OP posts:
MadameButterfly · 30/05/2004 20:48

We met at 10.30 in feb

My memory is not that good, I looked up the thread for it.

undecided · 30/05/2004 20:49

Let's take the jump and stop lurking. Have been thinking for ages if I should/could join this meet-up.
Have a 3.5 y old ds and a 14 mo dd. Ds still sleeps in the afternoon so wasn't sure about going anywhere, but if it's til about 2 pm he (and I) can survive...
So you think the polar expedition (sorry discordia, derby meet-up)can have 3 more members???

Hulababy · 30/05/2004 20:52

undecided, course you're welcome to join us.

undecided · 30/05/2004 20:59

huree, DS spent the whole day yesterday and today at home and got bored so will be nice to take him out...
Will be coming from the M1 south (going north). Will try to bring nice weather!

Ronniebaby · 30/05/2004 23:12

Bumpi's is fine by me & DS.

Shall we wait till Monday afternoon then make a decision. Otherwise it means getting up early on Tuesday to check this thread.

Ronniebaby · 30/05/2004 23:13

Undecided you are more than welcome.

Any new mums is always welcome and we try to make you feel welcome and comfortable too, we are not clicky etc, in fact we donte get chance to be with the kids.

MadameButterfly · 30/05/2004 23:17

I am with RB on making the decision on MOnday afternoon. Otherwise we are going to get really confused if we ait until Tuesday.

MadameButterfly · 31/05/2004 14:52

I have just checked the page that RB posted yesterday for the weather.

It is still predicting rain for tomorrow.
My vote is therefore for Bumpi's.

What does everyone else think?

MadameButterfly · 31/05/2004 15:02

For those of you that don't know where Bumpi's is there is a map and directions on their website

Ronniebaby · 31/05/2004 17:51

I'll do Bumpi's too, just what about Mez as she was going on the train, maybe I'll text her.

mez75 · 31/05/2004 18:20

Thanks for thinking of me RB (got your text), looks like Im gonna have to pull out anyway. I was just checking train times again and Sis in-law has just called me to say she has shingles! DS was with her yesterday so maybe I should stay away just in case, I would hate to pass anything on to your children
We will get to a Derby meet up one day.
Thanks for the offer of lift though WM really appreciated it

Easy · 31/05/2004 18:43

So does tht mean we go to Markeaton park if it's fine, or Bumpis if not?

I've just seen the forecast which says drizzle for the morning. I still say they never really know tho'.

I'll email RB with my Mobile number. She seems to have nearly everyone else's, so perhaps she'll keep us co-ordinated.

Oh, and I can offer a lift to anyone who needs it, room for 3.

Ronniebaby · 31/05/2004 19:28

No worries Mez, look at my posting for Sutton meet

(calling mums for Sutton etc)

Easy got your mobi, ta. Altho I only have Hula's Mez's, WM's, and Jan's, now yours.

I think the concensus is that the weather is gonna be crap, so it looks like Bumpi's???

Hulababy · 31/05/2004 20:28

Yeah, agree that weather looks rubbish now So Bumpis is it I guess. I will check back here in the morning though to check.

RB/WM/MS/MB - I text you all my new phone number last night. Did you all get it okay?

So 11am at Bumpis then?

Ronniebaby · 31/05/2004 20:36

Hula, got it and replied back.

I think Bumpi's is best. We just need to make sure all the other mums who said they were coming know about it.

maisystar · 31/05/2004 20:36

hulababy have got your new number and have emailed you

discordia · 31/05/2004 20:37

Haven't been to Bumpi's - is there a cafe or something for lunch? If so, I'll bring a smaller backpack!! Hope I get the right place, would hate to be accosting unknown mothers in the wrong place.

MadameButterfly · 31/05/2004 20:38

got it thanks Hula.

MadameButterfly · 31/05/2004 20:39

Discordia, They have a cafe there.

THere are details on the link I posted earlier

maisystar · 31/05/2004 20:40

discrdia threr is a website (sorry cant do links but im sure someone else will!) and the cafe looks really nice (and i'm a right snob about food )

discordia · 31/05/2004 20:48

Thanks for the link, MB. It sounds a bit more upmarket than Smilee's in Burton!

MadameButterfly · 31/05/2004 20:52

never been there despite living 30 minutes walk away.

discordia · 31/05/2004 20:55

MB it's not that exciting. Dd got bored within 10 mins last time we went. However, she is going to a party there on Wed.

Hulababy · 31/05/2004 21:09

I have sent WM a text and e-mail about the change of plan.

MadameButterfly · 31/05/2004 21:10

so now it is only Undecided that we need to make sure she knows
