I'm moving to St. Leonards in Exeter, and have a 13 month old baby.
Would love to hear from anyone in the area to find out about baby groups or meeting up for a coffee...

Hi, sorry if I'm butting into anyones conversation but I've just stumbled accross this site and thought I'd say hi. Mum of 2 daughters in redhills - one goes to redhills school (she's nearly 6) and one goes to park playgroup (she's 3). Whats the site all about? Bit bored and don't really know anyone around here apart from my sister (whos in cully) so a pretty lonely existence really! (sad)

I've persuaded my dp that mumsnet is a necessary way of meeting people in Exeter, he's been quite impressed with it. i think he would like a dadsnet.

babesmum- what days does your dd go to park? ds is there mon am , tues all day and thurs all day and will start at redhills in sept. my ds1 was at redhills but has moved to different school in january

BTW Exeter is great, we are hoping to move back one day...when we can afford to buy something more than a garage there (its why we left, to get on property ladder in plym).

I'm the one who comes in looking flustered all the time, hair in a mess and barely able to string a sentence together at that time in the morning! Might be being a bid thick but wahat do dd, dh etc mean. Figured it must be daughter but why dd?

god, that could be me!!!!!! i am tall with blonde short messy hair and a little boy who loves (and i mean properly loves!) trains esp thomas, and usually has his teddy with him (not supposed to give too much personal nfo out!), have dd with me too, normally blocking the cloakroom with her buggy

took me ages to work out as well- the first d is dear/darling then son, daughter, husband, partner, friend- theres an acronym list at top of page so you can decifer what people are talking about.

I went into work yesterday, that might be it for this week (don't want to overdo things....). I may go in on Friday too. shall I stop by for a coffee if so? Or we may go to the zoo instead.

lol at the idea that one of us could be distinguished by messy hair and a flustered look - that's narrowing it down then.....

lush day, just got back from visiting friend in countryside- always makes me wildly jealous- they have wild DEER in their garden FGS!

now thinking about going to the park- dont want to miss out on the sunshine.

we have wild pheasants in our garden, I think that's pretty impressive (but I have lived for many years in big cities so we are still easily impressed us here in Devon)

at deers, park, pheasants, cornwall and generally escaping from the house (dd still not very well).

my dd still not 'right'. she has fallen asleep on sofa and slept through tea so doubt she'll be going to bed at 7 tonight which is rather annoying to say the least.

i am going to my brother's brother's wedding this weekend. that sounds a bit odd doesnt it??!
basically we were both adopted at birth and 'found' each other again after 30 years or so, and his brother (from his adoptive family) is getting married. thought i needed to explain that one!
