how so like shredded wheat? i have a belly like buddha, is that the same thing?

sfxmum · 15/11/2006 22:09

hi chocabloc you found us
do you meant stretchmarks? i went huge put on 4 stone and nearly 18m later i still have not lost, but no stretchmarks at all, its genetic i think mother and sister the same

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 15/11/2006 23:23

I don't have stretchmarks but my sis did with her second lo and my mom has pretty bad stretchmarks from having 4, one a year!

My sis claimed it was because she didn't use stretch mark cream the second time but I don't know . . .

MrsBojangles · 16/11/2006 06:52

congrats oxo!

I guess it's called equilibrium... I'm loosing my cushy job 5 mins from home and school and you find one ... I'm not bitter... really

Shredded wheat tummy? I've got 'crepe' tummy... too much skin that ruffles if and when I can be bothered to hold my tummy in . Have stretchmarks but not from pregnancy that was from teenage years extreme yoyo dieting. Stretchmark creams are overrated, any bodylotion will do the trick

hoxohoxohoxo · 16/11/2006 08:01

Sorry Mrs Bo: but am now happy to note that such jobs DO exist. They are not a figment of our over active imagination. Go get it!!!!!

ps: bad hangover this morning

hoxohoxohoxo · 16/11/2006 08:02

By teh way: pls do NOT talk about tummys (or should that be tummies?) as mine is shameful. But it's no worse than teh size of my ass, so at least I match.

harktheheraldfoxessing · 16/11/2006 08:52

I've enevr had strech marks but have huge fat tummy. Being pregnant is the only time I don't have to hold it in.

Am determined that after this LO pops out, will do some some tummy excercises

Choccy - what type of surgery are you thinking of. I'd quite like some surgery on my fat tum too, so tell me all !

Paddlechick666 · 16/11/2006 09:35

no stretch marks on tummy but have got them on inner thighs - not from pregnancy tho. dunno what from actually!

i used a hemp based moisturisor from Serf to Surf on my bump and it was lovely!

what a grotty day it is today ;-(

sfxmum · 16/11/2006 09:44

dd and I only woke up at 9
and what a wet day

about preg tummy i did use clarins oil from the start but its all flabby, somehow time for pilates just disappeared, even though i did it throughout the pregnancy.

hoxohoxohoxo · 16/11/2006 10:16

so lovely to see a boost of optimism on such a yucky day

lemonaid · 16/11/2006 10:18

Had 45 minute fight with DS trying to get him to wear waterproofs this morning... eventuslly I had to admit defeat on the wellies as evry time i put them on him he'd take them off. Grrrrrr.

sfxmum · 16/11/2006 10:19

would that be christmas do in New York with shopping included then

sfxmum · 16/11/2006 10:21

my dd loves her wellies and waterproofs except when it is actually raining - toddlers!

trying2bgood · 16/11/2006 10:52

Mrsb - what happened with your job?

Am thinking of going back to work after the summer but have no idea what to do with myself, I have not worked for nearly 3 years now and can only just about type!

Anyway, would like a bit of sympathy, am sitting in the gym like an idiot. dd1 is in the creche which I booked and I was dressed for the running machine and then realised I had forgot to bring my trainers - doh! Won't be telling my mum who is at home babysitting dd2!

MrsBojangles · 16/11/2006 11:06

trying2bgood... the company I'm working for is closing down. As for sitting in the gym without trainers... no excuse LOL you can still hit the excersice mats and do some floor work and stretches

Lemonaide... I used to have fights with dd on what she's supposed to wear until I stopped raising to the occassion and just first ignored her tantrum and then put her into the clothes I deemed fit. Though I have the advantage that for her age she is very petite and light so easy to 'man handle'

Paddlechick666 · 16/11/2006 11:09

well, as i am taking dd to norfolk this weekend i fully expect to get use out of new splash suit and wellies!

the forecast is dreadful - and it's a biking weekend and i am ABSOLUTELY getting us on that bike!

Xmas do and shopping NY - no problemo. select few will be invited to join me in Hawaii or Tahiti for Xmas as well

or, alternatively, if i win, i could just give you all a years' supply of babysitting......

Paddlechick666 · 16/11/2006 11:11

lol @ t2bg, good use of accidental spare time.

and MrsB, yes she could do some floor work on the mats but you must applaud her for coming to us to 'fess up first !

lemonaid · 16/11/2006 11:11

Well, yes, I put him into the waterproofs ignoring the tantrum but he's a solid little chap with a nice line at twisting in the most awkward possible way at the most awkward possible time so it took a while. I only gave in on the wellies because I'd got them on about six times and he took them off every time almost as soon as I let go of him. I need wellies with padlocks, really...

harktheheraldfoxessing · 16/11/2006 11:48

lemon - how old is your DS?

DD often walks round the house in just her pants and a pair of wellies. I do hope she doesn't grow up to be a Tory MP . I have huge rucks with her about what she deigns to wear - usually when we're in a hurry to go out

PC - I really want to do the Euro thingy but always forget to buy the tickets. Anyone fancy starting a syndicate? We could collect the money at the meet ups and put our names down.

Just imagine all the chances we'd have and well, if we all won a million each, we could put a 5% deposit down on a house in Richmond LOL

When I've had this baby, I'm half thinking of starting a belly dancing class in Kew. I'd need to hire a hall (The Barn in Marksbury Avenue or St Lukes in the Avenue or on Sandycombe road would be possibilities) and hire a teacher.

Its fantastic excercise for the area between upper waist and just abouve the knees. I used to go to a class and its brillaint fun.

Would anyone be interested????

lemonaid · 16/11/2006 11:58

Two in January, and I'd potentially be interested in the bellydancing...

sfxmum · 16/11/2006 12:10

bellydancingi like the idea of clubbing together for some sort of class bellydancing yoga pilates whatever

lol at 5% deposit for Richmond residence
i would go for a Somerset or Devon farm thanks

am terribly broody terribly terribly broody i even brush aside the images of how much harder it would be.

have finally started getting into the Christmas thing, present lists, rent car for trip to in laws, be great to put feet up and do zero work for a few days with plenty of enthusiastic baby entertainers

festivevillas · 16/11/2006 12:25

sfx me terribly terribly broody too and even found myself browsing the nursery section of the John Lewis website this morning, hellllllp!!!!!!

harktheheraldfoxessing · 16/11/2006 12:47
