GarfieldsGirl · 18/08/2006 22:34

thanks for replying! Will post a new message when the schools go back - we are off camping for a week but then everythings back to normal from second week in september! Am enjoying mumsnet...slightly gutted that have only just found it - the humour & attitude on here is fantastic!

Sophiev73 · 02/09/2006 13:59

Hello? Portsmouth mums are you still there? Just found this thread - am new to mumsnet and didn't realise it was here, durr... I'm in Southsea, two sons aged 2 and 11 weeks - although I have a few local friends it gets a bit lonely sometimes here on maternity leave - do you meet up at all? I'd like to join up but it'll be funny if I already know you!!

GarfieldsGirl · 06/09/2006 10:14

Morning all! Would you like to organise a meet-up? Seems Milton Park would be most central for everyone or maybe the seafront? I know it feels a bit weird, like a blind date or something, but it'd be fun! We could all wear pink carnattions...

Sophiev73 · 09/09/2006 08:03

carnations

pebblemum · 09/09/2006 08:46

Hi GarfieldsGirl. I only just found this post again, cant believe there are more of us. Im still up for a meet up (now the older kids are back at school-peace at last). Ive had dh off work for the past week and he is driving me mad so meeting sane people would be great

pebblemum · 09/09/2006 08:50

Ooops!! meant to say hello to everyone else on here too

Hello Portsmouth mums!!

Sophiev73 · 09/09/2006 08:53

Thought I must have said something to upset you

pebblemum · 09/09/2006 08:56

Its dh driving me mad I keep forgetting what i am doing. Ive got ds1 (9) moaning he wants to watch football, ds2 (almost 3) moaning for the sake of it and dh just getting on my nerves!! Will be glad for some 'adult' conversation

Sophiev73 · 09/09/2006 08:58

Keep the faith you're not alone! I'm multi-tasking this site with cbeebies site and Mr Tumble... aaargh... dh still in bed with ds2 of course lazy boys...

pebblemum · 09/09/2006 09:10

My dh is still in bed too but unfortunatley it doesnt stop him calling out to me. He's hurt his back so has been off work for the past week buti hope he goes back on monday. Its like having 3 kids in the house, and hes the worst one!!

GarfieldsGirl · 09/09/2006 13:24

Yep! Know what you mean pebblemum! DPs gone back to work last week after 15 months, and the men are def worse than the children!

I'm busy Tuesday this week, but any other day I'm free. Is Milton Park good for everybody? Or would you all prefer throwing stones in the water for 6 hours? (and yes, I have done that before now!!!!)

OP posts:
pebblemum · 09/09/2006 16:44

Milton Park is ok with me but im not sure if i can make this week. It looks like my dh may be having the week off again, his back is still bad and as he does a lot of heavy lifting, bending down etc at work he is worried that going back too soon may not be a good idea. I suppose he is right it just means me being stuck with him again
I will keep an eye on this thread to see if you do arrange something for this week, you never know i may get the chance to come

GarfieldsGirl · 10/09/2006 20:57

well, next wek instead then? so you can make it too pebblemum. Although you may all get very bored of me very quickly, as I'll be on a high, and all I will talk about is Robbie, Robbie, Robbie as I'm going to see him Sat. SOooooooooo can't wait!

Sophiev73 · 10/09/2006 21:48

Hi all - I'd really like to meet up, next week sounds good (not this week, is Sunday the start of the week? I get so confused) anyway so we can all come? Poor you pebblemum, there's nothing to be said for the rubbish-ness of men in pain... And lucky you Garfield I bet that gig will be rockin'!

pebblemum · 11/09/2006 15:26

Next week sounds great. GarfieldsGirl, we can rant on about Robbie together then as i am going to see him on Thursday dh is having the boys, im leaving at 10am and dont expect to get back until about 3am so a long day but im sure he will be worth it.

morsie · 12/09/2006 15:55

hiya...have been on holiday but yes I am up for meeting up too. am around mondays and fridays as work the rest of the week. Are we on for pebble throwing or dodging the grumpy park keeper?

morsie · 12/09/2006 16:21

to clarify thats throwing pebbles on the beach not pebblemum in the park

Sophiev73 · 12/09/2006 20:35

OK - I'm going to go for an actual date here - how about next friday? Beach or park-keeper avoiding? Hope you don't think I'm too bossy here or anything...

(Soph slinks off hanging head in desperate-for-friends manner)

morsie · 13/09/2006 08:42
