Hi. If you're still fed up and bored, count me in!! I am mum to 1 dd 3 and live in Lee too. If you're still out there get in touch!

chocolatefudge · 21/07/2006 19:51

Hi I'm in Fareham - Whiteley am bored too only moved here in Jan this year.
If you want to meet next week let me know.
I have 2 dd nearly 2.5 and dd 7 months.

How old are you by the way?

slowly · 21/07/2006 20:37

Hi. Would be great to meet up. We used to live in Whiteley and my dh still works up there. I'm 31, what about you?

chocolatefudge · 21/07/2006 20:53

Hi Slowly,

I'm 32 we've been to Lee on Solent once before it's nice there. Why did you move from Whiteley?

Is you DD at nursery school yet?

sparklemagic · 21/07/2006 21:23

Hi, I'm in lee as well, moved here in January! I have a DS, 3 - almost 4.

count me in Dunnyjo and everyone!

GarfieldsGirl · 21/07/2006 21:28

Hiya. Put me down as a maybe!

I'm only in Portsmouth and my parents are at Stokes Bay.

I have ds1 - nearly 5
ds2 - 8mths

sparklemagic · 21/07/2006 21:40

we LOVE stokes bay, the paddling pool is great! Have you been there GG?

slowly · 21/07/2006 21:49

Hi everyone! A great response considering poor dunnyjo went for ages with no replies, hope you log back on soon!
chocolatefudge - we just wanted a bigger house when we moved from whiteley and there just wasn't much about there, so we saw an advert for new houses in lee and went to have a look. We are quite impulsive house buyers. Moved to whiteley start to finish in 3 weeks and then to lee start to finish in 6 weeks!! DD goes to nursery school in fareham and will be going every morning from september, so looking forward to plenty of me time!
With all this interest would be great to do a big get to meet each other next week then, with garfieldsgirl being in pompey, whiteley would be an idea place as there is a nice green and play area there (assuming the nice weather continues!) Let me know what you all think ?

GarfieldsGirl · 21/07/2006 22:02

sparkle - my mum takes ds1 down to the paddling pool and the new play area down there when she has him. (I say new, its probably been there a while now though!)

slowly - Whiteley sounds good to me, shouldn't get too lost! Can't do Monday or Wednesday next week.

chocolatefudge · 21/07/2006 22:05

Hi Slowly and everyone else

What about next Monday or Tuesday afternoon? at the park in Whiteley it's the one near the leisure center isn't it?

Who will be coming?

slowly · 21/07/2006 22:12

Hi All,
We are free both, but looks like Tuesday afternoon is best ? What time are you thinking. DD is in her holiday club until 1, so I apologise in advance if she is grumpy and tired!!

chocolatefudge · 21/07/2006 22:16

What about 2pm? is that ok with everyone if not we can make it another day.

chocolatefudge · 21/07/2006 22:18

Does she still have her afternoon nap? Jenny sometimes has a nap it's been quite often recently with the hot weather as she stopped for a while.

slowly · 21/07/2006 22:19

Thats fine with me. I should be able to get dd to have a sleep in the car on the way! Again, can change the day to suit.

slowly · 21/07/2006 22:21

CF - she can go without now, just in a better mood with!!

sparklemagic · 21/07/2006 22:34

I could do Tuesday afternoon as well...

GarfieldsGirl · 21/07/2006 22:40

Tues pm good with me. Is the leisure centre signposted well?

sparklemagic · 21/07/2006 23:04

well, I am thinking that its the one just behind the whitely shops, am I right?

slowly · 22/07/2006 07:41

Next to the leisure centre is a big green/field and over the other side of that is a small play area. That's where we are thinking I think!. Yes, the leisure centre is signposted. If we met down by the leisure centre it would probably be easier to find each other ?

sparklemagic · 22/07/2006 09:37

sounds good to me!

chocolatefudge · 22/07/2006 10:29

Yes it is near the leisure centre or you could park near Tesco - go right past Tesco and park along the road where the 3rd turning is you'll see new Bovis homes there turn 1st left then 1st turn left again you'll see the field in front of you as you walk down the park is on the right. It's quicker there to walk to.

Or we could meet at the leisure centre car park?

slowly · 22/07/2006 10:44

Morning!
I just think for ease of meeting up the first time, the leisure centre car park will be better. Hopefully less mums and kids hanging around, so we'll be more obvious to each other and won't get strange looks when we approach people asking about mumsnet!!!

GarfieldsGirl · 22/07/2006 18:59

lol slowly, at walking up to random people questioning them about MN! Oh the sideways looks we'd get!

So are we set at 2pm, Tuesday, leisure centre car park?

GarfieldsGirl · 22/07/2006 19:02

and Dunnyjo, where are you?????
