Any ideas or dates?

I've just e-mailed PP. Hula - her mobile's down. I'll convey details when she gets back to me.

dottee · 30/05/2004 17:29

To clarify - I'm e-mailing her at work as her home PC's down. Fingers crossed we'll get sorted

maisystar · 30/05/2004 20:03

i can do any of those-have no life!

not for a meet, but just if anyones interested theres a vintage fire engine, bus, car thing in endcliffe park on the 6th june(sunday)

Hulababy · 30/05/2004 23:55

Thanks dottee - not heard from her for a while so thought he must still be without a PC connection at home

OOoh thanks Maisystar! My step ds may like that. There's a Noddy weekend at Elsecar Heritage Centre (off J36 - M1)this weekend if anyone's stuck what to do (Sunday and Monday).

katzguk · 31/05/2004 11:50

we were going to go to Noddy but can't now so if someone does please let me know whta it was like

Hulababy · 31/05/2004 11:50

Now my DD would love the Noddy days! Might have a look into that. If anyone else is stuck for things to do this weekend at Hillsbrough Park, Sheffield there is the Mayfest. It's £4 for adults, 2 for children and free for under 3s? (maybe 5???) Do a search on Google for it and it gives more info. Lots happening there from what I can gather and people like Mark Owen are singing.

dottee · 31/05/2004 20:01

Hiya

Just been in touch with PP again at work. She's free most dates and I'll be giving her a lift anyway. Re: Noddy look here

I'm thinking of taking dd on Monday depending on what moods 'we' are in and I've told PP about Noddy too.

dottee · 31/05/2004 20:03

Sorry to rub it in Katz

Hulababy · 04/06/2004 23:48

Bump!

Anyone else favour any of the dates, or can't do any???

Lisa78 · 05/06/2004 22:00

I have no idea what is going on here - and am far too idle to read the entire thread! But I am up for another meet up! Don't work around my dates though, we often plan stuff at the last minute, so if you post the date and time, I'll be there if I can
Did that make sense?!!!

dottee · 07/06/2004 23:36

We may have something on 19th June.

Also 17th/18th July is definately out.

I may have dd aged 12 with SEN some weekends - ex is having problems coping with her at the moment (me NOT impressed!) - she normally goes to him. If meet-up is at suitable venue and dd in good mood (if she is with us), is everyone OK with that?

It probably won't apply but I thought I'd check just in case as I'm on standby with him.

Hulababy · 07/06/2004 23:44

Of course your DD would be welcome dottee

So now down to (I have knocked another couple off - one next weekend, as too soon, and one where I am at a wedding):

Sat 12th June
Sun 13th June
Sun 20th June - Father's Day!
Sat 10th July
Sun 11th July

Sha;; we just book in a date.

How about Saturday 10th or Sunday 11th July?

Would give us lots of time to plan, weather may be a bit better, and can plan where to go!

July 10th/11th is a good weekend for us.
I'll check with PP.

katzguk · 10/06/2004 19:00

10/11th fine with me

what about a big picnic at graves park? soemthing for all ages

Hulababy · 10/06/2004 19:23

Picnic, in the park sounds great. Can bring food, drink, footbalss, rugs, etc. then and spend a while just playing.

OP posts:
Lisa78 · 10/06/2004 20:39

I can do that weekend (sorry to disappoint you )
Is this a partners included picnic or just us girls?

Hulababy · 10/06/2004 21:39

Can it be partners too at the weekend? Or anyone else you want to invite and bring along. How about a rule: the more the merrier?

Dh is normally always around at weekends, and would feel sad to miss out. TBH, it's also the time he gets to spend with Dd most so... He also likes his picnic and playing ball

OP posts:
dottee · 11/06/2004 15:37

Dp definately wants to come. He keeps asking what's happening with the meet-up . With me being relatively new to S. Yorks, where is Graves Park in Sheffield? I know the Children's Hospital and the station and the city centre, and places like Hillsboro stadium.

Lisa78 · 11/06/2004 15:55

Good point dottee! I don't know where it is either!

katzguk · 11/06/2004 16:51

graves park in on the a61 towards chesterfield, the way we do is out passed bramall lane footie stadium, then along the a61 passed matalan, currys etc, then look out for the sigs to graves park!!! maybe someone else can post better directions!!!

i would like to bring my DH if people are okay with that and maybe a friend and her DD

Hulababy · 11/06/2004 23:31

This is Graves Park .

But I think you'd need own transport to get to it. It is good - loads of grass for playing/picnic, a children's playground and an animal farm to look at the animals.

However, if this is difficult without transport, we could go somewhere more central:

(a) Botanical gardens - lots of grass and place to run about and picnic, but no playground, etc. Lovely cafe too

or

(b) Ecclesall Park (is that what it's called) - again lots of grass, and playground.
