Hi all! Sorry to start a new thread but I'm on dialup atm so finding it hard to post on the old one as it's so long!

Happy New Year Everyone.

Mishi - course we blooming haven't managed to organise a meet without you to kick us all into touch . But how about having a meet up at Granmas at Hunts Cross on the morning of 23rd Jan 2005 (best after 20th as DH get's paid on 20th so better cash flow position!!)

OP posts:
biglips · 26/04/2006 08:40

haiy jaamy... no u havent frightened anyone off as i had no computer for 2 days as had a virus so Dp spent 2 days (ish) reformatting it (and a few hiccup on the way!)

is your job is better than what u thought it will be ? as im still looking for a job too

i think this thread is dying away abit as noone seems to post on here anymore (or unless they are still recovering from the 2 weeks bank hols ordeal wiv kids!! - hee hee!!)

BROWNY · 26/04/2006 14:09

Hiya, I'm still around!Grin, but as the weather's been warmer I've been spending more time in our garden with ds2, he loves it and it's always a battle to get him to come inside! Things are starting to return to normal now the kids are back in school, i.e. ironing school uniforms on a daily basis (don't how how they manage to get them so rotten), and shopping for packed lunch stuff!

Hope we can organise a meet up when the weather is nice and warm!Smile

biglips · 26/04/2006 16:03

im up for it Wink... been to the may logan ball play for 2.5 hours and had lunch too... that old bag wasnt there! or otherwise i would've of growled at her!! Angry

julezboo · 26/04/2006 18:36

Im still about, finally got the all clear from hospital today - such a pain i did a pg test last fri and it was still pos after D&C on 31st nar!!! But i had scan today and my lil eggy was about to be released, we should get some results from investigations to next wed :)

How is everyone???

jaamy · 27/04/2006 23:17

Ha - glad I've not frightened everyone away!
Julez-hope the investigations turn up some resolvable (is that a word??) explanation.
Browny - I don't know how you do it - getting everyone out in the morning. Really struggling here at the moment, up at 6, usually not in bed before midnight and one or other and often both DDs awake in the night. It's as if they know that I'm back at work and if they make it difficult enough for me I'll stop going! Work has picked up a bit this week tho I'm still on my ownsome in a windowless box of a room all day.
Anyway, moan, moan, moan...Hope everyone is ok? Anyone doing anything nice for the bank holiday weekend?
Biglips - if you want a job in Bolton, I could give you a lift! Poor you being without internet for 2 days!
I'd be up for a meet up tho am limited to Thurs/Fri afternoons. Building work is supposed to be starting on our house on tues (for at least 8 weeks!) so will probably be looking for an escape...
Take care all x

biglips · 28/04/2006 09:10

jaamy - ooh a job!....email me pls! [email protected]

we are off to camelot themepark on sunday

BROWNY · 28/04/2006 15:11

Jammy - hiya, sorry you've stuck in a horrible little roomSad, put a lovely picture of a hot, sunny beach with blue skies on your wall and dream of holidays!GrinWink. What work are you having done on our house? Eight weeks of making builders tea, I don't envy you thereWink.

Julezboo, I hope you get a wonderful doctor who can help you, I've got my fingers crossed (and toes and eyes) for you!Smile Hope we can meet soonSmile.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the sunshine and have a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend!Grinx

jaamy · 28/04/2006 22:56

Biglips - you must be really desperate for a job if you're willing to travel to Bolton! Takes me nearly an hour each way and I've got a head start on you. There was a customer service job going but think it closed today. Will check and email you on tuesday. have fun in Camelot!
Browny - Have already plastered the walls with photos of DDs and DD1's artwork. Was planning on bringing in a plant to talk to but my desk is so tiny and the lack of natural light would probably kill it. We are having the garage converted to a 2nd sitting room/playroom and another bedroom added. Don't think I 'll be making many cups of builder's tea as I'm planning on being out whenever they're here. Glad weather better as at least we can get out and about.
Have no plans for weekend. DH and BIL are putting up a supersized shed to accommodate all the junk...sorry, valuable gadgetry from the garage so I will be a DIY widow once again! Will probably head over to my mum's in Formby as she too is a widow this weekend as DDad ahs gone to Ireland on a jaunt.
Have a lovely sunny weekend all.

