I'm moving to St. Leonards in Exeter, and have a 13 month old baby.
Would love to hear from anyone in the area to find out about baby groups or meeting up for a coffee...

all the best,

x

All kind of bugs round here as well. was it a vomit bug or a snot bug? or both?
fennel you are an inspiration. perhaps we should consider skating with the fake moustache. and a mackintosh clouseau-style.

Greensleeves · 02/02/2007 11:50

Mainly a snot/ear/throat thing, but my ds1 ended up vomiting because of the coughing, poor little sprat

franca70 · 02/02/2007 11:54

poor little thing. I hate it when they are unwell.

fennel · 02/02/2007 11:56

Today would be a good day to go out like that Franca, it seems, as most people are holed up at home with bugs. Fewer people to see me!

or i could just stay home and watch dd3 periodically wee all over the floor. Toddlers are such fun....

franca70 · 02/02/2007 12:07

It's lovely when they do that, isn't it.
yes, today would be perfect, it's so mild. but i have a terrible backache... I should really start to do something like yoga or whatever, I've been suffering on and off since dd was 6months old.

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 02/02/2007 14:48

all ready with yer hat and 'tache franca? tis nearly time ya know.
today i shall mostly be wearing a turquoise coat

franca70 · 02/02/2007 15:06

I'll probably be sporting a red nose as well, I'm coming down with a cold...
will look out for your turquoise coat

franca70 · 02/02/2007 15:57

missed you again...
I think I leave the house too early (apprehensive italian mum emoticon)

By the way is anyone else involved in sailing or windsurfing? It's one of the reasons we moved down here but we haven't really been out very much, we were too busy moving last summer. but we are gearing up now to go out a lot this year and I just wondered if anyone else knows much about it? like, best places to go, joining yacht clubs etc.

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 04/02/2007 10:29

no, but i have friends who are- could ask them for you if you like?

franca70 · 04/02/2007 11:11

topsham seems to have quite an active sailing scene... but we've no experience of sailing here.

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 04/02/2007 13:35

anyone going to toddler group tomorrow (methodist church cowick street)?

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 04/02/2007 13:35

anyone going to toddler group tomorrow (methodist church cowick street)?

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 04/02/2007 13:37

sorry didnt mean to do that twice!

fennel- i believe theres quite a good sailing club at starcross which isnt very far away.

fennel · 04/02/2007 20:26

thanks, Ivelostmyboobs, we have been looking into the Starcross yacht club. you have to be Proposed and Seconded and Approved by the panel so we have to find people who are members.

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 05/02/2007 19:04

maybe you could hang around outside the gates and bribe members as they come out....

Coco4 · 05/02/2007 20:49

Hi. is the toddler group in cowick st a nice group and what other days is it held?

OP posts:
ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 05/02/2007 22:02

i think it may also be on tuesdays and fridays. greensleeves might know...
i really like it actually, certainly the monday gp is good, some v friendly mums and not cliquey, unlike a lot of them!

Coco4 · 05/02/2007 22:08

Is that in the city centere?

OP posts:
ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 06/02/2007 08:17

not far off really, its in st thomas which is over the river at the bottom of fore street (town centre)

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 06/02/2007 08:33

essbee- am i right in thinking you have a ds with AS? (saw Greensleeves at toddler gp yesterday!). if so, you dont go to SOCOPS with him do you? its on a friday night in Beacon Heath for kids with AS and their parents and siblings too if you like. my ds1 loves it (he is 8)

fennel · 06/02/2007 09:32

ooh, I have met someone who lives around the St Thomas area who has an 8yo ds with AS, also a 4 and 2 year old dd. But it can't be you Ivelostmyboobsboohoo, the dd's name is not a country.

Maybe there are just a lot of people around with 8yo ds's with AS.

The Cowick St toddler group I think meets on a Mon, Tues and Fri. you have to phone and go on a waiting list though. I went for a bit last summer.

franca70 · 06/02/2007 09:55

have you got a blue car, Ivelostmyboobs?????
