A few degenerates seem to have the idea that some of us would for some reason once again want to get together for some drink and inane chatter somewhere in London sometime around Christmas.....

So with that in mind the date of 29 November is being paddled around.

and and much fun to be had!

It's looking like lunchtime, isn't it? So I'll book tomorrow lunchtime unless anyone objects.

Is 1pm all right? Or maybe a bit later? Last orders are 2.30pm.

Cardamom and Tropical it looks like you're going to lose out if I do that.

We can be there until 5.30pm. You can arrive later for food - the starters are tapas-style - or just drinks at the table. They'll do that and it would be nice to include everyone.

I was was bluffing about the deadline hearts, so anyone else who wants to join in, please do. It will be easy to add you. Stick your name on the thread but PM me too so I don't miss it.

Also, do that if you need directions.

here is a plan of Victoria station.

Opposite Platform 3/4 there is a W H Smith. I am meeting OhyouBadBadKitten outside there at 12.30. If anyone else wants to meet up there & then proceed let me know.

Quints - no need to choose. Those different lists were just a way of determining whether we are doing an afternoon or an evening do. It's now been decided that it's an afternoon one. Limited is kindly booking for us. However there seem to be enough people (self included) who might be interested in carrying on sort of unofficially in the evening but I think we'll just play that bit by ear...

Hope you can make it!

I'm definitely happy with lunchtime and may stay later if I know DS is taking bottle feeds from DH okay.

Speaking of which, DH is 'concerned' about me meeting strangers from the internet... Not that I need his permission but there's not much I can think of saying to reassure him. Ive told him it's not a bunch of men with knives, just a bunch of mums... With pointy badges.

Well, I reckon there should a group who are well 'ard and will continue the festivities well after the softies have called it a day. If all goes well I shall be Celebrating and will certainly want to make a good long go of it!

If it's any consolation to your DH, mamushka, my DH thought the same thing when I first went to a meetup 4 or 5 years back, and have been to many since and still made it safe and sound. Apart from the stonking hangover.

But then, that's sort of thing I would say if I were a knife-wielding manic.
