o.k. I'm bored at work so thought I'll start another threat trying to organise gettogethers :)

With or without kids... I'm game

The latest Ealing thread was considering a zoo visit of some sort when it gets a bit warmer... and now it's gone and gotten colder!

I'm three weeks behind you - I'll have to check out the picture and see what my bump is though. Monday's fine.

MrsRecycle · 29/03/2006 12:34

Boo - I'm a 29 weeker - the scary thing is I was never a 12 weeker - even at 6 weeks.

SnowBoo · 29/03/2006 12:39

Ok, so maybe we need a couple of extra spaces for the two fat ladies Grin

Well, off to pick ds up from nursery. Have a party to attend this afternoon! Screaming baies and todds....

Catch you all later x

Uwila · 29/03/2006 12:41

ooooo you're in trouble, snowboo. I just want everyone to take note that it was not I who said the f word!!!!

MrsBigD · 29/03/2006 13:42

Shall I extend the table reservation to 8 people then? Grin

OP posts:
trying2bgood · 29/03/2006 20:01

MrsBigd - I think I need an extra seat as if you think you are fat then I am in big trouble as I never shed the weight from pregancy or more precisely post marriage life!

MrsBigD · 29/03/2006 20:03

me think we all suffer from a distorted self-image! what's it called? Dismorphia or something like that Grin

SnowBoo · 29/03/2006 20:12

I'd love to come on Saturday, but I'm going shoe shopping. Priorities, you know.

Oh have any of you skinny preggies one been reding the scientology thread? Are going to keep quiet for labour and delivery?

YanksUponThames · 30/03/2006 18:32

ello ladies
I'm still on for the 6th, I believe. Knock wood.
Dh came home Tues., still a bit tired and hoarse voice, but no more infection and fully oxygenated again. Off work for 2 weeks or so. He's feeling much better than he was when really ill, and he's even not really moaning much and is actually fixing his own tea (& even sausages)(!) I'm very grateful 'cos it means (a) his energy is getting much better and (b) he's kindly trying to reduce the extra load on me from having him underfoot all day. What a sweetie. It's nice of him, since for some reason it always seems that when he's home all the time, there's more than twice the dishes to wash, crumbs to mop up, and laundry to do, etc. That's men for you. I suppose it's just going to get worse as ds gets older. Grin Glad he's feeling so much better, though.

In the meantime, been busy with a sudden wad of unusual & unexpected bureaucratic chores all happening at once, including trips downtown and a trip to the airline ticket desk at Heathrow, that had to be done by tight deadlines, and all aside from visiting dh at hospital, etc. Finally nearly caught up. I think. Until the next ones suddenly pop up in my face.
As Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman once said in a different context, "Buggre alle this for a lark."

Obviously I'm not the only one having a crap month, though, and I sympathize. Chin up and all that.

(I also sympathize with pg sickness -- I too felt more or less constantly sick for 6 or 7 months with ds. Such fun. Even threw up in my car once while just arriving somewhere to eat lunch. He also stole too many of my B vitamins (which I have a private theory about contributing to pnd), but I guess it was worth it since he's really been quite healthy all along and I'm grateful for that.)

You're right, YanksUponThames is too long (if descriptive). Hmmm. Other "yankmum" related things seem to be taken. Would "DrYank" be pretentious?

MrsBigD · 30/03/2006 18:44

ROFL DrYank ;)

Glad to hear dh is back home and oxiginated. Hope you can make 6th

I'm having a fun week ahead of me... nanny is off sick with ... wait for it.... chickenpox! when she called me this morning saying she had a rash and described it to me I said it sounds like cp. But she said impossible she had it as a child... ah well doc confirmed the diagnosis and is drugging her up.

Looks like ds might break out too, spotted some spots on him but those might just be prickly heat as I dressed him a bit too warmly today I think... I'll see in the morning :)

Also my dad and his girlfriend are arriving on Monday. He probably won't mind 1 or 2 days babysitting but not the whole week I'm sure...

Wonder how my boss is going to take it that I'm off yet again... ah well... I cross that bridge when it crashes down burning Grin

Helloooooooo ladies - is there anyone from Isleworth on this thread? I'm an Isleworthian (not by birth) and have a 14 month old dd. Work 3 days a week Wed-Fri (hence have time to post on Mumsnet) but would love to meet some new peeps. Do you guys ever meet up locally? Do you mind me gatecrashing your thread Grin

SnowBoo · 31/03/2006 23:09

Hello bunyan! And welcome....

I'm an Ealing-ite. Or used to be....

Uwila · 01/04/2006 09:36

Isleworthians welcome! Grin

I live in Sunbury, so I think it is I who gets gate crashing award. But, I work in Brentford so after work meet ups in Ealing are actually pretty convenient.

Can you come on the 6th?

MrsBigD · 01/04/2006 12:14

Welcome BV and we love gatecrashers Grin Can you rash on 6 april? If so let us know so I can up the table reservation :)
