Thought I'd be premature and create this thread now.

Currently have this meet up planned:

13th Jan - Miss Tina's in Washington

Harrumph for being poorly. I honked of curry today and had to wash everything I had on last night evenmy coat. It was more than worth it though!

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 29/03/2015 18:09

Glad you're feeling better, sorry you missed out on the food! Was lovely meeting up with you all Smile

VikingLady · 08/04/2015 19:42

Had it! Not the idyllic hb I'd planned, but we're alive

juneybean · 08/04/2015 19:45

"It" poor boy! Is there a birth story forthcoming?!

OP posts:
VikingLady · 08/04/2015 20:05

Not really - I don't think it's a very cheerful one! And currently in the middle of V having a massive tantrum/rejection issue.

juneybean · 08/04/2015 20:07

Oh no :(

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 08/04/2015 20:10

squee! New baby!

Sorry it didn't all go smoothly. V not keen on sharing boobies then?!

VikingLady · 08/04/2015 20:30

Not keen on me mooing in the living room, being abandoned overnight as I went into hospital, then me still not being fun mummy when I got home. Plus tiny baby jealousy.

VikingLady · 08/04/2015 20:38

Tiny baby is pretty nice though Grin

Over 8lb, boy, just wants to feed and sleep. Ideal really!

juneybean · 08/04/2015 20:45

Long may the just wanting to fed and sleep last.

Big change for v. give it a while couple of years and they'll be partners in crime...

VikingLady · 09/04/2015 21:01

Hope so! Poor V Smile but she's got tons of presents out of it!

Off to bed in the hope of sleep. T is now fully boob-monster

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 14/04/2015 11:43

Belated congratulations Viking! Sorry to hear you had a difficult time. Hope you are recovering well and things are going ok with V and, of course, with the new arrival!

IAmAPaleontologist · 17/04/2015 10:50

So does tiny baby mean we need cake and cuddles?

VikingLady · 17/04/2015 11:27

Sounds nice, as soon as V has settled down enough to be safe on the journey! She's not a happy bunny and I'm not yet up to chasing her across station platforms!

IAmAPaleontologist · 18/04/2015 08:15

We can always come your way.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 18/04/2015 09:52

Ooh yes, we can come your way. Distance no object when there's a baby to cuddle. Grin

VikingLady · 18/04/2015 15:23

It's just where I can handle V! It needs to be somewhere secure but not a soft play as she's turned into a bolter but wants me to go on equipment with her. Which is soooo not happening Confused

I reckon I can get her to Durham in the next week or two, or even Newcastle. Any ideas where? Pm only as we're doing nursery every morning at the moment (ASD observations are starting)

IAmAPaleontologist · 18/04/2015 15:30

It would be a lot bit of a trek for you all but Lanchester garden centre is brilliant. I wonder if any of you know of somewhere similar that is a bit more central? It is a garden centre with cafe but it has a poly tunnel set up as a play tunnel so it is easy to police as we can sit near the door but the dc can run around and play and are well contained. It has 3 big wooden playhouses/castles of the summer house type size, lots of rids ons, a load of brio, sand table and various other things. You can buy cake and drinks at the takeaway counter and then sit in the tunnel. Cheap too, costs me under £5 to get cake and drinks for me and my 3.

Just very local to me and therefore nowhere near any of the rest of you :(

IAmAPaleontologist · 18/04/2015 15:31

And would need someone to give VL a lift.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 19/04/2015 20:07

Are we talking week day or weekend? I'm owed a shed load of time off and I'm officially down to 1 full time job (hurrah!) so in theory I can take it. Happy to do lifts if needed.

IAmAPaleontologist · 19/04/2015 20:30

Excellent spiffy. I have no idea. I'm rabbiting on but you know what I'm like for making daytime meets at the moment.

VikingLady · 28/04/2015 11:09

We've moved house! It's now ours and we don't waste rent! We may well never manage to unpack everything and I'm selling a LOT on FB, but it's our house! So excited it's ridiculous.

I'm reluctant to take V out of nursery for a day now she's started. She does mornings and loves it, and she needs the stability now everything has changed, but I'll take her out if a meet up would include other toddlers to play with? Otherwise I can really only do pm or weekends, sorry. She loves nursery Smile

VikingLady · 28/04/2015 11:10

But I'm very happy to hand him over for cuddles! Poor T is not a pfb....

juneybean · 28/04/2015 14:00

I'm very glad she loves nursery!
