Following on from the South Yorkshire meet up thread and the rain check on today's meet due to rain -

Weather depending, we can meet somewhere like the Botanical Gardens.

Suitable days and times?

I can do Monday and Fridays, generally any time.

ooh yes Hula, please meet me! I can find my way home from anywhere, but going places - I get lost in my garden!

Lisa78 · 17/05/2004 20:46

DH pissing himself laughing at the prospect of me getting to you without going via
a) hospital
b) police station
c) home of kindly old lady taking pity on hysterically sobbing, hopelessly lost mother of baby

Hulababy · 17/05/2004 20:48

No probelms - I will meet you off the tram. Once WM comes online to confrim where and time we will sort it. Will you have a mobile on you? If so it may be worth us swapping numbers as the trams run every 7 or 8 minutes - then I will be able to work out roughly which one it will be.

Don't forget to wear a carnation

Lisa78 · 17/05/2004 20:50

Hulababy · 17/05/2004 20:51

(a) hospital not ont ram route
(b) police station in red light area, so not good
(c) some very strange old ladies in Sheffield!!!

OP posts:
Hulababy · 17/05/2004 20:54

OP posts:
Lisa78 · 17/05/2004 20:56

yup got it, and sent it

Will not tell DH this - it will not reassure him one little bit!!!!!!! He has no faith in my ability to get from a to b, without going via the rest of the alphabet

Hulababy · 17/05/2004 20:58

Got you number and sent you mine!

OP posts:
Lisa78 · 17/05/2004 20:59

Then I will text you a test message (and it will be clean!!!) when I get your email!
We are so organised! We could be in MI5
(Well I am actually, but don't tell anyone, its a secret)

WedgiesMum · 17/05/2004 21:04

Here I am, and yey for Friday! Glad that you can both come too ditsy and Lisa. 12.30 would be good for me if that is good for everyone else, and to be completely selfish Zooby's is the perfect place to meet as far as I am concerned (REALLY close to work ) - especially as I always go there on a Friday for my lunch.

Anyone else coming?? (sorry you can't make it Katz - but what a lovely day you'll have at Warwick, snigger, snigger )

Lisa78 · 17/05/2004 21:09

I can do anytime that suits you lot, so just tell me when and I will be there (two hours early, well, I will be going via meadowhall!!!!! )

Hulababy · 17/05/2004 21:18

Okay then:

Zoobys (inside Winter gardens)
12:30

And can I have the humous and roasted vegetables roll again? And DD the babana roll? Not creature of habits

Lisa - Get off the tram at Cathedral. I will meet you there and we can walk over together. It's only a five minute walk - maybe 10 or so if Dd insists on walking! So just let me know what tim you want me to meet you. As I said before I am town anyway as taking DD for photos to be taken at 10:30am

WM - DD fell asleep for 2 hours once we got back home today

OP posts:
WedgiesMum · 17/05/2004 21:26

Great - looking forward to it!

DD didn't sleep AT ALL on the way home, I was really surprised, so we decided to go and get her birthday cake She went to bed early though....

Hulababy · 17/05/2004 21:28

LOL DD has been in bed since 7:15 but is STILL awake!!! If I go in she is sat up in bed 'reading' books to Baby Annabel and she says she isn't tired. Oh well, it is nursery who will have to deal with her tomorrow when she is tired and grumpy, not me

OP posts:
WedgiesMum · 17/05/2004 21:29

Tee hee

Lisa78 · 17/05/2004 21:31

Sounds good to me ladies

Hula, how does this sound? If I head to Meadowhall and text you when I am getting on the tram (how long does it take from M'hall to Cathedral?) - would that be okay with you?
I don't mind waiting at the tram stop for you, so don't bust a gut! Shall I aim for about 12?

Hulababy · 18/05/2004 14:59

Lisa - 12 would be good. It takes about 15-20 minutes to Cathedral from Meadownhall, so yes - text me as you leave.

Any good way to recognise you???

OP posts:
maisystar · 18/05/2004 16:21

oooh, how exiting!! can ds and i come? (am going to get there first and steal all the sandwiches if you say no )

gingerbear · 18/05/2004 16:43

Hula, have emailed you.

Lisa, we could meet up in Meadowhall and catch the tram together.

Hulababy · 18/05/2004 18:28

gingerbear - got your e-mail and done quick reply for noe. Are you and Lisa going to meet up at Meadowhall and catch same tram.

Looking forward to meeting you, and you too maisystar!

And those sandwiches are MINE

OP posts:
Lisa78 · 18/05/2004 20:16

Hey Gingerbear - yes that would be good, I am fabulous at getting lost, so I can blame you if I do!! So, if we are aiming to meet Hula at Cathedral about 12, shall we meet at 11.30ish? Whereabouts at Meadowhall do you want to meet? If you send me your email address, I can email a picture of me, so you might stand a chance of recognising me!!!
Otherwise, you will have to wander around saying "Lisa?" to everyone with a baby boy, cos thats less embarrassing than me wandering around saying "Gingerbear?"

sonnysmum · 18/05/2004 22:44

hey sheffield mamas...how old are your DS & DD's? i have a 5 month old DS...is he too young for your gang?

Lisa78 · 18/05/2004 22:46

No of course he isn't, my baby is only 6 months old! All ages welcome - including mummies! So, shall we see you on Friday?

gingerbear · 19/05/2004 01:05

rushes in breathless....
sorry everyone, been too busy to get online until now.
Lisa, my other name is Debbie. I will meet you at 11.30 at the exit to the interchange walkway in M&S upstairs. I will be with Katie who is almost 2 and pushing a Grey Maclaren Vogue buggy.

Hula, I can't get to my email at work until tomorrow morning, but hopefully will see you as arranged.

I have never been on the tram before, so getting all giddy now!
