thanks - Lucycat will look forward to being toasted Smile

mumsnetter formerly known as MTS- it would be great to meet up when you visit Essbee. she was being helpful about places to live but then went offline.

was never a size 10, ever. maybe when about age 10 I guess.

i could have brought my mooncup to demonstrate Grin just think what you've all missed!

giraffeski · 09/03/2006 22:14

I am going to wear a black trenchcoat and trilby, and lurk at a nearby table in case I don't like the look of y'all.

giraffeski · 09/03/2006 22:16

And, MTS- have got a mysterious parcel for you!

Nemo1977 · 09/03/2006 22:17

darn there is no way I could bring a marsbar as id unless I buy 10 for the car trip...pmsl.

MTS are you coming along on fri. At least will recognise someone.

threelittlebabies · 09/03/2006 22:23

I will hav 3yo possibly sulking at having to walk! And dd in her brand new buggy, which I just got today and am very excited about- it's red! Smile

alexsmum · 09/03/2006 22:32

3lb- you can't make him walk from where you live! I wouldn't walk from there to town!
Can't you jump a bus?

OP posts:
alexsmum · 09/03/2006 22:33

threelittlebabies · 09/03/2006 23:03

Sorry, was ironing! PMSL alexsmum, as if! I meant from the bus station! GrinAm getting buggy board for the new buggy, so can get out and about with him. Still PMSL at you thinking that! I did offer to get off bus at yours and go together, but YOU were ignoring ME!! Wink
btw, am going to visit family tom-mon and may be internet-less and - shriek- MN less! Will speak to you all next week if that's the case

giraffeski · 09/03/2006 23:09

FF is not coming btw.

alexsmum · 09/03/2006 23:11

oh thank god for that!!!!
had images of poor three year old having to walk all that way!!!
Oh well, kk5 is about 2 mins away from bus station!
I would like to meet you and go together-kind of like a pre-meet up, meet up.However! I am notoriously disorganised and unpunctual and would be too scared that i would still be running around with towel wrapped round my head when i was supposed to be meeting you!

OP posts:
alexsmum · 09/03/2006 23:12

tell me more about the buggy btw!

OP posts:
threelittlebabies · 09/03/2006 23:18

Aw, why giraffeski? Shame Sad

am (as I will now be calling you because am lazy bint) we can talk about it next week anyway. Are you going to walk? I am not as cruel as to make my baby boy walk all that way Blush he struggles to the shops sometimes, but think that's because he sees his sister in the pram!

The buggy is FAB! I have wanted a new one ever since I got pg with dd, because mine was shit, and it broke the other week so I got my wish. Also, dd is v dainty, so will get my/her wear out of it. It's a gesslein, from The Baby in Stanley Green. It's red and cream and lovely. Was going to get a Phil and Ted double, but ds is too big for it, and is 3.5 so would get hardly any use out of it. Pity, as I quite liked it. I've had such buggy envy for ages, so am v pleased! Will show it off next week Grin

alexsmum · 09/03/2006 23:23

sounds really lazy, but i would probably get the bus.
The bus stop is practically outside my house and i live right the other end of...where i live! not the near town end!

OP posts:
threelittlebabies · 09/03/2006 23:46

I'll just meet you there, but may make you walk back! Wink

threelittlebabies · 10/03/2006 00:47

BTW, how snubbed was I on the Cheshire meet up thread??! I was only asking! The Liverpool thread were friendly and replied to my attempt to unite Mners Blush

alexsmum · 10/03/2006 16:04

oh my god- i didn't see this.
let me have a look.

OP posts:
alexsmum · 10/03/2006 16:06

oh stuff'em! we'll have a much better time than the will, stuck up buggers!

OP posts:
MerlinsBeard · 10/03/2006 16:36

Another who will be (prob) walking form bus station, unless i get the 192 that is!

lol @ the thought of 3yo walking all that way....my mum used to make me walk from cheadle hulme to stockport when i was little Shock

threelittlebabies · 10/03/2006 22:58

Shock mom! I walked with my mu from cheadle heath down bird hall lane and councillor lane to cheadle vilage, but that's because we got off the bus at the wrong stop Blush

threelittlebabies · 10/03/2006 23:25

oh, and am- I was about to post "And now snubbed here too!" till I saw your post Grin

MerlinsBeard · 12/03/2006 19:55

has this thread died coz everyone is chicken or because we are all trying to buy mooncups as i.d ?? Grin

TearsBeforeBedtime · 12/03/2006 19:57

DS has got gastroenteritis Sad. Seems to be a weird form that's more cough/cold/loss of appetite than actual d & v. What are everyone's thoughts about when he's fit to socialise? With straightforward d & v, 48 hours after last erm explosion would be the usual, but not sure how it applies with cough/cold element to the bug.

(the MNetter formerly known as MTS)

MerlinsBeard · 12/03/2006 20:00

my ds2 is also just exploding (!) but my dp is off so i can leave him home if he is still poorly Grin and just bring the big un.

as far as i am concerned, coughs and colds r common place anyway so i wouldn't worry about giving it to anyone else unless its particularly bad. could just b me tho

TearsBeforeBedtime · 12/03/2006 20:01

It is really quite a nasty bug - me and DH have been knocked out by it, DS was running a temperature and was listless yesterday, so I want to be extremely cautious not to pass it on!
