Thought I would start a new thread as the old one is getting full.

Next meet up is on Wednesday 10th April, 10ish at the Durham Botanical Gardens. We will either be in the entrance or staking a couple of the picnic tables by the pond.
I will be giving Vikinglady a lift.

How's it all going? Are you enjoying it?

In the main, yes. We MUST sort out seeing each other SPB. I shall try to get my head around it. Need to make sure I keep seeing you and other village friends and children, something with kids and something without kids every few weeks! Really, really missing people. Has been so crazy though trying to settle into stuff and get children settled into new routine. But that's no excuse really, the children need to see their friends too, I know they are missing the days playing in the park after school and stuff. Where possible on days I'm studying at home I'm going to try to pick up from school and play in the park if you are able to join us then that would be lovely. Otherwise weekends of course though I end up studying a lot. Would be easier if ds2 bloody well slept of an evening so I could work! I really, really, really, absolutely ADORE bf him still. Seriously LOVE it at the moment but honestly right now something has to give and sometime I wonder if that's going to be it. Except of course it might not work and then I'd have given up something wonderful and still not have a sleeping child.

Next quiz is 17th May so I need to try to get everyone together as we all missed the last one and get us booked in.

Anyway I shall see you Saturday though I know we won't really get the chance to talk much!

Oh and SPB, birthday present for T, I have various Lego things and 3 small boys to divide it between. Does T have any of the following?

Lego brickmaster Atlantis
Lego brickmaster City
Lego City sticker book
Lego minifigure sticker book
Small Lego City set (number 4436) the one with police car and barrier.

You are very organised, you know how useless I am about meeting up :( Definitely will make plans soon - trying to think when I next have time off, right got to dash, just had a work call as I was off out to collect children!

Sorry, you askedabout lego. I don't think he has any of those exactly however he does have a lego ninjago character encyclopedia (Hmm) which sounds like it might be similar? and a lego police car at Grandma's. He does love lego :o

Report
Indith · 25/04/2013 20:56

Excellent. Nothing similar so that's nice and easy! Encyclopedias are great, ds1 has the lego star wars one and reads it for hours on end Grin

SPB you are fabulous. Have had a much needed cake break. Who did you get to do it? It looked brilliant, tastes rather good too!

Back to the essay.

:o Glad you liked it, hope it's helped with the essay!
It was the cake place in Langley Moor. Am quite Angry that not one person assumed I made it - everyone asked "where did you get that from?"
Maybe they've seen my previous efforts.... :o

Indith · 28/04/2013 20:31

Well your skills were praised you know, people said things like "SPB is a very good baker.....but I don't think she made that one." And you are a very good baker. Must say I missed the annual "help! Ds wants THIS for his birthday cake!" thread Grin. I even managed to refrain from asking if that was what one of your cakes looked like when you let it cool down before icing Wink.

It must have helped with the essay. A few referencing tidy up jobs (read: how the fuck do I reference that) to do and a conclusion to write in under 80 words because that is all I have left. It is a STUPID essay and I hate it. The summative version is the same bloody title just 1000 words longer. I ahve focused on 3 areas and left myself with stuff to put into each of them for expansion so hopefully it will be quite easily written and involve less swearing. I'm off now to eat more cake make my lunch for tomorrow and pack my bag.

Have been spectacularly shit at sorting out Daniel's passport renewel, with the result that I will be phoning to make an appointment at the passport office as we are going abroad in just over 4 weeks Shock
Fuck. Just what we needed especially as financially things have been pretty fucking tight since just after Christmas. Hopefully though in the next few months we will be back on track.
Anyway once I get an appointment will arrange meet up for cakey goodness (I have a feeling I wil need it!)

Did someone say cake? I'd kill for some cake. Instead I'm on the stupid o'clock train to London so will have to make do with overpriced hot chocolate and random stuff from the trolley.

Sympathies on the passport. They are ridiculously expensive. Fil offered to pay for us to go abroad but the cost of 5 passports meant that we had to say no. Sad

Don't get the shortbread, I was so disappointed on East Coast with the shortbread :(

Hot chocolate was nice. Now on my way to Nottingham so will have to sample east midlands trains' trolley selection. Ooh the glamourous life I leadGrin

Ooops Kara. Oh well, it isn't that much more expensive.

Last time we went to France we had to get 3 passports. Was hideous. Mine has run out now and I should really renew as Mamie in France is old and failing rather so I need one in case of last min travel. But the nagging money saver part of me doesn't want to as it feels like a waste Hmm. Must do it. And countless other things.

Ds2 teething horribly.

And dd has had loads of soft and squishy and sometimes runny poo since Thursday. No obvious reason, no obvious trigger, she isn't ill.....it is like she has toddler diarrhea Hmm.

ds2 asleep on me, am going to attempt to put him down. Need to organise my notes tonight, find the council tax reduction certificate (benefit of being a student!) and do my action plan for my file. That's my minimum list for tonight.

Ds2 had the poo thing. He's fine in himself but doing 7 poos a day. Luckily Nursery haven't banned him...

How's the hunt for a second car going?

7 poos a day Shock

Spoke to passport office they have said I do have enough time to do the post office route, they are processing applications very quickly.
Phew!!
Hope the course is still going well!
what about visiting Botanics on Monday? or will it be hideously busy?

They are small poos, soft but not too runny so it isn't too bad. Just annoying when you have to change him for the umpteenth time that day. delightful topic for teatime

Indith · 29/04/2013 19:30

Oh good, fingers crossed you get it all done on time.

FIL is going to be here monday I think, hoping the weather nice to go to the beach.

7 poos, pah, dd can beat that. Trouble is the need is very urgent so most end up in her clothes and running down her legs. I is like weaning poo, you can see bits of undigested food in it. Is 4 not a bit old for toddler diarrhea?

Indith · 29/04/2013 19:31

The teething one by the way is awake again and feeding. And I have looked in every pile of crap in the house and I can't find my certificate. The admin office will believe me if I tell them the council lost it and want to see another copy right?

Bet they get asked for duplicates all the time. They'll just roll their eyes at you and think you are a feckless student Grin

This hotel bed certainly beats the last one. I can sleep horizontally and not touch the sides. I have retired to bed with a chocolate orange and am going to watch CSI and NCIS until I fall asleep about 8.30 I reckon I could get used to this. Grin

He's started taking a sippy cup of milk off dh when he wakes up at 6. This is gooood.

He is still up a couple of times a night though as his eczema is horrendous at the moment. My poor baby looks like he's been burned all over Sad
