harktheheraldfoxessing · 06/12/2006 18:53

Wow Oxo that list is really useful

I'm feeling a lot better now - excatly 48 hours after I started the anti biotics for my chest. Back to work tomorrow.

Quokka - do you have the details of that sleep remedy - I want to pass it onto someone on my antenatal thread if that's OK, as she's having real probs with her LOs, who keep awakening through the night.

CU Later

MrsBojangles · 07/12/2006 08:34

oxo nothing wrong with crunchy nut as long as they get some food into them! Mine are Chocopops addicts.

Poor Uwila, I know that situation only to well ... she must be really ill if you're taking over

sfxmum · 07/12/2006 08:38

Paddlechick666 · 07/12/2006 08:53

as for me, i think i have gone a bit hysterical and hyper!

left house by 7:30am, pretended to be normal member of human race. LARGE coffee on train to waterloo.

buzzin buzzin buzzin!

will no doubt crash and burn in about 15 mins!

MrsBojangles · 07/12/2006 09:55

maybe I should start on the coffee? defo not buzzing. Was out cold last night and didn't hear ds dh got him 4 times, but I got made to get up by ds just before 0600 because he wanted to watch 'tschutschu' (translates: Thomas)

Also want to crash and burn Might be the meds bringing me back down to equilibrium

Paddle, I though of calling you but then read your schedule for the day. Perhaps nanny could be thoughtful enough to get sick on a friday next time?

MrsBigD, she look like she's been hit by a Mack truck so I'm not annoyed with her -- nothing like your experience which would surely have driven me to things I wouldn't like to be responsible for.

Funny Oxo, we are on the second showing of Chicken Little today. It is the living room, I am cleaning the kitchen and ignoring the small girl who is yelling "Mummy! Muuuuuuummmmmmmyyyyy! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmuuuuuuuuuu..." You get the idea.

I imagine she wants a snack because she ony wanted a very small breakfast (cheese on tast and 1/2 an apple). She had a fit when I told she could not have Doritos for breakfast. Yeah? like that would ever happen on my sift. I am the nutrition gestapo. Mummy ist Das Fuhrer! JA!!

I'm a little stressed today, can you tell? Trying to look after kids, work, keep up with mumsnet... looking forward to my mulled wine tonight.

hoxohoxohoxo · 07/12/2006 12:02

uwila: I am laughing hysterically (almost Jack Nicholson like) : you are experiencing a normal day for me. Except make that two screaming kids in the background (and, errr me on mumsnet rather than tidying kitchen !).

Don't know if today would be a good day to get your advice on nannies. After today you will think them to be God's gift and willing to pay anything

Am refreshed and happy if a little tired today. Recommend sleeping at 7pm for everyone. It would help me with my diet (now lapsed for 3 weeks, and killed by wine, crisps and chocolate while watching 24 at night time ) and crows feet (now so enlarged I think I'm past botox- which incidentially my friend is getting for her christmas present from her husband - I'd be badly insulted but she appears happy enough).

sfx: what are you studying?

uwila · 07/12/2006 12:13

Today is a fine day for nanny advice. I'm not annoyed at all. She actually hasn't been very well all week, but did work Tues and Wed. She mad an effort but really just couldn't cope today. She doesn't take a lot of sick days. If she did, I'd have to replace her.

There is more to today's stress level, but I must refrain from typing about it.

harktheheraldfoxessing · 07/12/2006 12:33

Paddle - like your whizz through catch up - very speedy LOL

I'm around all weekend except Sunday morning, if you fancy popping over with DD for a cuppa

Hi everyone else - catching up at work

trying2bgood · 07/12/2006 14:24

Hello everyone, tah for all the advice, I have got careers book called what is the colour of your parachute which once I have gone through should give me a better idea of what I want to do. I have thought about childminding but I know that I enjoy being a SAHM because I love my children not because I love being around children & playgroups, so think it needs to be something else. Would also like to do something more practical rather than sitting at a desk!

Mellow - also am beginning to panic I still cannot quite believe it is December, have brought precisely no presents and have written no cards. I really need to get my finger out!

harktheheraldfoxessing · 07/12/2006 16:30

Hey guess what!

We deliver English Language classes to local residents and as part of their course we sent them to Harrods in a mini bus to practise shopping in an English shop.

They got caught in the tornado at Kensal Green!!!!!

..and I bet they thought it would be safe living in England!

pudding77 · 07/12/2006 16:32

Hi everyone, sorry not had chance to read all the posts from the last couple of days but hope everyone's well!

Foxie - just caught your last post, what tornado??

harktheheraldfoxessing · 07/12/2006 16:34

Puds there was a tornado in Harlesden/Kensal Green today. 100 houses got damaged and several people taken to hospital !!!!

How did your move go then?

MrsRecycle · 07/12/2006 16:37

Oxo - I have a brilliant decorator - just done an excellent job in our hallway. If you email Uwila she has my mail address and I can forward you his details (assuming you have Uwila's!!).

Uwila - oh no so sorry to hear about Nanny. Thanks for last night though today dd2 was a nightmare and I dropped her off at school telling the teacher that if I was recalled to pick her up from school I wouldn't be responsible for my actions!

Quokka - nice to see you today and your darling two ds's. Hope you're feeling better.
