Happy Bonfire Night To You All !!!!!!!!!!!!
Just arrived home from a Fab display - 1st time DD was fearlesss and enjoyed every minute. ~ The candy floss and sugar dummy helped - along with a light up headband and a furry flashing wand thingy. cost us a bomb but worth it.
Hope you all had a good time.

BROWNY · 07/11/2006 21:16

Hi, hope everyone's o.k.

Well for my news.....

No, I'm not pregnant!!!

We've got a puppy!! I must be mad!!!!

A lad knocked on our door on Saturday and asked if we'd give a pup a home and then he brought it out from under his coat!! Well, of course, the children were all pleading, dh was with me in the living room and he said, "it's up to your mum", well, I couldn't say no!! So, off to Asda we went to buy puppy food, puppy milk and toys. She was yelping at 1.45 a.m. Sunday morning, so guess who was up in the middle of the night, cuddling a little pup?!!!!, I felt like I was getting up with a newborn baby all over again!!

Our cat has got a huge cob-on and refuses to come downstairs and she actually smacked the pup on her nose today, (well at least she kept her claws in).

Klazzy, sounds like you and your dd has loads of fun on bonfire night, it is lovely to see them so happy with their flashing toys when it's so dark! I stayed at home with my two year old son, who is petrified of fireworks and our new pup. Although I was disappointed to miss out on the display, it was lovely getting lots of cuddles from my little boy with our new pup asleep on my feet!.

biglips · 07/11/2006 21:21

you nearly had me going there Browny!!!! but then again its more or less is a newborn - hee hee!! good luck and lots of walkies!!!!!

We went to a fireworks display and DD wasnt quite sure about it all, was only happy if the hood stayed up on her pram and her arms wrapped round my head tightly!! stayed out for an hour and it was enough in the end for her..so we watched the rest thru the window at home..DD kept on saying "BANG!" "More BANG!"

We are getting a brand new boiler from Warmfront as i stayed in all day as waited from 8am and they came at 4pm!....i managed to scrubbed, clean and tidy up whilst DD was making a bombsite in the living room!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BIGLIPS, she's told me she's 18 today, but I think she might be telling porkies!!

Have a lovely day today and hope your dp buys you something lovely!.

gunpowderjaamyandplot · 08/11/2006 21:44

Oh BL, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!
Hope you had a lovely day and are enjoying your pressie - a new boiler!!
Browny - A puppy! Congratulations! J will be so jealous when I tell her.
We didn't do anything for bonfire night. J is too scared of the bangs. Wouldn't even go outside to watch some quiet ones that DH had bought. She even had an accident she was so scared. Poor little thing. Sounds like you all managed to enjoy the night - especially the cuddles, Browny.
Klazzy - looking forward to when J is fearless, well done your DD!

biglips · 08/11/2006 21:47

thanks everyone

had a lovely night with Dp, Just got home..went out for a meal and also nipped into Asda and Dp bought me a box of chocs (saying that i'd better go and check on him!! )

biglips we got that keyboard for adam last year and he loves it..still played with most days and now H sings into the microphone at the same time as he bashes away...very cute!!!

jaamy · 16/11/2006 20:52

Nemo - you could make some money out of them - quick while they're young and cute and don't understand the contract!
Would it surprise anyone to hear that I haven't even started CHristmas shopping...starting to panic! Think we're getting J a bike and have absolutely no idea for A - she already has everything that J had...

BROWNY · 16/11/2006 22:49

Jaamy, don't worry you're not the only one who hasn't even thought about starting xmas shopping. I met a neighbour coming back from shopping today, she had armfuls of carrier bags and wrapping paper and she proudly told me that she's finished her Xmas shopping!

stoppinattwo · 16/11/2006 23:13

at anyone who has finished xmas shopping

jaamy · 17/11/2006 10:21

Every year I say I don't want to start buying too soon because I'll end up buying too much. In the end I panic buy and end up spending too much anyway...much to DH's delight.

biglips · 18/11/2006 22:07

Jaamy, I replied to the e-mail that you sent to my yahoo address, but it bounced back to me .

jaamy · 19/11/2006 12:39

Just to let you know that we're not going to make it to Stoppin's M's party...
Have phoned stoppin to let her know but just thought I'd come on here for a moan! Really really fed up with this cold and more upset for J who had to miss a party last sunday too. Decided to stay away as not fair to spread our germs amongst friends. Will go somewhere where we don't know the people we are infecting, instead! LOL [evil]
Hope to see you all soon.
T x
