dd developed a nasty cold on the back of her bad tummy yesterday, just asleep but i guess not for long, poor thing can't breathe properly.

fizzi glad your dd seems to be getting better

sfxmum · 04/11/2006 21:18

oh dear proof read although eveil not bad

MrsBonfire · 04/11/2006 21:46

oh no! defo something going round isn't there! We've vaporrubed ds and he smells like a pharmacy now and snotting freely. Have to get those capsules you empty around bed again, can't remember what they're called now... aids breathing.

effin bloody b*stard fireworks!

been going off since 6pm and have been up and down the stairs like a yo-yo. we are epi-centre for sure!

now dd sleeping soundly i have to go check she is breathing coz can't believe this racket is not waking her!

dd deff on mend but bottom still pretty bad. out today with no change of clothes but some small nappy leakage. will have to pack spare trews if going out tomorrow just in case.

erm trying to remember what those capsules are - is it Karvol or something?

god tv is rubbish tonight!

FizBangWhooooosh · 04/11/2006 21:55

ps: ta for thread, good work!

sfxmum · 04/11/2006 22:04

Karvol yes they do some liquid thing too like olbas oil dd also has some rub, don't think she will sleep long but she needs all the rest she can get
i hate it when she is poorly i just feel so helpless

FizBangWhooooosh · 04/11/2006 22:18

know what you mean SFX but remember that when they're poorly all they want is their mummy and you're the one thing that can help her feel a little better.

dd really wasn't fazed by much of the cacophony earlier when she was awake. but every now and then a big one went off and she scuttled over to me. not scared or upset but just wanted to feel a bit safer.

jeez the bangs seem to be getting louder!

guyfoxie · 05/11/2006 14:35

We were completely surrounded by fireworks last night too! Plus a party which finished at 8.30am this morning!! (how dare they not invite me? )

sfx how is your LO oday?

sfxmum · 05/11/2006 20:09

hello all another night of fireworks it seems

we have been having a miserable time, whatever tummy bug dd had, dh and I caught it. we have all been in our PJ's all day feeling quite ill. but dd seems better, i think it will be a recovery day tomorrow, i hope

FizBangWhooooosh · 05/11/2006 20:45

oh lord! sfx, sounds like we're in the same boat.

spent all night in the bathroom and poor dd along with me as she kept waking up whenever i got up.

have felt awful all day, dd still not 100% and teething so pretty grizzly.

luckily dh was on hand to help out today otherwise think i would've had to call my mother!

and now next door are setting off tonnes of very loud/bright fireworks outside dd's bedroom window.

stunningly she is still asleep but can't see that lasting. in fact, i think i should check she is still breathing!

may well take a book and go to bed.............

MrsBonfire · 05/11/2006 23:02

touch wood so far we haven't got the bug, though ds has a rash... so piriton'ed him but he's not drowsy LOL. And we're fireworks epicenter again as well... argh when will it stop!?!

just got invited for an interview with and Escort service! ... as a receptionist/admin person

Have no moral issues with it... BUT... what does one put on ones cv once one looks at moving on? Model Agency? Entertainment Managing Service? not sure whether to go or not. Probably good for a laugh

sfxmum · 06/11/2006 16:16

escort agency? well i guess some future employers will highly value your contacts

slowly recovering, here at sfx household

fizi hope you and dd are feeling better too

spooxooky · 06/11/2006 16:50

It's those cheekbones Mrs B D

Have heard from jobs: one offer - for FULL TIME (can they not listen??? I said p/t at least 50 times in the interview/ application etc). The other company are still deciding but have now said they want me to attend 3 evening meetings a month so I'm not interested even if they offer.

One last interview, next week. Can everyone pray/blink 3 times or whatever especially hard next Tuesday pls. Def part time job but dh thinks it's a 'shoein', as in they have someone internal for the post and are going through the interview motions

Why so hard to get part time job. That pays well. And is no more than 15mins from home?? Oh - just realised my own answer

poo, poo, poo

hoxohoxohoxo · 06/11/2006 16:54

Have decided to cheer myself up with Christmas name.
If M&S at Kew have their decorations and tree up, it's time!!!

MrsBojangles · 06/11/2006 17:24

any suggestions for a better christmas name appreciated

Just spoke to the guy from the 'escort service' to arrange for interview... tomorrow evening 21:00 in the West End. Very ominous still deciding whether I'm actually going to go... I'll run it past dh tonight 'oh hun would you mind terribly if I go for an interview tomorrow night at an escort service?'

As for your question re part-time jobs... yep requires no response... and if they give you a pt job then they'll try and shaft you at the same time...

harktheheraldfoxessing · 06/11/2006 18:54

MrsBoangles - he probably wants to ascertain whether your any good in bed or not!! ROFL

You have to go now, just so you can report back to us

harktheheraldfoxessing · 06/11/2006 18:55

HoHo - by law you can phone the people who offered you the f/t job and formerly request it be part time, as you have a child under 6. They need to present a business case as to why it has to be full time.

How to win friends and influence people (errr...)

MrsBojangles · 06/11/2006 18:56

hmmm receptionist with fringe benefits? doubt it very much having had a look at their website... I rate way below par , saying that I do have the cheekbones, but in comparison I'm waaayyyy too fat

lemonaid · 06/11/2006 19:17

Domestic Services company? Dating agency? Concierge service?

alliwantforxmasismy2frontteeth · 06/11/2006 19:39

Ok who lowered the tone? So has there been any gossip that I've missed? Hows SJ getting on, has she met the chosen one?

Do you like my name change, was struggling to find a longer one. Actually I did sing this song every year for 3yrs, as I knocked my teeth out as soon as I got them!

Paddlechick666 · 06/11/2006 20:41

you're all FAR too premature!

humph!

ps: actually let's hope that statement doesn't apply to MrsB's escort agency he he he

lemonaid · 06/11/2006 22:13

SJ has met Junior (here ) but is being cagy about any details. From chatting to her in Escale she doesn't finally commit herself until she's seen the medical report and has an understanding of any issues, so I guess that's why.

Paddlechick666 · 06/11/2006 22:28

finger's x'd.

thanks for the headsup Lemonaid.

MrsBojangles · 06/11/2006 22:46
