It's January and I'm feeling adventurous.....anyone fancy meeting up? Maybe in Crouch End or Regent's Park?

Eek! I mean Tuesday 10 Feb!

Baby-brain!

suzywong · 19/01/2004 14:39

10th Feb thirded, good for me too,
Golder's Hill, there's an idea or are we agreed for certain on Regents Park?

Welshmum · 19/01/2004 16:56

I can't come if it's a Tuesday so maybe we should have 2? The other meet up on a Friday - or is that just not worth pursuing?

sure it is
those of us with unpredictable toddlers may appreciate a second chance

Posey · 19/01/2004 19:20

I can do tues 10th, or any Fridays.
Shall we make a definite date for the 10th?
Time? Place?
Morning, sort of 10.30ish?
Not sure where abouts in Regents Park would be good.

suzywong · 19/01/2004 19:22

It will have to be somewhere away from the ponds or lakes so we all get a chance to take one eye off the kids so to speak.

When I have got more time I'll set a link up to a map of the park and we can decide then, IYSWIM

Davros · 19/01/2004 21:45

I'm game for the 10th. I think the cafe in GOlders Hill Park is still shut but the Bull & Bush has a very big family room I'm happy to go to Regents Park, Golders Hill, Kenwood, Highgate Woods etc etc. Someone decide!

bundle · 20/01/2004 17:27

happy to go anywhere, but only Mon or Fri, weather is pretty shocking, so I assume an indoor venue is more likely?

prettycandles · 21/01/2004 15:02

The Bull and Bush used to be lovely and olde worlde, with an excellent reading room/dining room. Last time I visited it I turned right around and came out again because it had been turned into a 'trendy winebar'. So are you referring to it now or then, Davros? I don't know what they might have done to the reading room. The advantage of the OB&B is that it has a carpark and the Heath.

Davros · 22/01/2004 21:47

So, what is the Verdicchio? Tues 10th at 10.30am somewhere in Regents Park? Same day or a Monday or Friday in RP, Kenwood or GOlders Hill Park??
I hadn't been in the Bull & Bush for over 20 years and then only once so can't comment on changes but I think the "family room" must be the former reading room....

suzywong · 29/01/2004 17:39

Resurrection
What about the Sobell Centre soft play / indoor gym
It's that hideous sports centre round the back of Holloway Road near Waitrose.
OK so it's hardly Cafe Rouge but the kids could go bonkers in another room and we could at least snatch bits of conversation.

Or have you already met up and not told me

Come on North Londoners, everyone else around the country has met up, let's not live up to the stereotype of unfriendly Londoners!

suzywong · 29/01/2004 18:53

there's plenty of parking

suzywong · 29/01/2004 20:38

and it'squite near the tube

Posey · 29/01/2004 20:43

Suzy, great idea as far as I'm concerned. Dd and all her classmates have their birthday parties there so ds is very familiar with it (as am I)
Name a time and date and I'll be there (except for Thursday afternoons)
Come on the rest of you, lets get meeting up

suzywong · 29/01/2004 21:05

Thank you Posey
Was beginning to think I was kiss of death.
If this doesn't come off and you fancy a trip please email me
What the hell email me anyway!

suzywong · 29/01/2004 22:47

bump

hoxtonchick · 29/01/2004 23:01

Sounds good to me, I even know where it is. Are we still going for Tuesday 10th?

suzywong · 29/01/2004 23:04

Yes Yes Yes
Will have to be in the morning for me, due to DS1's nap.
Oh how exciting. North London has a real reputation for being standoffish (especially Muswell HIll but don't get me started on that one)
Shall we keep bumping this thread until all who have posted so for have seen it and then re-convene on, say, the 3rd?
BTW I'm not volunteering to be team leader

hoxtonchick · 29/01/2004 23:07

You are definitely in charge, Suzy! Morning is better for us too.

suzywong · 29/01/2004 23:11

No way, if it's crap or some people aren't 'accustomed' to Holloway, I'll get stick for it.

hoxtonchick · 29/01/2004 23:12

Where we are, Holloway is dead posh.

suzywong · 29/01/2004 23:13

Bloody Hell, have you ever been to the Nag's Head market?

suzywong · 29/01/2004 23:16

Just joking, I'm sure everyone will like the Sobell kid's area, and it is dead easy to get to.

hoxtonchick · 29/01/2004 23:19

We can always sneak into Waitrose.

suzywong · 29/01/2004 23:21

LOL!
