I do hope that there is someone out there from NI (Co Down specifically) that could meet up. Our Mums and Tots are great, but I would like to organise something a bit different!!!

laloop how weird to think we may have been inpizza express at the same time unaware of each other's presence. We went ot lisburn rd one. It's like a creche.feel so sorry for anyone without kids that attempts to go. Must be really annoying not being abelt o see a waitress past the sea of balloons!
My Dh just left for the airport to fly to england to stay with friends. Home alone with ds of 13 months to entertain until sunday. Need to get thinking cap on. Have a good day all

laloop · 02/03/2007 10:50

We were in Lisburn Road one too (with purple balloons)
Probably was sitting beside you lol

cremolafoam · 02/03/2007 10:52

thanks a million for recipe.any idea what size of tin that quantity would fill? did you make it in a loaf tin or a round cake tin? bizrrely i have all those ingredients in the house- it must be fate! dd will love it-i'll get her to do it herself.

fireflyfairy2 · 02/03/2007 10:52

Oh!! How strange!! Weird world!

Do any of you go to the farmers market in Templepatrick on the last Sunday of every month? We haven't been now since before Xmas as it seemed to be very quiet, just wondering if it's any busier now that we're into March...

laloop · 02/03/2007 10:57

Made it in a roasting tin (one that's the size you could roast a turkey in - have just measured the one I used and it's 16" by 11").

cremolafoam · 02/03/2007 10:58

oh right so it a flat thing- to be cut up like tray bake? okeydoke

laloop · 02/03/2007 10:59

Rain has started here, typical! No walk for me then. Will have to head soon, ds2 has cabinfever - bringing me his coat as a subtle hint

laloop · 02/03/2007 10:59

Yeah, you cut it up into squares, like iced diamonds (love those too with a cup of tea!)

bampa · 02/03/2007 11:02

fff2 never been to the farmers market but it souunds good. Like to buy fresh/organic produce as much as possible so will maybe check it out when the weather improves...whenever that may be!
laoop and cremolafoam am ashamed to say i've never baked a cake and wouldn't know where to start

cremolafoam · 02/03/2007 11:02

grand- thanks laloop thats this afternoon sorted!

on another subject
have we got anywhere with deciding where to do the Mile for Maude?

fireflyfairy2 · 02/03/2007 11:06

Not yet I'm afraid.

You can all email me on lisa@amileformaude with your preferences & sure we'll have a kinda poll...most votes for whatever place we will go there!!

Bampa, I don't bake either, my dh is the baker in this house! Each Sunday he & dd decide what they're going to bake.. last week it was scones & german biscuits. Week before that it was pancakes & wheatmeal biscuits. Will have to get him to try the lemon drizzle cake!

I have a recipe for flapjacks if any of you are interested in that

bampa · 02/03/2007 11:10

fff2 you could write an mn easy/quick cookbook and make your millions!

cremolafoam · 02/03/2007 11:14

ok. will email
cheers
gota go now and do my messages.
byee

fireflyfairy2 · 02/03/2007 11:27

MM lovely, I'm having a nice coffee..between putting washing over the airer & sorting ironing out!

stleger · 02/03/2007 15:20

No flipping iced diamonds in Cork either. They have to be bought, don't they, for the odd dryish texture, the bright red jam and the supersweet icing. I want an iced diamond!

cremolafoam · 03/03/2007 14:41

well lemon drizzle cake a big success- thanks to laloop and of course marslady.
i made 1/2 quantities as we are only 3 !. very nice texture mmn yummityyum!

fireflyfairy2 · 03/03/2007 14:43

Oh excellent!! I give dh the recipe & he & dd might make it either tomorrow or next week

cremolafoam · 03/03/2007 14:46

cremolafoam · 03/03/2007 14:51

paulaplumpbottom · 03/03/2007 14:52

fireflyfairy2 · 03/03/2007 14:53