biglips · 01/05/2006 09:43

jaamy · 02/05/2006 15:09

Sympathies, joec. We've not long got rid of a double whammy of chickenpox, too! If they are itchy, try calomine and aqueous cream - most pharmacies can irder it in for you. Combats the drying effect of the calomine alone. Hope get better soon, CP is really doing the rounds.
Was nice to bump in to you, too Nemo. If it hadn't have been so close to shop chucking-out time and we hadn't had mothers and husbands in tow it might have been nice to go for a cup of tea and a chat somewhere. Lovely to see Hannah looking so well and I too was surprised that I managed to remember names (I think!). Yes, we purchased the Leapfrog French speaking fridge magnet thingy - don't know what a 1 year old will make of it but am fairly sure he won't already have one! Usually buy clothes as a gift but thought I'd get something different this time... Can just see his mother's face when she opens it LOL!
Hope you had a lovely lazy day Biglips.
No sign of any builders when I left home this morning. Just want it to be over and done with now...no doubt there'll be lots of maoning coming from my direction.
Does anybody do anything on a Thurs/Fir afternoon that I could tag along with?

jaamy · 02/05/2006 15:14

BTW, Biglips - that job has closed for applications...good thing as you REALLY wouldn't want to travel all the way to sunny Bolton. But I do keep you in mind for anything near you when I'm doing my own little job searches.
Take care all x

biglips · 02/05/2006 15:47

jammy -thanks Smile

well yesterday was a LAZY-ish day - did abit of tidying/cleaning etc BUT today is a panicking day as ive got a month to find a job before we be in trouble with our financial probs! Sad

BROWNY · 04/05/2006 09:33

hiya everyone, we had a lovely day yesterday at Crosby beach after school, we've never been there before! Kids had a whale of a time, so did we. It was a lovely sight to watch ds2 run around on the sand and dig as he's never played on the sand beforeSmile.

Hope to meet you soon x

biglips · 06/05/2006 08:21

went to my auntys and sat in her BIG back garden (by Alder hey hosp) for 3 hours - it was gorgeous - got abit burnt on my shoulders and Tweenie was chasing around my auntys rabbit in the garden - just to wear her out!

biglips · 06/05/2006 11:38

we are having a bar-b-q today as its gorgeous so just preparing the garden.. brushing and cleaning the floor

BROWNY · 07/05/2006 19:07

Hope you managed to enjoy your bbq yesterday BL before it rained. What a miserable day today's been, typical for the weekend, well it's supposed to be nice next week fingers crossedSmile

biglips · 07/05/2006 19:55

eerrrrr! no! Grin..... will have it for next weekend as supposed to be lovely too

from wed its hot, hot, hot!!!

jaamy · 07/05/2006 21:30

I like the sound of that...can rain all day mon-wed as in work but bring on the sun from thurs...
DH got carried away with the BBQs had one on Fri and on Sat - only cooking for 3 of us as A a bit young for beefburgers!
We made it to Walton Hall today before the rain set in and had a nice walk and attempted to wear out J on the trampolines and swings and slides. She was delighted when we saw some cute fluffy baby ducklings on the fish pond.

Took A swimming for the first time yesterday. She was a bit unsure at first but soon got the hang of it. She looked soooo cute in her little inflatable chair. J had a ball as usual. Now just need to figure out how I can get some excercise at the same time.
Oooh, just noticed, this is the 1000th post - do I get a prize? Any one know how to start a new thread? This one's getting a bit long.
Any luck on wed, biglips?
Hope all ok.
Night night.
