I lasted 4 hours last night, so I'm doing ok at this job lark! They ddin't freak me out, I'm just worried about thinking of the right thing to say or sounding confident enough.... :) (had one lovely lonely guy who talked for 20 minutes about films food and music!!!!)

FastasleepInABunnySuit · 09/04/2006 13:35

BROWNY · 09/04/2006 13:52

lol FAS!!! Brave???? My nerves would be shot waiting for the phone to ring!! So I'm assuming you can recommend some 'good reading' for mumsnet now, seeing as you've been doing a lot of research!!??

Honestly don't know how you do it, you look far too young to know about such things!!!GrinWink, but if it brings home the money WELL DONE YOU!!!

FastasleepInABunnySuit · 09/04/2006 15:55

Don't have time to brick it between calls, only had about 2 minutes and then ring ring!

I found my imagination was better than the stories so haven't read that many, joined a great american board for women who do it over there though, so lots of nice tips :)

julezboo · 09/04/2006 16:52

What is it you do FAS? If you dont mind me asking?

Went to the trafford centre today only to check the bank before we "really" started shopping to be disappointed lol so came home! Watched a film and ate KFC. Hope everyone else has had a good weekend x x x x

Hiya Julezboo, how are you feeling? Not too sore I hope....fingers crossed that the hospital's tests will determine your next course of treatment very soonSmile.

My lot are off for two weeks Easter holidays, all they've done all day is scream at each other, argue and fight, I just wish it was a bit warmer so we could spend more time in the park.Angry

BROWNY · 10/04/2006 12:39

Julezboo - a holiday is just what you need, it'll do you all the world of good!!Smile

Ahh, doesn't time fly, my baby will be 2 next month and I can't believe two years have passed so quicklySad, it's lovely to hear him copying words more now, although the terrible 2's are starting already!Shock

Ledodgy · 10/04/2006 12:59

Happy Birthday for yesterday JOEC. Hi Joolz I agree a holiday is deffo what you need go enjoy yourself! Well we've been to the drs this morning as jack had a rash and i was concerned in general about the amount of times he pukes up after feeds and he has a virus but has also been diagnosed with reflux. I think their going to try him on infant gaviscon first to thicken his feeds but dr is going to talk to the HV before he gives us it as he thinks maybe we may need the special milk as well so i've just got to wait for the phonecall. I'm just glad its finally got sorted as we've been to another dr before with this and she was rubbish but this was my nice dr and he said I was right to go back so made me feel justified in persuing it.

BROWNY · 10/04/2006 13:18

Ledodgy, just thought I'd better warn you that I've seen on threads that the infant gaviscon causes acute constipation. I had acute reflux when I was a baby (which isn't that common in girls) and I needed an operation, but what I had was called Pyloricstynosis (sp), just thought I'd mention it. Hope he gets well soonSmile

BROWNY · 10/04/2006 13:19

Don't want to worry you at all, just wanted you to know that there was a disorder for acute reflux that's all x

Ledodgy · 10/04/2006 13:35

Hiya Browny cheers he definately hasn't got Pyloricstynosis as he isn't projectile vomiting or losing weight he just has a touch of reflux i'm still not sure if dr hargreaves (isn't he your dr too?) is going to give him that or the special milk yet so i'll see how he goes on which ever we get. Thanks for the warning though Smile

BROWNY · 10/04/2006 13:39

yeah, you're right - that's my surgery too, if it was me, I'd try the special milk by itself for a little while, before the gaviscon, sounds like that might cause another problemSad. I've got all the kids off now for two weeks, I've only just managed to have a shower!!

biglips · 10/04/2006 14:22

hiya everyone.... ive just been doing a mad spring cleaning from head to toe in my house, whilst DD is watching yellow Cbeebies!.... ive nearly finished before ill collasped!

I've done the 'bath' thing quite a few times, so don't feel like you're going doo-lally!!Grin, the water came through our kitchen ceiling too, but as soon as the dripping stopped everything was o.k.!!!
