Hi choccy, glad to see we didn't scare you! Well, some people anyway, the rest of us are slightly more normal

I haven't been to duffy's for a while now, we used to go quite a bit pre-ds, usually for a few drinks before heading off to the tapas restaurant! Those were the days...

sfxmum · 14/11/2006 21:47

hi chocabloc welcome, so are you coming to chat on our general chat thread? go on makes us feel like old farts by saying who? what?
where is mrsBig to updtae stats thread

chocabloc · 14/11/2006 21:48

hey pud, ive been once, its comfy in there, and there are no lairy idiots, thats what i like about it! hows ur day beeen?

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 14/11/2006 21:51

I'm afraid I'm going to opt out of this one. My budget is just not going to stretch to this.

Well, there's January.

harktheheraldfoxessing · 14/11/2006 22:22

Choccy - that place looks really good. We could go there for one of our meet ups maybe?????

How about the January one, when everyone is broke as it looks very good value (my kind of place )

I worked from home today and actually did some work so feeling good

MrsBojangles · 15/11/2006 09:31

choca west london stats thread if you want to ad yourself

and this is the general chit chat thread

ComeOVeneer · 15/11/2006 09:38

Will have to bow out of this one I'm afraid. No chance of moving bythen (notsure it will be squeezed in before christmas now, will will make the whole process a year long. Anyway have a fab time, (I'll see a few of you this Saturday though) and keep your fingers crossed I willbe able to join you for the January one.

pudding77 · 15/11/2006 09:43

Comeoveener - moving house is such a pain isn't it? We're buying at the minute as well and fortunately we're moving in 3 weeks before xmas. hope things speed up for you & we'll see you in Jan!

Duffy's would be good for a meet, esp as it's really close to me! Haven't they just expanded it as well?

harktheheraldfoxessing · 15/11/2006 10:02

If we do TJDuffy's for January, I can (in my usual fashion) give lifts back to Kew and Richmond for up to six people.

harktheheraldfoxessing · 15/11/2006 10:03

Choccy - will you come along if we go to TJ's - would be nice to meet you

Comeone - hopefully you'll be a west Londoner by then too

hoxohoxohoxo · 15/11/2006 16:24

I'll happily spread my wings Ealing way. Being Irish and all, I kind of have to don't I?
But - on hols 7-14
given christmas turmoil will going out be towards the end of the month anyway?

hoxohoxohoxo · 15/11/2006 16:36

Guys, can we have a recap on who is coming to the Christmas bash please. I'll need to confirm numbers with the restaurant next week.
Cheers

pudding77 · 15/11/2006 17:04

I'm coming

& hoxo, agree with you that Jan meet would probably be better towards the end of the month. We could combine Jan & Feb into one?

sfxmum · 15/11/2006 19:28

i will be there

festivevillas · 15/11/2006 19:34

Count me in for the 1st Dec knees-up

After Mon night's culinary disaster am sitting here with a box of Celebrations and a G&T for supper! DH is out, ahhhh, so can't be bothered going NEAR the kitchen.

pudding77 · 15/11/2006 20:59

My dh is out also so have had a glass of wine & curly wurly for tea. Am going to venture into the kitchen but only for another drink & a packet of crisps I think are somewhere in there & then carry on watching my cheesy film!!

MrsBojangles · 16/11/2006 07:05

I'm in

hoxohoxohoxo · 16/11/2006 07:58

by wierd timing, the restaurant called last night. They will email me the menus today and we have to choose 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 deserts to make up our restriucted menu for the night.

Also, I think numbers are falling a bit (combination of price, Rome and life factors), do we have 8? If not, does anyone want to open it to OUTSIDERS???

Btw: if less than 8, we can still have the room and don't have to stick with the set menu(even though we do set it ourselves )

festivevillas · 16/11/2006 08:39

Good one Puds! DH is ALSO out Fri night so I might treat myself to a Walnut Whip (perhaps one of those M&S 3 packs) and a decent white wine ie something that costs more than £3.99 for supper! Oxoxooooo Brula will be great so no worries about numbers and if the restaurant are pushing to invite outsiders in .. [shudder] then we'll soon scare them off! I for one shall be needing a large drink (sigh, what's new) that night as I have taken 1st Dec off work to go to Kingston and cover my entire Christmas shop!

MrsBojangles · 16/11/2006 10:30

I do my christmas shopping on-line well actually family will be inundated with photographic presents so will be one of my friends... she'll be getting a calendar featuring her son and a mousemat featuring her cat, her son will be getting a puzzle featuring their dog ... am I mean or what!

Mother in law will get photo albums and keyring displaying ds and dd and so will my mum

'You lot' will be getting secret santa lucky dip

I shall contact a few more West London mums that seem to have fallen of the radar. Have heard from Unicorn (I think) she's been a bit down so maybe she's up for a shindig

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 16/11/2006 10:55

MrsB,

That's a really good idea! I know my mil would love to have a nice photo of my lo and so would my sil.

I hope you don't mind me copying ur idea.

MrsBojangles · 16/11/2006 11:01

no problem. Have nice pics or need some done?

mellowandreadyforchristmas · 16/11/2006 15:52

We do actually. We had some pics taken professionally of dd recently so I'll probably use those.

pudding77 · 16/11/2006 15:55

MrsB - do you do professional photography? Just curious as we were going to get some studio photos taken for xmas presents etc.
