As the last thread was getting long and ot much arranged?

Any ideas or dates?

What about everyone puts down dates they can't do between now and end of June to get us started?

I can't do weekend of May 8/9th.

Gingerbear · 13/06/2004 12:47

Would love to come for a picnic. Sunday 11 July would be best for us -DH usually works Saturdays.

Never been to Graves park before, so we may do a reccy before then!!

katzguk · 13/06/2004 19:45

wasn't sure where to post this but as part of the broomhill festival there is a family fun day at the botanical gardens Saturday 11th of june from 2-5 promises to be fun
fun

Hulababy · 14/06/2004 00:24

Link didn't work Hope this does now !Will have better look at this later, but we may have a wander over if we aren't doing much else.

OP posts:
katzguk · 14/06/2004 00:46

thanks hula, had got all excited because thought i'd got one right for once!!

dottee · 14/06/2004 02:13

Pennypocket says she can make 10th/11th July.

Hulababy · 14/06/2004 13:41

Okay then. How about:

Sunday 11 July
Partenrs and children all welcome (and anyone else you wish to bring along)
Picnic at the Park

Time?

Confirmation of location?

I am just a bit concerned that those without own transport may be put of by graves park if having to use a bus - especially with pushchairs, etc. So those who are interested in coming along, can you confirm location preferences please!

OP posts:
katzguk · 14/06/2004 14:01

i'll be there, Graves aprk okay for us, could squeeze one adult and child in car to and might have invite a friend who could do the same

dottee · 14/06/2004 17:18

I'll bring Pennypocket along if it's OK with her. So it will be dp, ds2, myself (probably not dd at this stage), PP, her ds and her dh in our car if he's not working (good job we've got 7 seats ).

We'll have to leave at around 2.30pm though because I'll have to go and pick my kids up in Rochdale at 5pm.

Hulababy · 17/06/2004 12:43

How about an earlieh meet then, play time first and then picnic lunch?

Say about 10:30am or 11am?

katzguk · 17/06/2004 19:17

it was okay today a bit boring for little ones.

next week in St Marks sat 19th theres the Festival Garden Party, St Mark's Green and the Rutland Hotel
normal village fete sought to thing starts at 2pm

Lisa78 · 17/06/2004 19:19

does anyone know if the !"£$%^&*() football will be on that day - we might be chained to tv watching England

Hulababy · 18/06/2004 19:20

Football final is on 4th July so it'll all be over with by then Luckily my Dh isn't hugely into football so I don't have to watch that much of it

OP posts:
Hulababy · 26/06/2004 13:57

Any more takers???

OP posts:
katzguk · 26/06/2004 14:02

whats the final head count? are we all bringing food for our own or going to do one large everyone brings one thing picnic?

Hulababy · 26/06/2004 14:10

Might be easier to bring own stuff to start with, but maybe the odd thing to share as well. Just thinking that I don;'t eat meat, DH can be ever so picky, although DD is easy pleased! What does everyone else think?

So who have we got???

Me
Katzguk
Pennypocket
dottee
gingerbear
maisystar???
Lisa78???

Any more I have missed??? (sorry in advance)

And who is bring ho with them. Dh and 2yo Dd will be with me.

Maisystar - we should be able to take you and DS if you like, although may be tight squeeze for you to fit in back of car with two car seats int here?

OP posts:
katzguk · 26/06/2004 14:13

will be me DD (20months) and DH

dottee · 26/06/2004 14:38

With us : dp, ds2, me, PP and her ds (her dh started his new job yesterday .... hurray! .... but works weekends )

maisystar · 26/06/2004 15:39

i hope that's not a reference to my vast consumption of food hulababy

should be able to come but will have to check my parents aren't planning a visit-it doesn't do to upset them!

and if we come will probably bring mainly own food cos i am veggy (and ds is supposed to be!) but like hula says can bring stuff to share too.

Hulababy · 26/06/2004 15:44

LOL maisystar!!!! Mind you back of our car with two car seats in back - you would have to be be tiny!!! Will have to try at the YSP meet on 5th July to test it out.
