o.k. I'm bored at work so thought I'll start another threat trying to organise gettogethers :)

With or without kids... I'm game

The latest Ealing thread was considering a zoo visit of some sort when it gets a bit warmer... and now it's gone and gotten colder!

MrsRecycle · 15/03/2006 13:55

Boopert · 15/03/2006 14:00

We actually looked at two houses on Bedford and Clyfford but our offers weren't accepted. Don't mind as my house is lurvely. Apart from the canary yellow bathroom Angry

MrsRecycle · 15/03/2006 14:07

Oh we're the road along - Lea. What is it with yellow eh? We just got rid of our bright yellow hallway last week. Now I want to go for a plain white but dh isn't sure.

Boopert · 15/03/2006 14:13

Sorry, have i now hijacked the thread?

Cornwall Road. Not too far....

Uwila · 15/03/2006 14:14

Now that we all know where you guys live, shall we just come there on the 6th?

Boopert · 15/03/2006 14:19

Hahaha more than welcome if you can stand being within a building site!!!! And boxes of crap everywhere.

Ok, Old Orleans it is then....Blush

MrsRecycle · 15/03/2006 14:21

lol Uwila! Yeah you could all come and help me paint the hallway Wink

Boopert · 15/03/2006 14:21

I can't climb ladders but i'm good at cutting in....

MrsRecycle · 15/03/2006 14:23

Boo - I still have boxes of crap after 5 years. My dh is in the removal business and our garage is full of stuff that people don't want (good quality though I must admit - just don't have a big enough house for it!).

Boopert · 15/03/2006 14:30

So he's a hoarder then.....Grin Thought it was just my dad and sis.... Two houses full of others junk cos you never know, one day it might be worth something.... Yeah, worth putting in the bin!

MrsRecycle · 15/03/2006 14:46

Precisely Boo - I called him Mr Steptoe once and he got the right hump. You are in my train of thought though - I chuck everything in the recycling bag. Just a shame the wardrobe/desk/bikes are just too big.

Boopert · 15/03/2006 14:48

And dh's new car....lol. Better not let him see that one, won't be best pleased!

So where in Ealing were you?

Boopert · 15/03/2006 14:54

Oh just thought. Do you have a dentist near you? Trying to find one thats been recommended as terrified of them....
And badly need to go.

MrsRecycle · 15/03/2006 15:11

Oh we have an excellent dentist - the best ever! You may have to wait a month but you'll get in. He's on the High Street, opposite McD's. Jeremy Asquith. I was petrified of dentists until I went to him now I have fillings without injections! I used to live in Grosvenor Road.

Boopert · 15/03/2006 15:16

Oh my friend lived there for years. Tony and Tina. Prob won't know them....

Excellent. Will call and see if we can pay Mr. Dentist a visit.

Uwila · 15/03/2006 15:22

Eh? Do you want to start a "Local Amentities in HA4" thread?

Just for the 2 of you.

YanksUponThames · 15/03/2006 15:23

Hi again!
Not having been there before yet, I just want to make sure I know where to go. I'll take the 65 bus to Ealing Broadway (from here in TW9); is there a better bus stop closer to the Old Orleans, before the 65 gets to the end of the line at the station, or not, or is it just a short walk from the station anyway (as it looks like)? I'm looking forward to expanding my geographical (and shopping) clues. And actually meeting people in person and all that.

MrsR I'm as much a grandma as you; from what you said it sounds like we're about the same age! So what happened to the contents of your cupboard did you bin it or force yourself to consume it? Smile
Actually, I'm personally not hurting too bad missing the macaroni & cheese, but it is cheap and palatable comfort food that doesn't take too many brain cells to prepare (and actually involves milk - it's not completely synthetic, despite its appearance).

Do you need some, Uwila? I'm going back to our Raleigh house 25 March - 3 April, to check up on the college mates who are occupying the place and taking care of the cats and plants, but mostly to visit my mom and do some serious organizing and purging of my personal rubbish that got even more disorganized when we moved to that new house right before we moved here for 2 years...
Dh will stay here with ds for the week, which will be educational for him. Grin

Boopert · 15/03/2006 15:26

sorry Blush

MrsBigD · 15/03/2006 15:47

Just quickly emerging from the 'chickenpox scratch duty' ...

will amend booking as requested Grin to 6 April 2006 and also cheque for french doors... well there is always the goods lift I supposed GrinGrinGrin

Not more hoarders!!! We found THE solution... a remote storage unit ;)

OP posts:
MrsRecycle · 15/03/2006 16:08

A remote storage unit - I'll have one of those! Thanks for amending MrsD.

Yanks - if you take the 65, you can get off the stop before the Station - can't remember which one it is but you'll pass Old Orleans on your left and just get off the next stop.

Uwila - I couldn't possibily start a thread without you on it! Smile

Uwila · 15/03/2006 16:19

No, I don't want Kraft mac n cheese.... BUT I would love you even more than I do now (which is a lot considering we haven't met yet) if you would bring me some lovely Playtex Insulator sippy cups. Must must must be playtex.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE
