Thought I'd be premature and create this thread now.

Currently have this meet up planned:

13th Jan - Miss Tina's in Washington

erm well was botanics mentioned? i tend to get there for 10 when it opens when we go to the botanics because i get shouted at if there is no fish food left. so we could do plodging in the pond, exploring and a picnic.

or beamish?

or wheelbirks? or what is that archers like near darlington?

or hang on someone is dairy free aren't they? so ice cream not so good.

VikingLady · 01/08/2015 11:39

I'm dairy/soy free and reliant on public transport so can't do Beamish, I'm afraid. Botanics is good for us - V likes the pond!

IAmAPaleontologist · 01/08/2015 15:50

botanics then?

VikingLady · 04/08/2015 07:40

So 10 at Botanics then? Can anyone round up any others? Who's coming?

IAmAPaleontologist · 04/08/2015 08:19

I'll be there!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 04/08/2015 11:19

Me!

IAmAPaleontologist · 04/08/2015 20:53

oooh good timing, i just checked our botanics tickets and dd's runs out tomorrow so I'll just have ds1 to pay for. excellent.

VikingLady · 05/08/2015 15:35

Both DCs asleep on the bus, V's wellies drying off next to her. She squelched onto the bus, and her skirt squelched when she sat down Smile

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/08/2015 16:03

can't beat a good splodge in a pond.

A feel asleep going home too, have just managed to wake him with a biscuit so hopefully he will still go to bed tonight!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 05/08/2015 16:36

Lovely day. And we even managed to return home worth the same number of children we came with. Grin

IAmAPaleontologist · 05/08/2015 17:03

Pity when that happens isn't it Spiggy Grin.

I spent £44 at Lidl before going home. I'm going to stop feeding them, expensive blighters.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 10/08/2015 13:16

Can I scream? Dh had his appointment today about his snoring/sleep issues. It's taken me over 10 years to get him to do this. We haven't shared a bedroom for most of the last 8 years because he disturbs my sleep that much. Consultant has refused to do anything because he's "not falling asleep in the day", despite the fact the tests show he had abnormal sleep patterns. I'm alternating between crying and being completely fucking furious. I know that dh has underplayed how bad it is because he doesn't like to make a fuss. Unfortunately this is going to result in more fuss as he'll be going back there, with me in tow to explain exactly how bad it is and pointing out that with 3 children we don't get time to sit down but if we did, we'd both be asleep because his snoring disrupts me ad much as him. Aaaaaargh!

IAmAPaleontologist · 10/08/2015 13:54

ffs! scream as much as you want.

by the way sticky is coming back. this means we need curry right?

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 10/08/2015 16:30

I saw! That definitely requires curry and cocktails. Grin

H had just failed her skin prick. Chances of outgrowing the allergy is now very slim. Feck.

IAmAPaleontologist · 11/08/2015 09:13

Have just signposted a newbie from the local board here.

So sticky is back end of the month so Curry in Sept/Oct time?

nikkinoo28 · 11/08/2015 18:06

Hello Im new here but up for joining a meet up if thats ok?!

VikingLady · 11/08/2015 19:42

Do I know Sticky?

I'm up for another meet up! Can't do a curry/cocktail/evening meet up for a while though. But happy to do more daytime stuff!

Scream loudly Spiggy . You pretty much expect that from a GP (or at least I do) but not the consultant!

IAmAPaleontologist · 11/08/2015 19:55

I have no idea Viking. She's been abroad.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 11/08/2015 20:45

Hello Nikki, we love newbies joining us Smile. I'm spiggy and have 3 monsters children who are 8, 6 and 4.

Curry and cocktails. I'm away 26th sept (early Christmas pressie from parents of fancy pants restaurant meal) and 3rd Oct (I'm leaving the country! Without my children!) But I can do any other weekend in October apart from the 25th which is the dreaded derby game. Want to come Nikki? It is usually cocktails and curry but we have been known to do something different if anyone can be bothered to think of something other than what we normally do (usually only occurs when the capital is fully booked)

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 11/08/2015 20:50

Viking, I'm going to be moving my non working day to a Thursday during term time so can meet up then. During school hols I with have a floating day off depending on what's kicking off at work.

IAmAPaleontologist · 11/08/2015 21:08

As usal I have no idea what will be going on I my life. I'll be on call a lot of the time between sept and Christmas so no alcohol. Will be mainly community though so I should be able to work round most dates. In October dh and ds1 have tickets to a couple of World Cup matches, I know they are down in twickenham on oct 3rd and then might be 25th in Newcastle.

Today I have mostly wanted to kill my children. Thank goodness they are i holiday club tomorrow that's all I can say. Dr is doubling my meds which I suppose may increase my ability to deal with the blighters Hmm but I doubt it.

nikkinoo28 · 11/08/2015 21:18

Hi Spiggy,
Im 29 years old, 26 weeks pregnant and have a 11 year old. I will be up for meet ups but i will just dodge the alcohol! Ha. Im also 30 end of October so unless its when im doing something (again alcohol free) I would love to meet up x

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 11/08/2015 21:21

Monday was my day for wanting to kill the children. I may have told them that I needed them to not talk at me until the metro got home. Today was better small at Nursery, big and middle playing out although I did spend an indecent amount in Sainsbury's. I have remembered why I instigated the"no children to assist with shopping" rule.

Hope the meds kick in soon. Chin up, you are doing a fantastic job with them even if you don't feel like it at the moment.

IAmAPaleontologist · 11/08/2015 21:37

i spend far too much when i have the oiks. took them to lidl today. bought chocolate, sweets, hot dog sausages, doughnuts and drawing paper. plus too much fruit and veg given that we are going away on Saturday so don't need as much as usual but W wanted corn on the cob, D wanted peaches , A wanted plums and apples. ....i just kept shoving stuff in the trolley while a lady of a certain age pissed herself laughing and A yelled random nonsense at the top of his voice and D used an even louder voice to tell him to be quiet. so of course he got louder.

Norfolk soon! need to pack at some point. then holiday. i shall do no work.
