I do hope that there is someone out there from NI (Co Down specifically) that could meet up. Our Mums and Tots are great, but I would like to organise something a bit different!!!

fireflyfairy2 · 02/03/2007 10:15

Hi cremolafoam

No, My weekend shouldn't involve that much alcohol...

I am going for a meal tomorrow night with my sis & bil & I think I am driving, so no vino for me!

Not sure about Sunday, I have coursework due in on Monday so I will most likely work on that

cremolafoam · 02/03/2007 10:18

Friday night telly is pants these days.can't go out tonight as have to be up early in the morning

redshoesandmoves · 02/03/2007 10:22

Going well cremola.

What about you? What about a real girlie day out for you and dd?!

How old is she?

cremolafoam · 02/03/2007 10:25

11 and would choose to be glued to SIMs on the computer if i didn't organise a distraction. try to limit screen time to an hour a day, but i have let it slip.Friday afternoons always seem long in the winter. she tends to mope about- which drives me mad.
might make a cake or something

fireflyfairy2 · 02/03/2007 10:25

Dh finishes work @ 2pm on a Friday, but by the time he is down from B'fast it's about 2.45. I was suppose to be helping my sis move house today & dh was leaving work early to pick dd up @2pm. But sis isn't moving until next Fri now, & dd is all excited at daddy picking her up... so he is having to leave early anyway!!

Might take them to softplay or something..

laloop · 02/03/2007 10:26

Is it raining where you are cremolafoam? Still dry here but not sure whether to walk ds2 to tots group or drive.

fireflyfairy2 · 02/03/2007 10:27

laloop · 02/03/2007 10:29

cremolafoam · 02/03/2007 10:29

laloop · 02/03/2007 10:31

Cremola, have you made Marslady's lemon drizzle cake before, made it last week totally scrummy!
I had a nice girl's evening out with a friend and our 2 dd's last night, out to Pizza Express. Now have to make up 14pts as have just rejoined weightwatchers.

fireflyfairy2 · 02/03/2007 10:32

What kind of spuds do you grow?

we farm spuds here White, blue, pinks.. standards.. can't remember what else. I don't have that much to do with them, I leave that to dh & his father

redshoesandmoves · 02/03/2007 10:33

Not to bad here, just kinda short showers now & again.

laloop · 02/03/2007 10:33

I would love to have a veg patch but the only space in our garden which I could use is always shaded so not sure if anything would hack it.

laloop · 02/03/2007 10:35

FFF2, can't believe takethat aren't coming here as part of their tour, not fair

fireflyfairy2 · 02/03/2007 10:39

lol

mmmmn lemon drizzle cake sounds good- recipe?

laloop · 02/03/2007 10:45

Here you go cremola, makes a massive cake (or you can halve quantities)

Marslady's Lemon drizzle cake!

12oz SR Flour.
9oz Sugar.
9oz Butter/Marg.
3tsp Baking powder.
6tbsp Milk.
4 Eggs.
zest of 2 Lemons.

Method.

Mix it all together in a large bowl, popit in a large roasting tin about 180 deg oven for 30-35 mins.(Check it cos different ovens cook at different speeds!) When it comes out the oven prick it with a fork.
Squeeze the juice from the two lemons. Heat in microwave for about 20secs. Spoon 3-4 tbsp over the warm cake. Mix the rest with icing sugar to taste. (or mix granulated sugar with cold lemon juice and poor over the cake for a crunchie topping!

Enjoy!!
