o.k. I'm bored at work so thought I'll start another threat trying to organise gettogethers :)

With or without kids... I'm game

The latest Ealing thread was considering a zoo visit of some sort when it gets a bit warmer... and now it's gone and gotten colder!

MrsBigD · 02/04/2006 17:15

Last chance to join us on 6 April at Old Orelans Grin

So far I've got the following on my list of mums attending:

MrsBigD
MrsRecyle
Trying2bGood
Uwila
Snowboo (hopefully)
DrYanks (hopefully)

How are you pg ladies? So who's going to be the designated driver Grin. Only kidding... I'll be walking I think, then again if you lot want to see some of my 'merchandise' I'd probably better bring the car. Amazing how heavy books are ;)

Typical MrsBigD - dh could give me a lift so I could have a drink but I can't drink as I'm pg so it looks like I'm a driver.

SnowBoo - have you decided yet? I did the tape measure test on me the morning and I'm 29 weeks so the picture is pretty spot on. It'd nice to see just how big I really am - compared to someone else.

Uwila · 03/04/2006 13:19

3 more days. Grin

Too bad I have to drive home. Sad

MrsRecycle · 03/04/2006 13:21

We've plenty of spare beds if you wanted to crash at ours Uwila - ap/dds are away.

Uwila · 03/04/2006 13:32

Ah, would love to. But I have to go to work in the morning. So can't get too carried away.

SnowBoo · 03/04/2006 14:09

How do you do the tape test?? Been measuring mine with loo roll Blush Measure 10 sheets now.

I'm not really mental, honest Wink

MrsRecycle · 03/04/2006 14:43

From the booklet I got from the Doctor (yes I've finally been!) it says you measure from the pelvic bone up until the start of the fluid and it's 1cm per week. (Sorry can't remember medical terminology) There was something in the press a few weeks ago about how unreliable this old method of dating is and I've just proved it!

Are you coming on Thursday?

SnowBoo · 03/04/2006 14:49

Fluid?? Gosh, sounds too complicated for old frazzled brain here! Grin

Hoping to make Thurs, just have to wait to see what dr says tomorrow. Have been getting really bad tummy ache and feeling quite rough. Will be home by 3pm so will let you know def then. If you don't hear from me means they have kidnapped me! Grin

MrsRecycle · 03/04/2006 14:52

By fluid - I mean the stuff that's protecting the baby (can't think of the term). My preg head is totally on today. I guess I mean the start of the bump (on you rib cage, in my case).

Uwila · 03/04/2006 15:04

The fluid is called amniotic fluid. But, I thought they measured from the bottom of the breast bone to the top of the pelvic bone.

MrsRecycle · 03/04/2006 15:06

That's what I meant Uwila - thanks for explaining!!

Uwila · 03/04/2006 15:11

Oh jeez, I hope you guys aren't taking medical advice from me. I may have just led you a stray.

MrsRecycle · 03/04/2006 15:14

Gosh if they measure from the bottom of the breast bone, I'm in trouble - I'll be 35 weeks!!

My friend who does ante-natal appointments was totally shocked by my size and she's seen me through my previous pg's.

MrsRecycle · 03/04/2006 15:17

Taking advice - we're expecting you to have your medical kit with you on Thursday Grin

Uwila · 03/04/2006 15:19

I'll bring my mobile phone and call NHS direct for you if needed.

MrsRecycle · 03/04/2006 15:33

pmsl Uwila!!

SnowBoo · 03/04/2006 16:01

I meant how do you know where the fluid begins/ends. Gathered you meant the amniotic stuff! Hahahahaha. At least its not only me that can't remember anything!
Oh gosh, who am i again????

MrsBigD · 04/04/2006 09:55

who cares whether we remember who we are as long as we remember to show up on Thursday GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Are we doing something on Thurday?

MrsBigD · 04/04/2006 12:33

let me check the back-up copy of my diary .... ah I knew I forgot something... there's a rather illegible 1900 OO EB entry...

OP posts:
Uwila · 04/04/2006 12:37

You back up your diary? How sad.
