Paddle - if you give her some cranberry to drink it'll take the sting out of her wee when it hits her skin.

Well it works for me anyway

Must go to bed now, back to work tomorrow and up at 6am

Paddlechick666 · 07/01/2007 22:21

another good tip foxie, will get some tomorrow.

also back at work tomorrow so really should go to bed - maybe read some more of State of The Union.

Hope your return to work goes okay.

n'night

foxabout2pop · 07/01/2007 22:22

Night (hiccup)

MrsBigD · 07/01/2007 22:33

PC let me know if your dd gets worse. I can have a look if I still have a tube of desitin around. DD used to get really bad nappy rash and reacts chronically to seudocream and my friend recommended desitin as her sister who lived in the US sent it to her. Funnily enough though it's a German product!

Otherwise, Aloe vera gel with a tiny dab of tee tree oil also helps though it might sting a little when applied

Hope she's better soon

trying2bgood · 08/01/2007 14:43

quokka - we should be able to make it, will probably bring both of mine along and my dh!
Can you email me your ds2's name so that I don't embarrass myself by putting the wrong name in the card!

fox-my dd1 is 3, going to be 4 next month, she has been going to tennis for 2 terms now.

foxabout2pop · 08/01/2007 16:05

T2BG - my DD is 3, but I can't imagine her being co-ordinated enough for tennis. DS is 6 and has being doing tennis for 1 year now.

Does your DD do ballet?

mellownomore · 08/01/2007 17:25

Hi quokka,

Dd and I can make it too. Just checked with sil and dh's nephew's birthday is coming weekend, not next. Thanks for inviting us. It'll be the 1st birthday party that dd is attending.

quokka · 09/01/2007 09:04

ok so far we have

Foxy's dd and ds
t2bgood 2 x dd
nanou dd
mrsbigd dd and ds
pc dd
mellow dd

Forgive me if I've left anyone out!

foxabout2pop · 09/01/2007 09:15

Quokka - any ideas for pressies?

What does your LO like?

pudding77 · 09/01/2007 09:29

Is it too late for me & ds to come as well? I'm sure dh would like a couple of hours to himself!

Sorry I've not been around much - we've been diy-ing this weekend which meant we've not had the pc or the internet up! 3 whole day without MN, I'm surprised dh survived

Is anyone meeting up this week? I'm free today & Thursday atm...

Nanou1 · 09/01/2007 09:39

hi all. just thinking... quokka re pressie maybe we can all team up to get something if you have an idea of a more expensive item? just a thought. have a good day all!

mellownomore · 09/01/2007 09:50

I'm happy to chip in on a bigger pressie. Othewise, any ideas for pressies would be great. Racking my brains here.

quokka · 09/01/2007 10:00

trying2bgood · 09/01/2007 20:08

quokka - I gave one little boy aged 1 his first thomas the tank engine, he was very chuffed but beware as this will start an obsession!

Fox - the teacher is very patient & dedicated to the sport. To be honest it is more about them learning to listen to instructions and concentrating. They do get to practise hitting the ball, back and fore hand but they are certainly no where near a game of tennis. It is also lovely in the summer watching and chit chatting with the other mums! There are not many of us so each child gets quite a bit of attention.

quokka · 09/01/2007 20:10

t2bgood ds1 got a thomas for chrissy and ds1 likes it better than him!

quokka · 09/01/2007 20:10

meant ds2 likes it better than ds1!

MrsBigD · 10/01/2007 07:38

still beware of the Thomas obsession ds at the tender age of 2.3 is a fanatic and won't leave the house without something 'Thomas'... the tears we've had because his Thomas slippers had to dry out and he couldn't put them on for a day...
