W.London CHristmas Dinner: Brula, Twickenham 1st Dec

OK, Brula booked for FRIDAY 1st December!
For own private room! 2 things, we must arrive between 7-8 pm (no rpoblem, surely!) and if there are 10 or more of us they can go off a la carte for different menu (if we want).

So - who's in?

(Not stepping on yr toes, oh cheekboned one, this is as organised as I get!)

ok booked table for 13/12 @ 19:00 at Rustica for 12 people. Currently can only stay till 2100 but she's trying to rearrange some other tables so we can stay longer

Ohhh, just let me know what pub. And pls try to avoid the 'boom boom' pubs opposite (a wetherspoons I think). There's an Irish pub beside Rustica which has a nice little back area. Or rather it did when I was there last about 4 years ago

am paniquing cos thought it was thursday and dh out wed night.... dh's uni friend leaving london for good - been great mate for 20 + years. sort of farewell reunion piss up.... and for tue we are invited somewhere.... aaaggghhh really hope great auntie can look after dd wed night then... forget the pub idea before the meal!!!!!

bril! don't worry - you can always sit on my lap! actually.... question from a foreigner... why do we say "sit on my lap" when really it mean "sit on my laps"? or am i making a brat of myself....?

Lap is singular. I belive it refers to the combination of both thighs to form a seat.

Unlike 'bap', which is a colloquialism (sp?) for boob. Hence one has two 'baps'.

And I could go on forever about saps... I think I've dated most of them

MrsB - thanks for booking. Let's hope their service was better than last time then - they didn't take our orders until 9pm (mind you some of us didn't get their until 8pm). See you all on Weds (Quokka will ring you in the afternoon to check your availability.)
