09:49

I would love to come. I have one vague arrangement with a friend who is back from New York for a few days so if she calls and says she's around this afternoon I won't be able to. But failing that I'd really love to. My dd is eight months old. And please come Ruby Tuesday - my dd is called Ruby and that's what we call her all the time. I really want to meet her namesake - even if Ruby is just your mumsnet name.

Ixel · 27/06/2004 12:02

Come along today Couchpotato, if you see this in time! Me and LD are going to the sale next week and then for coffee, so come too! Its usually a bit mad, running round before all the bargains go, but after that we'll be very laid back!

ragtaggle · 27/06/2004 12:39

Drat! Friend who 'schedules me in' on her brief trips home has done so for this afternoon. Can I come to the NCT sale next week instead as it doesn't look like I can make this now?

bundle · 27/06/2004 13:17

couchpotato, where is the nearly new thing? I'd be interested if it's on the right day. ta

Couchpotato · 27/06/2004 18:24

Thanks for replying everyone!

I couldn?t come to the meet up today as I have a GP appointment ? but would love to meet up with anyone before the sale? Apparently its Tues 29th June @ 2.30-4pm at the CUFOS Centre, Dukes Ave, Muswell Hill, next to the Play Park

Don?t know where to suggest though ? not really knowing the area well?

Ixel · 28/06/2004 11:19

I think we're going to meet up after,as we'll be too eager to get shopping beforehand. some of us are going together, some we'll trip over when we get there. How about Crocodile cafe for afterwards? Although it'll probably be full of everyone else from the sale!!!

august24 · 29/06/2004 18:19

Posted this on the other thread:
I am planning on going to Priory Park next week, does anyone want to join me? If they weather get's yucky then I can invite you all to my house for tea! Let's say Thursday (so I don't double book with the NCT sale/crocidile cafe)at 10 in the park by the sandpit(the playground behind the tennis courts) Any takers?

LD · 29/06/2004 23:12

Would love to meet at the Park but will have to come next time as Im busy Thursday next week. Hope to see some of you on tuesday though at the CUFOS NCT sale

Hi Aug24... Thurs is prob ok for me. We dont come that way very often, so I may get a bit lost though!! I'll post a definite yes on here by Wed just to confirm. Are you walking over with us, signman??

Ixel · 01/07/2004 12:14

and, are you coming to the sale signman? Or shall we see you after?

august24 · 02/07/2004 15:57

Priory Park is so easy to get to from Muswell Hill, You head down Muswell Hill which turns into Priory Road and the park is on the right after the fire station. It's about a 15 minute walk from Muswell Hill. I am not sure of the bus though.

Ixel · 02/07/2004 18:53

Thats ok. We dont do buses unless its over an hours walk!!! I know where the park is,I'm just assuming its not massive and i'll see you no probs!

august24 · 02/07/2004 22:53

There is just one play area with slides, it is just beyond the tennis courts and bowling green on the right. I am giving the nct sale a miss as I have no plans on another baby(!) and I can't take the crowds. I am sending my very pregnant nanny though. School run is at 3:30, so can't make the after party either. I am going to call Gella and see if she can come Thursday and I will look for yours and signmans reply to see if you guys can make it. By the way have you been to the Harringey Y, your little one may be a little young just yet but they have loads of great drop in classes. I have just discovered them and my younger one has been going to Ballet, Gymnastics and another playgroup there. They do baby massage and other classes too.

oscarsmum · 02/07/2004 23:09

Would like to meet up on Thursday, if that's okay, but not sure about the 10am start as I have problems leaving the house by 11! However will try my best. I'll just have my 3 month old with me, as my 3 year old is at nursery on Thursdays.

suzywong · 03/07/2004 15:40

Can I make a quick diverson to the subject of the NCT sale in Muswell Hill tomorrow.

Basically I called the local contact and booked a table about a months ago and she said she would get back to me about the fine details. I guess she must be snowed under and maybe I am being a worrier but I don't know how early to turn up, or if there are rules about what I can sell, or how much space there will be.

Has anyone ever been a vendor at one of these sales and could give me a few tips?

TIA
