OK if we exchange contracts this morning we will still be moving at the end of the week. God I sound like a broken record (it is a good job I am blonde so you can't see the grey hairs developing at a rapid rate).

Foxie poor you! and you can't even take lots of drugs to make you feel better. If you can hang your head over a pot of steaming water with wsome chamomilla in it. Should help your nose/sinuses

As for throat. Try and get your hands on Manuka honey. Worked wonders when I had razor blade throat

OP posts:
snowfallatxmasmum · 19/12/2006 11:14

hi all

not going to be around much thu and fri but would just drop cash with someone or pay pal?

mrsB hope it is really on the mend

foxie - second the manuka well worth it, hope you feel better soon

wave to everyone else

ComeOyeFaithfulVeneer · 19/12/2006 11:23

Not good news I'm afraid. The move has been postponed until after christmas now, so will happen on the 4th of January. We now have to live in chaos for the next 2 weeks as the entire contents of the loft is in our dinning room.

MrsBojangles · 19/12/2006 11:29

oh no cov... that's a shame. I still have the joys of moving ahead of me. Need to find a place to rent first though.

BTW Feeling so crap I'm in a cleaning frnezy mood and going through lo's room. Anybody want some toys?

Nanou1 · 19/12/2006 11:39

sorry to hear that veneer . mrsbigd...sorry to hear you are still looking... hopefully something will turn up soon! poor foxie - how about sprinkling some olbas oil on your pillow? and drinking ginger tea to strenghten your immune system? good day all. so much to do i don't know where to start. aagghhh

PortAndLemonaid · 19/12/2006 11:49

Can drop stuff (and tenner) somewhere on Thursday morning if someone lets me know where.

hoxohoxohoxo · 19/12/2006 11:58

CoV: would you like to store stuff in our garage? I forget where you are so don't know if it is practable but it may ease up some room for you?

uwila · 19/12/2006 13:55

Oh no Veneer. Get on a plane and say sod them all for Christmas. Go to Nice or somewhere nice. Then come back on say the 30th and prepare move.

It's either that or spend Christmas with you MIL.

On a brighter note, I really am looking forward to you moving. We must get the kids together for a play date. Hang in there... and kill the poodle if you have to.

ComeOyeFaithfulVeneer · 19/12/2006 14:00

Thanks Hoxoohoxohoxo but we are in N London atm so would need to hire a van. We will manage ok, I just need to keep ds out of the dining roomas he keeps mountainering piles of boxes. Uwila it is ok we are already booked for 5 days down at my parents for christmas not at IL's. Although we have arrangements with them on the 28th, 30th and Newyears eve/day.

pudding77 · 19/12/2006 14:11

So no books, I'll see if there's any dvds we have.

MrsB - a few of us are meeting at mine Thurs am if you can join us! If you need my address then CAT me & I'll email it on.

PortAndLemonaid · 19/12/2006 14:18

2kg is quite a lot if we're doing just DVDs, I suspect we could include some paperbacks...?

I have lots of clamshell CD/DVD cases I use for photo CDs that would cut down on bulk and weight if we transferred the DVDs into out of their original packaging, if that would help.

Is the stuff being collected at pudding's? I could drop off there if someone will CAT me the address (can't make social stuff as I'm working that day, but can take time out to drive there and back).

Nanou1 · 19/12/2006 14:51

oh bugger.... just back from shops and i forgot the mince pies for the package... i think i have a green snow suit; it's second hand but do you think it would be suitable as a pressie for daniel? at least it would be warm and something to wear that is not pink?! something for him would be nice too dont you think guys?

PortAndLemonaid · 19/12/2006 14:52

Sue did take out a snowsuit for him, I'm pretty certain (we were talking about it at Escale).

If only there were time to get him a MN t-shirt...

Nanou1 · 19/12/2006 14:53

just thinking now paddle... would you be ok to take my bundle of stuff back for Sue with you then tomorrow? i'll wrap it all up nicely!!!

Nanou1 · 19/12/2006 14:55

oh ! thanks for that lemonaid (and i remember who you are . maybe i'll find something else to take to daniel then!
