W.London CHristmas Dinner: Brula, Twickenham 1st Dec

OK, Brula booked for FRIDAY 1st December!
For own private room! 2 things, we must arrive between 7-8 pm (no rpoblem, surely!) and if there are 10 or more of us they can go off a la carte for different menu (if we want).

So - who's in?

(Not stepping on yr toes, oh cheekboned one, this is as organised as I get!)

Why are we writing "YES" next to our names? Why don't we just add/subtract our names.

For gift swap, I suggest everyone bring a generic gift worth less than £10 and those who bring gifts can participate, and those who don't don't.

I'll probably abstain from the secret santa as I'm broke and having to budget very carefully at the moment.

I'm supposed to be going to 6 Christmas meals and am having to think of excuses to get out of four of them, otherwise its going to cost me about £150 on Christmas dinners alone.

I want to come . The only christmas meal I've got lined up is the mums from dd's class at school and it clashes with one (of 3) of dh's christmas meals, so trying to sort out baby sitting. On the postive side we may exchange contracts next week, but don't hold your breath.

Ah I see it is about 1 mile from the new house so it won't have flooded.

And it's because a pip burst. So nothing to do with the flood plain. I wonder when the insurance companies will start evaluating risk based on the quality of pipes around the house, rather than elevation?

Don't know. I'm not there. So long as I can take a shower in the morning it won't bother me. But, if I can't take a shower I'll be mighty pissed off because I'm flying to Rome tomorrow and really don't fancy showing up all stinky.

Uwila, on the subject of the MN dinner....do you know where the mega Tesco's is in Sunbury? Is it near the big A316 Roundabout? I get very excited about going to large Tescos

Yes, take the 316, turn right onto the 308 towars Ashford (not towards Kingston / Hampton Court) and tesco is about 1/2 mile left at the light.

And I live very near so if you go there you better stop by and si "hi".
