nemo - re:prams - I'ld just go round the charity shops to find a cheap one - you'ld be amazed what people give away, you might even find a nice one!

biglips · 12/02/2006 10:10

oh yes - charity shops are good too as ive seen bargains in there and i think Wow, they look very new.....!

jaamy - yes she got a little bruise on her head but is cheerful!!

what a grim day (raining)

BROWNY · 12/02/2006 10:20

Morning!! JAAMY, glad you enjoyed yourself last night, he's not my cup of tea either but I'd go to see him too just for somewhere to go!!

jaamy · 12/02/2006 11:02

Yes, yucky weather bu tneed to get out somewhere. J has too much energy to keep indoors all day!
Nemo - my friend is trying to get rid of her pram - think is mama & papas. Will ask her tomorrow if she still has it and how much she wants for it. It has been very well looked after.

biglips · 12/02/2006 11:12

glad you had a lovely time jaamy!!

Nemo1977 · 13/02/2006 13:54

hello all

hope you are all ok!
I am fine, had a quiet weekend.Went to my friends party on sat night and had a really nice time, didnt get home till after 1am but wasnt drinking so I didnt suffer too much. Bought a stroller in toys r us on sunday that will attach a buggy board when I get around to getting it from my friend. Today so far I have taken hannah for her first injections and Adam for his first session at playgroup. Have to pick adam up at 3.30pm so am clock watching a bit!!

Bit of info for you all that I just found out. Apparantly liverpool pct have set up a scheme in chemists for anybody over 1yr old called care in the chemist. You register for it and get a little booklet that when you need something to treat minor ailements in kids like headlice, hayfever, diarrohia etc you take your booklet to any liverpool chemists and get it free without having to go to the drs. I registered Adam for it today.

jaamy · 13/02/2006 19:20

Hope Adam had a fab time at playgroup!

BROWNY · 13/02/2006 19:47

`Nemo, glad you went to the party on Saturday, bet it did you the world of good - hope so!.

Yes, I've registered my lot (me too) with the Care in the Chemist Scheme, that's how I was given those tablets a few weeks ago that made my heart race. Anyway, it's good for the kids and saves sitting in the doctors waiting for Calpol!.

baba was out in teh back garden just before properly for the first time and she "found" her big sisters bike... i let her on it and she wouldnt get off it!!!! and was throwing a tantrum abit when i asked her to come in

Nemo1977 · 14/02/2006 12:48

bless her BL. Know what her summer toy should be then..lol

Have been out to baby massage this morning so currently have a zonked out hannah in her pram and adam being quite mellow too. Think play group is catching up with him from yesterday as he never had a sleep in afternoon and went to bed at 8pm but still got up at 6.20am this morning. Am going to make him go for a snooze after lunch and hope H stays asleep too!!

jaamy · 14/02/2006 13:14

What is the weather doing??? It's sunny blue sky out front window but i can hear rain on the conservatory window...mad!
lol at your DD biglips!
Nemo, yes, J is always completely shattered after a day at nursery. Fell aseep in her dinner last night!

Nemo1977 · 14/02/2006 13:47

aww bless her jaamy. I was hoping it would have that effect on adam as we were out all morning at gps and other errands then he was in play group for the afternoon but nope it hasnt. He is also claiming to not be tired today..sigh. I was hoping he would go for a snooze as I want to sort out hannahs room and attempt to move her in there tonight!!

Also agree about the weather sun was shinning before and now its raining!! Good job i have a drier as have a ton of washing on/to do and bucket full of nappies!!

BROWNY · 14/02/2006 13:52

I thought that too JAMMY, got a surprise when I heart the rain in the conservatory, mind you I love sitting in there when it's raining, love to hear the rain hitting the roof. I've got my dd2 off school today, she WAS complaining of an upset tummy and pains, but as soon as the others left for school she recovered!!. Ds2 is so pleased that she's playing with him, he calls for her all the time, poor dd2, she said, "I shouldn't be playing with him, I'm sick!!".

Nemo, don't envy you with all those nappies, I never tried it, but good on you for looking after the environment Looking forward to Saturday big style!

Nemo1977 · 14/02/2006 13:55

browny im not doing it to look after the environment more for looking after our money. I didnt use cloths with adam but someone on here was selling a load really cheaply so I bought them as they were new and have surprisingly fallen in love with using them!! Plus resale value is quite surprising.

biglips · 14/02/2006 14:03

its lovely here as not too cold and sunny/blue sky

ner ner ner!!!

BROWNY · 14/02/2006 14:09

Nemo - resale value? Really?? That does surprise me!! My 2nd cousin used them for her first born and plans to use them again, I suppose once you get into a routine of soaking etc, it wouldn't take up much more time, especially if you have a dryer, essential on a day like today!!

Biglips - you can stop being so smug, I can see a tiny bit of blue sky!!! lol

Nemo1977 · 14/02/2006 14:17

honestly people buy them when they have been used and at ridiculous prices too..sometimes only 50p cheaper than new etc..bizarre in my opinion..but who am I to argue..lol

BROWNY · 14/02/2006 14:20

Well, whatever takes your fancy!. Hope you're feeling happier after your night out on Saturday, were you shattered come Sunday morning?

BROWNY · 14/02/2006 14:28

Nemo - YOU'RE RIGHT!!! Someone has just started a thread..... asking if anyone has ever used second-hand nappies???

vicimelly · 14/02/2006 14:30

PMSL, did you think she was having you on

BROWNY · 14/02/2006 14:32

PMSL, well no, but I couldn't imagine anyone buying 2nd hand nappies, what if you'd bought them off e-bay and they were filthy when you got them?? YUK!!. I've just e-mailed you!
