Thought I would start a new thread as the old one is getting full.

Next meet up is on Wednesday 10th April, 10ish at the Durham Botanical Gardens. We will either be in the entrance or staking a couple of the picnic tables by the pond.
I will be giving Vikinglady a lift.

HALF TERM MEET UP!

Which weekend, the first one or the last one?

With kids or without?

Daytime or evening? Even without kids could do a nice adult boozy sociable lunch.

I miss you all!

ArrowofApollo · 08/05/2013 15:43

I can't do the end of the week as we will be in Spain.
Can do beginning of the week. Though going out in the evening is proving difficult as C doesn't go to sleep until 8pm.

We miss you too Grin

Will have to check the football times for any non child friendly activities. Dh has been a star looking after things while I've been out and about that I think he deserves his football time uninterrupted Grin

Indith · 08/05/2013 18:03
Grin
spiffysquiffyspiggy · 08/05/2013 18:56

I'm not going to tell him I've mellowed on the football. Don't want him getting used to it Wink

Had a nice night out last night. It turned out that 7 of us from Newcastle and Glasgow offices were staying in the same hotel so we had a bit of a get together till chucking out time

Indith · 08/05/2013 19:24

you are going to miss this travel lark when it is over!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 08/05/2013 19:36

Oh it has been nice not having to worry about getting the train back home in time for feeding time. Means i can stay until the work is done rather than pick it up at a different time so I get some down time, not just travelling, feeding and work. T seems ok with the arrangements as well. Boob when I'm around and cows milk when I'm not. No tears about it. Probably good timing as daddy is the favourite at the moment traitorous child Grin

Indith · 08/05/2013 19:43

I'd love to get to that point feeding. ds1 stopped early. nicely and gradually but early. dd I stopped as I couldn't cope. s2 I don't know....mostly he is ok if I'm out for the evening but past 10,pm I'd be pushing it. he was better when smaller! if he isn't teething though at half term we are attempting night weaning again given that placement is next month! in the day we are happily at boob with me and just food and water other times. he likes to feed after lunch still at weekends.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 08/05/2013 19:49

I can't think that t is getting much now as I've not been getting too full while away. I've expressed at night but not had to in the morning. Just getting into Newcastle and not feed him since Monday night and I feel a little full but not uncomfortable still going to clatter around outside his bedroom in the hope he wakes up though

Indith · 08/05/2013 20:11

Don't complain! I felt lik eI had settled down the past week, wasn't uncomfortable at teh end of today then today I was so engorged and in pain from around 3/4pm onwards. By the time I picked the oiks up I couldn't hold A without flinching and by bath time every time one of the children so much as brushed my breasts I had to bite my tongue to keep from yelling.

Indith · 08/05/2013 20:12

And my arm is sore because I had my first hep b today.

An dI have a cold.

And I have a whole load of anatomy to do and I DON'T WANT TO!

I want to wallow in self pity and chocolate.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 09/05/2013 07:06

Argh. T asleep and has been all night. I NEED TO FEED HIM!!

The little blighter had perfect timing when it comes to picking his rare sleeping thoughsHmm

Hope you feeling better this morning Indith. You don't really want to wallow in chocolate. It would be awfully messy and you'd be finding bits for weeks afterwards. Far better to wallow in self pity and eat the chocolateGrin

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 09/05/2013 08:50

Indith do your work (if you havent already)
Yay to t sleeping through but sorry about the sore boobs hopefully hes woken now and youre feeding
I have a new phone and strugling with punctuatiin

VikingLady · 09/05/2013 19:23

Am very much up for Adventure Point on 21st! We like to try and get there as soon as it opens so V can play without other parents getting in the way, but very happy to bring in guests if they are ok with that!

Indith, I sympathise with the engorgement - I was away from V a couple of weeks ago and by the first evening my bra was agony and my boobs appeared to have been replaced with cauliflowers!

ArrowofApollo · 09/05/2013 21:26

Cool, Viking, will head up as soon as I drop the boy at school.

One of DS's friends is having a birthday party and DS and DD are invited but it is on the 25th. DH will take them though I might suggest if he doesn't want to stay to just drop DS off. We do have DSS up that weekend which may slightly complicate things. However I should still be able to come up for lunch.

1st June. Curry. Please, please pretty please?

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 11/05/2013 20:52

I definitely can't sorry :(
Can possibly do later in June (although I know we're away another weekend mid June too) or if the others can make that day then leave me out?

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 11/05/2013 20:53

Should be able to do quiz though :) sure that's a great comfort

Indith · 11/05/2013 21:07

Ack. Shall wait on a few others and see. I can't do the first weekend of half term now and I am feeling selfish and in need of a night out as dh seems to have fecked off somewhere. He was out last weekend for curry with mates. Out last night rowing in preparation for a race today. Won first round this afternoon, very pleased for him. So he had to race again. I took dcs home to feed them and he still isn't bloody well home! I had plans for tonight. Some of them involved eating. But it was late when I got back with oiks so I did quick stir fry for them and put them to bed. Ds2 has refused to let go of my nipple. a few mins ago I took him off and he screamed while I made spaghetti hoops on un toasted toast (toaster refused to work). So I have eaten a bit but still hungry!

So I am feeling pissed off Grin

I was supposed to be having a bath tonight. Fire kept in today for that purpose. Baths have to be planned in summer as can't get enough water hot enough for a full bath with immersion heater.

Rubbish.

No dinner, no bath.

I suspect another round or 2 may have been won and they are celebrating.

So I'll have a pissed dh to deal with.

The fucker can sod off and sleep in the loft. I'm not adding a smelly, snoring bloke to my usual wriggly bed partner.

Indith · 11/05/2013 21:07

Quiz good though!

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 11/05/2013 21:08

you definitely deserve a night out!

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 11/05/2013 21:13

Curry? I'm in! Grin

Just arranged to meet a couple of friends from uni and asked dh of he'd meet one of them. He said that he had just after we started going out and D had given dh a stern warning that he'd be in big trouble if he ever upset me. I've been Grin all day. totally going to take the piss out of my "big brother" when I see him

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 11/05/2013 21:16

X post. Hope you will deposit 3 small children on him very early in the morning.

Indith · 11/05/2013 21:24

ds2 hits his fussiest time around 4:30am. if of course I can safely leave him at that point.

spiffysquiffyspiggy · 11/05/2013 21:29

Entirely justifiable.

Shall we start planning your birthday weekend away now?
