I'm moving to St. Leonards in Exeter, and have a 13 month old baby.
Would love to hear from anyone in the area to find out about baby groups or meeting up for a coffee...

all the best,

x

franca70, my dds all had that over the last few days. it's tiring isn't it? hope she feels better soon.

franca70 · 14/02/2007 09:54

thanks fennel. she's in a good mood. has been producing snot for two weeks now.
I'll try to be at the corner with haldon rd at 3.20, I'll have my beige coat, hood up. helmet sounds quite trendy...

fennel · 14/02/2007 11:15

Helmet is definitely not trendy. it's falling apart I need a new one.

Am having doubts about meeting, having arrived at work with toddler pooh on my knee. That's a new sartorial low even by my standards.

still, why be vain? I will try and be there at 3.20. bike with blue toddler seat on back, minus toddler. purple fleece and jeans.

(why can't I manage to be a cool trendy cyclist? instead of just a mess? but that's another thread maybe)

franca70 · 14/02/2007 12:30

I wouldn't worry about a bit of toddler poo... I'm still in my pj by the way. I can't beleive it's such a beautiful day and I'm trapped inside. Still, I manage to do some hoovering
I forgot to say that I'll be + toddler.

fennel · 14/02/2007 12:51

It is a lovely day

am getting blasted by sun, it's a good feeling.

chalkster · 14/02/2007 19:34

Hi everyone I have been meaning to join this site for ages but just not got around to it! Anyway, please can I come along to your meet up on Saturday night? I know Leleyworm, Tanzer and Baysmum already and looking forward to meeting the rest of you! Moved to Exeter in October last year and now trying to buy a house as renting at mo though this is not proving an easy task!

franca70 · 14/02/2007 19:52

of course chalkster.
fennel and boobs: it was good to see you today. perhaps we should really consider to open a coffee place on that corner...

fennel · 15/02/2007 11:58

Franca and boobs, nice to meet you both too.

Am enjoying my new habit of hanging around on street corners eyeing up strangers. It makes hanging out on the internet look relatively benign.

Grin
franca70 · 15/02/2007 13:24

do you need my moustache?

fennel · 15/02/2007 17:56

it's OK. thanks for the offer. I can skulk under a hat instead.

franca70 · 15/02/2007 20:34

boobs, would it be more convenient for you too meet at fore street/south street, say in front of athena?

lesleyworm · 15/02/2007 22:31

Sorry, haven't been on here for ages so thought I had better confirm that I am still on for Sat and looking forward to it. There will be one extra to add to the list, Caryn who came along with me to the Christmas meet-up but who doesn't use this site (she already knows Chalkster, baysmum and tanzer).

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 16/02/2007 09:01

hey franca, yeah thats cool. i'll meet you there at 7.15. hope i will be ok to come...dd has come down with raging temp again- she only had a fluey thing about 3 weeks ago and that lasted ages. hope i dont get it- how typical would that be....?

franca70 · 16/02/2007 09:32

Poor little one, I hope she's not feeling too miserable... dd has a temperature but is quite in a good mood (finger crossed emoticon, I hate it when children are unwell).
Yes, I'll meet you there. In the meantime think: immune system - immune system, like a mantra.

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 16/02/2007 09:48

ok, will be sending out healthy get better vibes to her and to myself...

she is totally miserable today. just sort of lolling on the sofa, very red in the face. she ended up in our bed last night and must have had temp of about 104 and she kept doing this horrible jerking thing. always get really paranoid shes going to have a febrible fit. its so sad for her because she had flu for about 2 weeks only a few weeks ago and really suffered then. i know whole offices are going down with it though and schools. in ds1 s class i think theres only about 4 kids left in the class!

fennel · 16/02/2007 09:52

Boobs, sorry to hear about dd. My dd2 is off school again today with temperature and earache.

hi lesleyworm nice to "see" you again

franca70 · 16/02/2007 09:55

. have you got a simpathetic gp?

fennel · 16/02/2007 10:27

I assume that's for boobs.

Franca we can look forward to a heated discussion on childcare and feminism and poverty

ivelostmyboobsboohoo · 16/02/2007 10:30

childcare, feminism and poverty??!!!!! where on earth did that come from?

fennel · 16/02/2007 10:35

it's another thread Franca and I are both wasting time on this morning when I should be working....

franca70 · 16/02/2007 10:35

I'd love to fennel, as much as my fluency in English allows me...
Boobs, there's a theread in In the news I think.
