How about a Sat meet? Then people could meet in a pub first for a cheap bite to eat and a chat and then all go to Waxy's? This place is near the Travel Lodge too and serves grub.

Just thinking about those people who would struggle to get there for a Friday evening, esp if they are travelling far. And I'm one who is not going to drink on an empty stomach again!

We seem to have lost loads of people now that the venue has moved from the South! Is is that all those Southerners are too scared to drive oop North a little bit?
