jaamy · 16/05/2006 13:20

OK - will let you off but no bbq this weekend..just in case. How's the job hunting going for you? Hope you and little L are both ok.
We're all ok. Except that both dds were up in the night, and seem to be most nights so zzzzzzz here. At yukky work at the mo'. Building work in full swing at home so can't get any peace and quiet there either!
Browny - happy birthday to your dear little DS2 this week. Are you doing anything nice?

BROWNY · 16/05/2006 13:33

hiya Jammy!

ds2 has just had his 2 year assesment - he didn't say a word to the health visitor as he'd just woke up!! I can't believe he's 2 almostSad, we're going to have a little party with family at our house, nothing mad, just fairy cakes and jelly and ice-cream for the neighbours kids at about 4pm, then the grandparents and my brother and his girlfriend will come for 'tea'. Maybe we could meet up soon, seeing as the weather is starting to get warmer!Smile

jaamy · 16/05/2006 14:14

Mmmm, Browny - Fairy cakes, jelly and ice cream - every 2 year old's dream!! Hope you have a lovely time. And I'm sure DS2 passed his assessment with flying colours.
We went to a Christening on Sunday - J was in her element - cake and crisps till they came out of her ears and then shake it all up on the bouncy castle!!! A slept her way through nearly the whole thing [angel emoticon]. Though I would have liked to have shown her off to everyone.
We've got another party on Fri - another 2 yo! So more cake then - no wonder J won't sleep, too high on sugar.
Would be lovely to meet up and let J run off some of this sugar. We should really sort something out.

biglips · 16/05/2006 14:19

ooh ive got a long way off till my little one be 2 (or is that sooner? as her bday is oct - eek!)

jobhunting is crap and cant be arse with it all esp when the sun is out - boo hoo! but never mind as i miss having money!.... LOADSA MONEY!!!!!!! (Harry Enfield's expression)

ive got loads of paperwork to do now eg credit tax to sort out, need to buy 2 safety gates - i know naughty mummy !!! but im ringing up a guy who sells them cheap at my local health centre (Surestart area)

Deffo will all meet up and Browny and Joec - hope you all have a fab time at Havens as the kids will love it!! - i wanna go now!! Sad maybe next year!!

biglips · 16/05/2006 14:22

oh and im not sure whether to take DD to see Fimbles live at the Empire (she is calling them "Mimbles" and wiggle her fingers too) as she will be 21 months then (july)

Browny - yeah deffo no probs with his 2 yrs assessment - did you tell them hes a Ladies man!!! Grin Grin

jaamy · 16/05/2006 20:00

Biglips - J and I are going to see fimbles. Should be fun trying to keep her still for more than 5 secs! L will be 2 in no time - unfortunately it flies by.

biglips · 18/05/2006 10:14

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BROWNYS DS2
hes 2 today - hooray!!!!! Grin

BROWNY · 18/05/2006 10:27

Well I'm up to my elbows in jelly!Grin, the house is a tip and I've no energy to get it looking any better.... I'll get there in the end, I usually do. Ds2 woke up early for once, he was sang Happy Birthday by his sisters and brother and opened his pressies before they went to school! When their grandad said, "come on kids, time to go" Joe shouted, "NO" and kept tight hold of his brother... he wanted them to stay and play with his new toys, ahhhh!!! Can't believe he's two already, well I'm hoping he goes down for a nap while I tackle the house!! Wish me luck!!

biglips · 18/05/2006 10:41

good luck browny xxxx

jaamy · 19/05/2006 07:49

Happy Birthday to your littlest man for yesterday, Browny! Hope you all had a lovely day. x
...to make up for what looks like a miserable day outside today!

biglips · 19/05/2006 19:33

hiya

is any of yous or do u know anyone selling safety gates?

jaamy · 23/05/2006 12:56

Sorry, BL, don't know of any safety gates for sale - did you try surestart?
I'm very excited. DH is taking me away for a romantic weekend for our 6th wedding anniversay this weekend. Not entirely sure where we're going but I intend to take full advantage of our time without DDs - though of course I'll miss them!

biglips · 23/05/2006 18:14

jaamy - hiya... thanks for your advice and yes i did contact surestart but the fellas fundings ran out and wont be back till next year so i bought 3 for £54 from Argos

BROWNY · 25/05/2006 14:49

hiya, hope everyone's o.k.

Jammy, where did you go for your romantic break? Come on, make us all jealous!WinkGrin

My lot and Joec's lot, enjoyed our little break in Wales, but the weather was awful!! Good job we had radiators in our apartments, the kids all got on well which was nice to see!

Hope the weather changes for the better soon, kids are off for half term next week!

jaamy · 30/05/2006 15:55

Hello!
We had a lovely weekend, thanks Browny - breakfast in bed (with champagne!), swimming/jacuzzi/sauna, romantic dinner for 2(Champagne again!) etc... Went to a hotel in the Peak district. Very bust though as they had a wedding on each day we were there. Nice to have some time to ourselves though I over did it with the food and wine so am now suffering from lack of proper sleep, esp as A had me up last night. She didn't want to sleep in her cot so I enede up sleeping propped up with her cuddled into my chest [naughty mummy]. But she's such a lovely cuddly little bunny!
Amyway, hope everyone had a nice bank holiday weekend. Can't believe we have to wait 3 months for the next one!

biglips · 01/06/2006 16:28

oh what a jaamy you are!!! get it - your name?? no?? never mind!!!! Blush

browny - glad you had a good time despite the awful weather but better than staying at home!!

Well me and darling DD got conjunctivities - yes browny it was that so mine just clearing up but DD had her overnite and it cleared itself up! -strange!! Bought a Mothercare pram for 25 quids from a charity shop as the one ive got now the plastic footrest is really bent and resting the wheels which i nearly have a whiplash!! turning sharp right or left - ouch! so the mothercare one got a hard footrest - wish i would've of got one of these which DD was younger and smaller as her feet is touching the wheels too!!

How is everyone - DD is 20 months old today - crikey!!!! the number 2 is coming like a FLASH!!!

Nemo1977 · 01/06/2006 17:35

hi all
havent been on here as have been having nightmarish time at the min. LAst week had threatened mc so had to wait till bank holiday monday for scan but all is ok. Baby due 15th jan.

Now H is in hospital again. She went in on tuesday and no idea when she is coming home again as she is on oxygen again and steroids so have to wait for at least 24hrs minus oxygen.

biglips · 01/06/2006 17:41

oh no nemo - is it the same thing like last time about your H?... try and not forget to rest and relax too esp when youre pg xxxx fingers cross for you for everything xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

jaamy · 01/06/2006 23:49

Nemo - take care of you and all the littlies. Prayers that H will be ok and they'll find out what's causing all these infections.
Browny - hope you're coping with the half term. Bet you're wishing you were back in Wales - rain or no rain. Glad you had a good time.
Biglips - hope eyes all better. I always get an eye infection when DDs do, too. Have funny image of you racing round with new pram wearing driving goggles and making Formula1 car noises! LOL And yes, I did feel a bit "jaamy" at the weekend.
Finally made it to Grandmas today - isn't it fab?! J was worn out after half an hour but we stayed there for nearly 3 hours!! Needless to say she was asleep early tonight.
A has got her 3rd tooth. Bless her!
OK, it's been so long since I've seen any of you...who's up for a meet up?

biglips · 02/06/2006 09:13
