So.... there don't appear to be very many confimations on here.... uh oh....

Wonder if Nanou still remembers? Of course, there's still plenty of time to forget.

I'll definitely be there, I can give you a lift if you can make it Tutter, as I ought to be home early that day (board meeting on an easier side of town for me so should be home by 6.30).

MrsBigD · 18/07/2006 11:42

SJ you high flyer you! Board meetings ... I'm feeling very inadequate now .

I guess that's why I keep meeting with all of you... still hoping that Uwila and YanksUponThames's well informed brains will rub off on me 'teeeheeheee'. I wish I could find the time to keep myself informed!

Before you get too carried away imagining board meetings at the Savoy and minions to-ing and fro-ing, carrying coffee and small delicacies to tempt the palate of the important people in the board meeting... there 20 of us in the company and I have no office, just a corner of a basement near Spittalfields. (And no air-con either).

We only have board meetings in Mayfair because our investors are based there and we are so unimportant that we go to them rather than them coming to us!

MrsBigD · 18/07/2006 12:19

awww there bursts my bubble

OP posts:
suejonez · 18/07/2006 12:23

I used to be VERY important though, biscuits and everything and budget meetings in New York and bottles of mineral water in my office. DOes that make you feel better?

MrsBigD · 18/07/2006 12:35

much better

OP posts:
Uwila · 18/07/2006 12:38

I have air-con.

suejonez · 18/07/2006 12:39

Show off.

I have pinched a fan today. Hah! I'm finance director I'll do what I bloody like, let the others sweat.

Uwila · 18/07/2006 12:39

But, they'd NEVER NEVER NEVER let me into a board meeting.

You are in a sad state if you are looking to get a piece of my measly brainwaves.

suejonez · 18/07/2006 12:40

How was Kaz? Lots of mozzies?

Uwila · 18/07/2006 12:41

So, Sue, what does your company do? [nosey emoticon]

Uwila · 18/07/2006 12:43

You know, I was warned and warned about the mozzies. And I don't think I saw a single one. It took me two fricken days to work out where to get a proper Diet Coke. But, other than that, it was a good trip. Middle of nowhere booming into the wester wealth of oil. Intersting to see these two worlds meet.

suejonez · 18/07/2006 12:43

Used to be in advertising, dahling (when I was important).

Current company does online data collection and email broadcast. in return for promising people something - competition entries, vouchers for free meals etc they give us data about themselves and we sell it to companies. But people giving us data have to agree that we can pass it on - we're a reputable company, I'll have you know.

MrsBigD · 18/07/2006 12:45

MrsBigD · 18/07/2006 12:45

Uwila... great minds LOL

OP posts:
Uwila · 18/07/2006 12:46

Uwila · 18/07/2006 12:46
