Glad you've tracked it down Uwila. It's always the favourite toys that go AWOL isn't it? The number of hours I spend with my head under the sofa or car seats finding things!

Paddlechick666 · 24/01/2007 08:19

i am rather lovely aren't i !

for all those not working today i suggest you get yourselves to Kew - it will be beautiful!

SNOW DAY SNOW DAY SNOW DAY!

unfortunately the advent of VPN and working from home means SNOW DAY has no relevence for me anymore

foxabout2pop · 24/01/2007 08:51

VPN??

Paddlechick666 · 24/01/2007 08:57

Virtual Private Network - secure way to log onto your work network from a remote place.

I rather wish I were somewhere more remote than West London today, like Barbados maybe!

foxabout2pop · 24/01/2007 08:59

Oh I used to have that in my old job - I could dial into my work files from home. Current job don't allow it but have provided a Blackberry instead - which has limited usefulness

uwila · 24/01/2007 11:26

So, are we on for A Cena on the 10th or 17th?

She who is in shall marketh her name:

10 FEB
Uwila (prefer this day but can do either)

17 FEB

am going to move this over to appropriate thread now.... B4 MrsD tells me off...

MrsBigD · 24/01/2007 12:10

Haven't got the energy to do any more telling off... that organising the move is doing my head in!

quick question... has anybody got time on Saturday afternoon to look after my lo's for a couple of hours? We need to get the landlords stuff out of our storage unit and having the kids with us would be mayhem! I'll even pay you

MrsD - what time? DS has a hair appointment at 2pm

Does that mean we can be naughty on here and you won't be able to tell us off?

sfxmum · 24/01/2007 13:20

mrsB if dh working on sat am happy to keep them here for a couple of hrs, will ask him

MrsBigD · 24/01/2007 13:44

Foxie, I guess yes you can be naughty as I won't be in any position to tell anybody off

Have paddle here at 1100 for photo session and would go after that so might clash with your hair appointment

Thanks sfx

How lovely did it look this morning?!

Foxi - I was thinking the exact same thing about SJ having flew over the weather with them!

DS had a great first day at play group. He was quite the centre of attention being the little poser that he his and boy was he loving it!

BigD - DH has a match on Saturday so I'll be happy to have your little ones at home. I would have picked them up to save you the journey but DH will have the car. Just cat me to let me know. BTW, I only take payment in the form of chocolate

Wave to everyone!

2Cute · 24/01/2007 15:58

Yep, I can't spell...Maybe I should start going to nursery?

Hey XOXO - How was your trip?

MrsBigD · 24/01/2007 16:08

2cute thanks! and payment in form of chocolate can be arranged

OP posts:
foxabout2pop · 24/01/2007 16:59

2cute - is your DH playing or watching and which sport?

O2BMe · 24/01/2007 18:07

2Cute - glad to head DS enjoyed nursery. Sometimes I think it's harder for the grown ups than it is for the LO's.

The O2BMe family is heading off on holiday to the French Alps in 2 sleeps time . I was going to book DS in at daycare there for a few mornings so I could go snowboarding with DH but I've got cold feet and scrapped the idea. DH and I will just have to take turns looking after DS .

BTW - welcome home Sue and Daniel. I'm a newbie on MN and have been following your amazing story. A HUGE congrats on bringing Daniel home. LO's have an incrediable affect on our lives and we wouldn't change it for the world

xoxo · 24/01/2007 18:48

2cute: trip was greta, thanks. DS wants to LIVE in a hotel. he says teh cooking is better

still on tenterhooks re: job/ move/ life, but ho hum.

2Cute · 24/01/2007 23:18

XOXO - at your DS's remark! The little monkeys sure know how to compliment us don't they?!

O2BME - I think you're right, in some ways it is hard for the grown ups. If you're comfortable once you see the day care, you could try leaving him during his nap time, that way you don't have to worry about him missing you. I guess that depends on how long he naps for. Have a great holiday

Foxi - He plays hockey.

sfxmum · 26/01/2007 11:28

ok am off to the Gardens in a minute really need fresh air and a long walk no matter how cold

2Cute · 26/01/2007 16:17

sfxmum - you're much braver than me then. I'm cuddled up with a blanket on the sofa! Both DS and I are under the weather yet AGAIN. Both of us were always so resilient against colds/flu but I've been proved wrong this winter seeing as this is the 3rd time we're sick!

Paddlechick666 · 30/01/2007 08:12

anyone around today?

supposed to be going to kew with friend butforgot to text her yesterday!

dd slept 12 hours so no morning nap for her!

pudding77 · 13/02/2007 09:21

I'm going to go to Kew later if anyone would like to meet up

mellow2 · 01/03/2007 08:38

Are people off to CPC today? What time are you meeting up? I might be able to join you on account of the fine weather.

mellow2 · 01/03/2007 08:39

and the fact that I'm supposed to be working from home.
