Good news- we passed the first stage assessment with social services. Even better news- they decided the baby could stay with the parents with us as back up so we are NOT getting another baby, although we will be doing respite.

Bad news- Work is being its usual hectic chaos but I've got leave owed to me and I'm determined to take it. Hopefully not like Wed when I was supposedly on leave and did 6 hours work and a teleconference .

Botanics sounds like a plan. Not sure what days I've got off at the moment. Will check but am refusing to turn the blackberry on this weekend so can't check my diary.

oh dear I'm terrible. but I'm now on holiday! though i have a dissertation to write and a heck of a lot of work to catch up on. will attempt to coordinate things, would be good to see you all.

Cool - a meet up! With people whose kids won't beat the crap out of my DD! It's been a loooooong week. And it's only Wednesday.

Seriously, what is it about my DD that inspires every other kid to want to hurt her? She's three. Even one year olds come up to her just to punch her and run away.

Mine are relatively good with other children. with each other it's another matter...

A is in a hitting phase better than his biting phase i suppose. they are quite nice as a general rule though.

Siblings don't count! Otherwise 95% of all siblings would be taken into care!

No worries. It's the persistent hitting/bullying I worry about, not one offs that she can see being dealt with. I'm considered mc and faintly ridiculous for worrying she will grow up assuming it's ok for males to be violent towards her if they don't get reprimanded in front of her

So, do we have a plan for next week? Someone needs to think of a plan. And I can't think because I've just worked 2 12 hour days and my brain hurts from thinking (although not as much as my wrist hurts from working on trains. Who knew that all those display screen risk assessments were stuff that you should really pay attention to? Fecking rsi.)
