As promised ere is the thread for the August meet up.

I have provisionally booked a party at Bumpis on Thursday 5th August at 11.15am.

This will be a joint party for my DD who will be 2 on August 1st and Ronniebaby's DS who will be 4 on 6th August.

We need at least 8 people and as I will need to pay a deposit soon I will also need to know definite numbers as soon as possible.

Hope to see you then.

Jan

either sounds good but it does seem worth the extra 70p for 1/2 an hours more activities

clary · 15/06/2004 04:05

I'm in Derby, not sure why I have never joined you all on your meet-ups...are you all now best pals and have no need of a newbie?? Trouble is I come with 3 small people so I think this might work out a bit expensive for me (will have to pay even for the baby at Bumpis). But hello from deepest Derby to you all. Maybe next time, somewhere a bit cheaper (not moaning at you all for picking Bumpis which is fab, but 3x£7.95 is scary!).

discordia · 15/06/2004 16:40

Hello Clary. Whereabouts in Derby are you? You must live fairly near me. I was a newbie at the last meetup and it was not too scary. How old are your kids?

clary · 16/06/2004 02:43

Discordia, yes, you posted about waterworld saying that you were near Toyota (Etwall??) I'm in Derby itself, with DS1 (5 next week) DD (3 next wk) DS2 (14mo). Have been posting for a while but never quite got round to doing meet-up.

Hulababy · 16/06/2004 11:32

Don't mine which party option - either is fine for me. Not bad either as once I have normally paid for entry and fodd for DD it is pretty much same anyway.

Hi Clary. It'll be great for you to join us on a meet, There are always new people coming each time - there is gernerally a new face each time. I can imagine this one may be a bit expensive with 3 children though so can understand you waiting till next one. We do try and meet every couple of months or so though so hopefully not long till the next one!

discordia · 16/06/2004 12:39

Clary, yes, I'm in Etwall. My in-laws live in Derby (Sunnyhill) and I have an auntie-in-law in Alvaston.

Hulababy · 16/06/2004 12:39

MadameButterfly · 16/06/2004 22:03

I'm a newbie in Derby (Chaddesden) with three little ones too.

I'd love to come along, and with any luck, might be able to leave the baby with daddy, so just two.

Nearly four year old ds, and nearly two year old dd.

Ronniebaby · 17/06/2004 00:37

Babysteffee - you're very welcome to come along, in fact any new mum is always mad to feel welcome, we try to chat, but having kids running around can make it a bit difficult.

Ladies dont believe the banter between those of us who know each other, we are really nice, and get on very well.

Also dont be scared to come along, you'll soon fit in

Ronniebaby · 19/06/2004 00:56
