A few degenerates seem to have the idea that some of us would for some reason once again want to get together for some drink and inane chatter somewhere in London sometime around Christmas.....

So with that in mind the date of 29 November is being paddled around.

Also getting very excited. I do like to get my badges out and dust them off. One of the main reasons I never change despite getting grumpy about the 20+ Annies running around MN these days is cos I like my badges!

I am still a 'maybe' because I'm completely torn between desperately wanting to go (first non-family or work social event in my calendar for about 3 years) and being utterly terrified!

If I do come along, I'll meet up with those of you who are gathering at WH Smith's in Victoria Station, if that's ok. I'll be the short, fat, plain one who will be looking like a startled toad

Do we really have to wear badges or is this just a cruel trick to play on first timers?

Andy I don't think there are any rules (crosses fingers), but badges might help identify us? I'll be at WH Smith too, but maybe we should have startled toad badges just to make Poirot feel at home

Of course no-one has to wear a badge but it could get tedious answering 'who are you then' 50 times

Juan. It was horrible, I was feeling so pleased to have been helpful. My phone told me we were heading off in the same direction and although language was difficult we had a good conversation about the economy, their jobs and their dd as we walked,

it wasn't till I related my prideful doings to dh that he informed me that there was a campus way closer than the one I'd taken them to. I expect they hate me.
