Hi every, so much has been going while I've been away. Hallgerda I live one street from your kids school. Serentity Yes I was at the breakfast meet up you arranged. I use Hillside gardens as well. I'm sure we must have all seen each other in passing.
I'm the one with two boys 3 & 6 and upto another 3 two girls & 1 boy.

drosophila, I fear there may not be any paddling pool opportunities this year. I noticed yesterday morning that Brockwell Park's pool was empty, thought how nice it would be to get our own one out in the afternoon, then remembered the Thames Water hosepipe ban. If I'm wrong and there's a special dispensation for (or a handy clean water leak directly below) the Rookery pool, do let us know!

Hi everybody! I live in Streatham too. I´m not a mum yet, but I´m expecting a little one by the end of May. Very excited and scared at the same time, as you can imagine.

I´d like to keep in touch with other mums in the area as I´m relatively new in this part of London and don´t know many people. I´ll probably be bombarding you soon with questions about child care and playgroups :)

Hallgerda I'll look out for you at Hillside Gardens too. I'm the one looking harrassed with a 6yo blonde DD - if its after school she's usually the only one in a purple school blazer, if that helps......Batters is hopeless at this "admitting you recognise someone" lark. I think I may have scared several years off her life the time I did it to her!!!

You keep talking about Hillside Gardens.......where/what is it? Most of my friends with children live in South Norwood/Shirley so I have little experience of kid things in Streatham despite living in the area most of my life Please enlighten me (and have a look at my pub search thread please!)

HI ladies, Long time since i;ve been here. I don't know what i seem to do but always manage to get the worst virus so can't use pc. Never mind. I was thinking of arranging a meet up at hillside. That way if you don't like what you see you can always run away. Hope Not. If you are intersted, lets get some dates and time together. Hope to see you soon.

Still haven't managed to go up there and find it yet, but I'd make an effort for a meetup (depending on day/time etc)

just let us know what days and time suit. Then we can work around that. I can do monday and tuesday morning and lunch time. Wed & Fri mornings or Thursday when ever.

Well I'm around next week. but definitely not on Monday. We have a 'Bug' day as DS2 says (inset....insect....bug)o we're off to Legoland whilst it's sunny and quiet

If we do an after school hours one, I can only do wednesday/thursday/friday I'm quite happy to do daytime and after school as I really have no life atm

I don't know a mobile hairdresser, but the immobile one on Amesbury Avenue copes with stroppy toddlers better than many (DS2 used to be really awkward and screamy). Have fun at Legoland, serenity!
