apsmum · 27/07/2006 21:54

am sure u all had a fab evening...... Missed the transport chaos though...being still at work whe most people we struggling to get home.....

MrsBigD · 28/07/2006 07:55

apsmum, shame you couldn't make it. Poor Yanks was sitting there waiting for us. I struggled in closer to 2000 and then the others showed shortly after. A bit of rain and public transport goes belly up! grrrr

Hope you all got home alright

Uwila · 28/07/2006 08:10

Yes, had a lovely time. Hopefully, we won'tt get rain on for the next one.

Speaking of which....... where shall we go? How about August 10 or 24?

MrsBigD · 28/07/2006 08:21

August 24 is good for me. Can't really go out on 10th as I'm flying out 11th for a looooooong weekend stranding dh with the kids

Nanou1 · 28/07/2006 09:46

hi guys. lovely to see you all last night. did me a world of good.can't do either 10 or 24 as i shall be on hols. so will have to be the one after that. uwila... got home at midnight last night thinking i would never be able to get up at 5am. how do you do it?!

Uwila · 28/07/2006 09:56

Well, I hit the snooze until about 5:40 today. So, I must confess I failed to rise on time today.

MrsBigD · 28/07/2006 10:31

I was raised from my snooze by being hit by Leon at 5:30

OP posts:
Uwila · 28/07/2006 11:06

Did you hit him back?

MrsBigD · 28/07/2006 11:10

worse... I tried to put him back into his bed which resulted in major screaming and temper tantrum. So at least it wasn't just me who was awake but also the neighbours I'm sure

OP posts:
Uwila · 28/07/2006 11:41

Ah well... at least you were able to share your misery with the neighbors.

MrsRecycle · 28/07/2006 12:18

Am so tired and they're trying to drag me down the pub (it's my last day ).

Thanks for last night - nice to meet you Nanou1 & Sue. Sorry can't do next meet up (will be on holidays/have a 2 day old to look after).

Uwila · 28/07/2006 12:27

Don't blame you, MrsR. Don't think you would have found me out partying until 11:30+ on a work night when I was 8+ months pregnant. And if you did, you probably wouldn't have found me at work in the morning.

Nanou1 · 28/07/2006 12:37

have only just managed to get the PCs working again.... aaagggrrrhhhh. was lovely to meet you too mrs recycle and sue. am so very impressed with your stamina MrsR!!! what's your secret?! sorry MrsBigD but i laughed out loud at your extremely inconsiderate boy's wake up call this morning . tough if it had been my dd i think all sorts of non repeatable stuff would have gone through my head . found my dd asleep in bed wearing her tutu over her pyjamas as dh gave up on trying to reason with her that ballerinas do not sleep with their tutus.... it was hell brake loose apparently!

MrsBigD · 28/07/2006 13:03

Nanou1 I did have rather unfavourable wording in my head ... as for the tutu in bed, been there done that... easier to just let them if you want some peace

OP posts:
Uwila · 28/07/2006 13:08

Oh, don't you dare tell my DD that anyone is ever allowed to sleep in anything but the pyjamas which one was wearing when they first went to bed. Thankfully, she woke up in the same pyjamas shore wore to bed last night.

MrsBigD · 28/07/2006 13:16

and wouldn't be lying either dd refused to take off her fairy costume at bed time so those sort of were the pj's she was wearing when she went to bed

OP posts:
Uwila · 28/07/2006 13:29

Oh, no, you can't reclassify items of clothing as pyjamas... or she shouldn't be wearing them during the day. Hmmmm... am I too rigid? Is this why she protests be redressing in the middle of the night?

MrsBigD · 28/07/2006 13:45

don't know whether you're to rigid . However I'm guilty of putting ds into bed still wearing his day t-shirt because he fell asleep before I got round to changing him and don't want to wake him up. My motto... as long as they're comfortable ...

OP posts:
Uwila · 28/07/2006 13:53

Oh yes, I do that too.

MrsBigD · 28/07/2006 16:27

OK let's organise August

August Meet-up
