I do hope that there is someone out there from NI (Co Down specifically) that could meet up. Our Mums and Tots are great, but I would like to organise something a bit different!!!

yup, the summer has been...interesting and now I've got leaves falling on my garden!
But I'm off to Donegal on monday so hope for a little bit of sunshine at least...

laloop · 17/08/2007 10:51

Hi girls

Going out now, will catch up later

Fireflyfairy2 · 17/08/2007 11:29

Donegal! Lovely!

I love Donegal town, I think we're going there on Sunday actually!

Dh's gran is getting old & unable to do much now, so we promised her a trip to Donegal for a picnic & a paddle

Are the children all ready for going back to school?

Dd has her shoes etc & her uniform & pencil case, I think I'll wait & get her school bag at the Lamass fair We usually go there on the Monday evening for a wee look around!

Anyone else go?

laloop · 17/08/2007 13:40

Have a lovely time in Donegal, rosy and fff2

We've been in Fermanagh for most of the summer with occasional days out in Donegal and Sligo. Haven't got anything ready for school yet except poloshirts and sweatshirts which were ordered directly from school. Planning on hitting the shops next week to get the pinafores, trousers and shoes...all the shops will be packed out I'm sure, nightmare! I've never been to the Lammas fair, fff2. Is it good craic?

When are we going to get another meet-up organised d'ya think?

Fireflyfairy2 · 17/08/2007 15:10

Oh I'd love an adult night time meet up But might be difficult?

Well, I wouldn't say the Lammass fair is good craic, it's noisy & smelly & full of people, but we enjoy it LOL

We usually meet people we haven't seen all year, probably since the last fair! It's in Ballycastle so not that far from us

We went to France for a week, oh it was just lovely to be away somewhere else! Even though the weather wasn't great, but it was nice to be doing different things in a different place. We stayed at a campsite in a mobile home with Keycamp holidays. we loved it! Took the wee ones to Eurodisney.. talk about the queues!!

Anyway, hopefully we will have a meet up soon! Have any of you saw Cremola or Paula about lately? I've not been on much. Have been talking to starfairy though on msn so will direct her to this thread

laloop · 17/08/2007 22:07

Glad you enjoyed your hol, fff2. We did Eurodisney last year, remember the queues well...
Thinking of doing a keycamp holiday next year so good to know that you liked it.

I'm up for a night out if we can get it organised.

Rosylily · 18/08/2007 08:43

I've been to Corrymeela in Ballycastle many times but never been to Lammass fair. In fact, I was standing looking out to Rathlin when Richard Bransons balloon crashed It bounced on Rathlin twice and then landed in the sea iirc.
I've even been to Rathlin a few times and on the way back once we nearly sank! had to bail out the whole way as the waves crashed in, was a tiny boat and we were drenched

I would love a night out aswell but not sure if I could make it yet. I can't get the baby to take a bottle. I'm meant to be going to Take That in october and worrying that I'll not be able to leave him

Anyway I shall persevere and if you guys are meeting up, I'll certainly attempt to come!

laloop · 18/08/2007 11:49

Good Rathlin story, rosy !

Hope the wee one takes a bottle for you soon. I had the same problem with ds2, I bf him for 6 mths and then had to return to work. Took a while but eventually got him to take it, although he would only take 1 or 2oz at a time from it. The NUK bottles were recommended by the HV iirc.

I've got tickets for TakeThat too, think fff2 is going on same night (Monday), which date are your tickets for?

Tamdin · 18/08/2007 12:14

sorry i'm so shit at keeping up with this thread. Just wanted to say hello and hope everyone's well. Can you believe this weather today?! it's so depressing. ds alseep then we'll head out for a while. dh wants to go into belfast but I hate shopping in the rain.

Tamdin · 18/08/2007 17:33

Rosylily · 18/08/2007 22:48
